Have you ever witnessed "your own" death?

I've been playing a sim which is "copy" of myself in TS2, TS3 and TS4. Until yesterday I've never let the sim died because I thought it would be too shocking, and indeed it was.

I played this sim since the beginning of TS4. "We" lived so many funny situations, "we" had lots of adventures, "we" found love, "we" shared great moments together.... Watching he/me passing away was... shocking. I paussed the game and felt strange... Have you ever had this situation?

I want to have a big legacy family in which all members, as they pass away, they'll transform into ghosts and then place them in a big creepy castle in Forgotten Hollow. How can I get the urns, get the ghosts available for placing them into another lot keeping their genealogycal-relation? It will be great to have all died family members in a Lot with their urns in a basement...

I've avoided that situation. While I have made my simself since TS2, I've always stopped playing them at some point. I've made some pets but never people close to me. I guess I don't want to see them die.

On the other hand, seeing generation after generation of sims who come after me might take away the sting.

I have only ever created my Simself starting in Sims3, for my Avatar. My life is quite full and I don't need to speculate on what will be or should be. Also, I very nearly died in RL just eight and half short years ago. Don't need to experience that in my game. It's hard enough when one of my beloved Sims leaves their little pixalated world.

You're never prepared for it, trust me.

I did once, in TS3. I had created my simself, she ended up getting married and had one daughter. This sim also happened to be turned into a vampire during the course of the game play. At the time I had learned enough about vampires that you needed to keep plasma fruit in their personal inventory...you know just in case things go sideways.

Anyways one day I found her out going for a walk, and noticed that her thirst bar was critically low. At the time I was playing a couple of other families as well, so the reason for her needs not being where they should have been. So I clicked on her plasma fruit to have her eat it, but she would NOT stop walking until she got to where she was going. I tried to cancel out this trip, but the game just would not allow it. When she got to her destination, she killed over. I was absolutely floored, and had her daughter go to where her mom's tomb stone was at and took it home.

Eventually she returned as a ghost, but she was the meanest, nastiest ghost that I ever saw. I was hoping that I could have reunited her and the love of her life, but decided to take that hateful little witch to the cemetery instead.
