is there a particular place I need to download it from? is it easier to use? or you don't fully need to interact with it to work its magic?

https://deaderpoolmc.tumblr.com/main It is pretty user friendly and he has a ton of documentation to help you figure out what is what. I love this mod, has saved the game for me.

Yes yes yes! It is beyond infuriating when a loved one dies and all the Sims that they're related too don't even know about it, especially when they die on the same lot and everyone is off doing their own individual thing.

As Sims 3 was not perfect neither is Sims 4 and it appears to me EA/Maxis has concentrated more in some areas than others. The AI needs a lot of tweaking being AI is not perfect. Maybe they can fix it and maybe they can't, we will have to wait to find out. However, if there are mods that can address the issue it does not put EA/Maxis in an good light.

I really dislike this as well. I like being able to move out my sims' offspring when they grow up so they can start their own lives and build their own families just like in real life, but it really bothers me that they completely miss out on their parents' deaths and are completely oblivious to it. They'll even run into their parents' ghost and still have no reaction to the fact that they passed away. This makes it almost necessary to keep their parents living in the same household as them if you don't want to miss out on their deaths but I like giving my adult sims their own places to live so they can grow their own families...

The newspaper gave sims a lot of info in S3 about births and deaths and families moving into town. But we don't have a newspaper.

I know, I miss that. I always made sure I had a Sim in my active household read it every day, just to keep abreast of goings on in the neighborhood. In fact, that's mostly what newspapers were for in the 18th-19th centuries. Looking at old newspapers, they weren't structured like they are now. We had to hunt for the obituary, for instance. Found it amid other 'news'. LOL

Hey slightly offtopic but if you have auto aging on for sims you arent currently playing, will they be able to reproduce or will they just perish and be replaced by randomly generated sims?

I think they just die off? Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong... the only time I’ve heard of sims having their own lives is when a person has MCCC - again I could be wrong

Yup, another reason why I really love MCCC. if your not apposed to mods, I say pop that one in. The sims that I don't play get to have children, get married, move out, etc. Makes the game feel more as if it has story progression.

I am so beyond frustrated at the moment.. I had my sim go to invite her mom and dad over like she does every Saturday so they can visit with the kids and I find out that her mom passed away! I couldn’t believe my eyes. The team SERIOUSLY needs to fix this issue. I’m so tired of these so called “smarter sims” not acknowledging the death of loved ones they were close to their entire lives! :disappointed:

My sims keep getting phone calls and texts from deceased relatives. (grandparents or great-grandparents.) I find it creepy and slightly annoying.

This is their family tree. Everyone in the first two generations has passed away and my sims still get phone-calls or texts from them!

I agree. The first time it happened in my game it totally creeped me out. But, then I saw how I could use it. I was blogging my Pinstar's Legacy Challenge game, and this gave me some fodder for the next chapter.

I am also missing a way to notify me when Sims are dying. It is such a small thing and I really don't understand why it isn't there. The family tree can show which Sims have passed away, so why is it so difficult to link that to the message system?

It would actually be a very good idea to reintroduce a newspaper for these kinds of things. What about a digital/online newspaper? It would be a good solution to give Sims the option to check the news on the computer, which would then show us the changes in the neighbourhood.

You'd think at the very least the notification of "someone passing away" would pop up (or whatever it says)- not seen it in a while so sorry if it's wrong, but hopefully you know what I mean?

Let's you see them before they pass etc

The "Sim has died" notification still shows up if MCCC is installed. But I thought we did get a notification regarding a Sim getting near the end of days, unless that got broken in a patch.

I like that idea -- maybe it could be available on the tablet as well as the computer. In Sims 3 if you had the Frugal trait you could find "coupons" in the newspaper for discounts at various venues. Maybe we could get sort of a SimsGroupon where we'd get offers depending on the venues we have? For example if you've got Dine Out maybe Chez Llama offers 10% off the cost of a meal. Or if you have Spa Day you get 20% off massage treatments. Or 20% off food and drinks at the local bar or nightclub.

For a game thats entire marketing strategy is based on developing sims emotions and smarter sims, you would have thought this would have been addressed by now.

They need to have a “till death do us part” pack. I know this is more money making for them but if done right I’d definitely buy it ... we could have a ton of stuff for both weddings and have actual funerals so we are notified amd can plan properly ... our sims need to mourn not just a “oh by the way someone is dead pop up ... or just having them not be there any more” and the correct emotions for these as well

Also, for those who are interested, brittpinkiesims has a funeral mod. I downloaded it and it's amazing! Everyone who attends gets a sad moodlet for 2 days and the host gets a gravestone at the end of the event (which is nice if you want to build a proper cemetery)

The very first Sims 4 family I played had something like this happen. The couple had two kids, one of whom stayed in the family home and raised their own family there (so three-generation household). The day came for the patriarch to die. He died in the kitchen. His daughter-in-law was just sat at the table eating her meal like nothing had happened!! The family did all get the negative moodlet, but it was weird. Not like Sims 3 where a Sim would die on a lot and EVERYONE would rush over... actually, this did happen in one of my games. Sim was running a restaurant, she greeted an elderly couple, went off to see to someone else... oops the old man died and EVERYONE ran over to have a look. Way to ruin the restaurant's atmosphere :D .
