  Thank you Tiki5872 and rosemow. I followed the instructions, closed my Origin, restarted my computer went back into Origin and the update is now updating. Back in the days of the Sims 1/2 all we had to do was download an update and install it! Now with online big brother watching our every move things like this can become a problem. It's either find out the way to update or just play the game without updates! And updates take ages to update unlike installing and patch we used to have with the Sims 1/2!
