No Shadows at Ultra

I've been having this problem since tonight, I updated my game and went in and I no longer have any shadows despite the graphics being at Ultra and Laptop Mode being off. Using a 1050 Ti Mobile and verified that its running on my dedicated GPU but there is no shadows.

Not sure if this is of any significance to this issue but my Device log file shows this for my graphics card where it would show information previously it is now mostly blank:

When I started my game it also said that my graphics card was unknown, it did this when I first got this PC but it didn't pose any issues and later recognized my card. The only real change I've made since my last TS4 session is reverting back to my previous driver that didn't give me issues with TS4 previously after I had issues on the next driver with select games having random lagspikes.
(Not sure if this is 100% the right section as I considered to put it in Tech but it is a gameplay issue I am having)

It would be best to uninstall your graphics driver and download /reinstall it again. It sounds like it may not have installed correctly, which is causing issues.

I tried reinstalling the same version, the latest one and another version but unfortunately none of them make shadows work again and the device log is still stuck with little information

It seems to be the only game giving me these issues as all other games work fine with graphics quality and Sims 3 still shows all the information in its lot and still has the shadows.

When you do a DXDiag report on your computer, does your graphics card and drivers show?

I was about to do that but before I refreshed and saw your post I removed a file called d3d9.dll from my Sims 4 directory, I believe I put it there a while ago to use a graphics mod but I did not want to use it but I didn't remove that file. I also removed all of my mods and the device log shows the correct information again, so I will just need to find out if its a mod problem or if I should leave that file out of my game folder.

EDIT: I put my mods back in and the shadows are still there so I believe that file was starting to cause an issue with my game. I figured it out by just seeing if that would work but thanks for the assistance anyways!
