Hello @Myaheart13
You can write your comment in the white box, just like you have just done in this thread,
When you are a full member, there will be a blue new discussion button on the top right hand side of the screen, and you can then start a new discussion thread.
I will repost here about becoming a full member
You need to have 25points and 15 posts before you can become a full member and can then change your profile picture , post pictures, have a signature, start new threads, edit posts , post links that show up correctly, and have quotes appear in grey boxes ,This thread explain about it. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/934205/small-change-for-new-members#latest

Hello @CarlGuy3
Try coming completely out of the game. Shut down your computer, then restart the computer. Log into origin, launch the game, then try to access the gallery then.
Sometimes there are short times where the Gallery has server issues.
I just started forums today but I don't see the "NEW DISCUSSION" Button anywhere?
Hello @pxpiq
Welcome to the forums! You need to have 25points and 15 posts before you can become a full member and can then have an Avi picture, post pictures, have a signature, start new threads, edit posts , post links that show up correctly and have quotes appear in grey boxes . This thread explains about it. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/934205/small-change-for-new-members#latest
You receive a point each time another simmer presses like or awesome or insightful on a post that you have posted in a thread created by another simmer. Keep posting on the different threads and sections of the forums and you will soon get the points/posts. The off topic section is a good place to post. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/categories/off-topic-chat
When you are a full member, the blue new discussion button will appear at the top right hand side of the main sections of the forums. You can then start a new thread.
I can't find the blue new discussion button like you have in the tutorial

@lisasc360 You mean 'restricted FROM' - "restricted to" implies that those are the only things new members are allowed to do, NOT what they are excluded from doing.

A list of restrictions as mentioned by EA_Mage located over in this thread.
I am also including a list of restrictions New Members have in the Spoiler below:
Cannot create new discussions/threads
Cannot start new Private Message conversations
Can only post in plain text - no links, images, quotes etc.
Cannot have an avatar
Cannot have a signature
Cannot edit any posts (including your own)
Hi, I post here because I didn't know where to do it.
I am experiencing a problem with read threads; as I may have all threads of a category already read but it still remains white as there was something new. Also, I would like to know if there's a possibility to go to the first non-read message of a thread when opening it, and how to do it.

Hello @megaluci00
Try logging out of the forums site. Clear your browser caches. Shut down your computer completely. Then restart the computer, log into the site and see if the issue remains.
Normally opening a thread should take you to the last unread post straight away. The forums is designed to do that.

Thank you for your help. While the showing the first unread message issue is fixed (the problem was I used to clink on the last page available of the threads), the issue with threads remaining as unread still remains after doing what you told me. Also tried switching my browser but it didn't work.

@rosemow okay so it's not 50pts like in the tutorial anymore. And are comments posts? This thing is confusing, and tech is not my strong suit. Writing, cooking, etc yeah. Tech, not so much.

Hello @LSM36
Try logging out of the site then logging back in again and see if that shows you as a full member
In order to be able to posts pictures and have an avatar, you first need to become a full member because as of right now you are considered a new member. New members are restricted from starting new threads, posting pictures and links, having an avatar or changing one, sending private messages to other members. In order to become a full member, you will need to have 25 points, 15 posts and an account older than 24 hours. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/934205/small-change-for-new-members#latest

A link to Forums Etiquette, Warning/Banning Process and the Forum Rules... http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/categories/forum-rulesFor any New members who want to get their post/point count up, the best thing that I would advise you to do is to find threads that may interest you and join in on them or go to the Off Topic section and join in on some of the word/story games over there. The posts made over in the forum section will go towards your post count whereas the posts made on your wall and the Activity Feed doesn't go towards the total post count. The only thing that you will get if you should make any post over on your wall or Activity Feed will be any Insightfuls, Likes or Awesomes as they will go towards your total points count. Hopefully creating your posts on other threads will also increase your points...
And for anyone who may have any issues with TS3, here's the link for New Members to post their TS3 issues in.
