ASOS Fashion Event Thread

Echo006Echo006 Posts: 31 Member
So the ASOS Fashion event is finally here! I’ll be updating this thread daily with tips and tricks to get the most ASOS tokens! If you have any tips you’d like to share, please comment below! Also, if there are any corrections needed, don’t hesitate to let me know!

Getting started
Firstly, to get to the event, see the rewards and activities, press the ASOS logo found in the top right hand corner of the game. Under “Rewards” you will find lots of ASOS Clothing. Under “Activities” you will find all the activities your Sims can do to earn tokens. Also, you will notice you are able to get 20% off ASOS clothing in real life by using a code found right underneath the “Activities” tab. Remember, the event lasts for 13 days, so you have plenty of time to earn all those rewards!

Event Currency
The currency for this event is ASOS tokens. These can be earned by performing normal tasks such as Quick Shifts, Hobby Practice Sessions as well as Socialising with other Sims including toddlers and teens. The amount of ASOS tokens you get from doing these events will vary from 4, 5, 6 or even no tokens. Usually, you will be able to watch an advert and this will grant you a bonus +1 token. I recommend doing this as they will add up, and you need 3000 tokens to unlock everything!

Catwalk This Way Quest
So, the event has a 11 part quest which requires you to complete various events. Each time you will be rewarded with 10 ASOS tokens, 1 Simcash and 23 XP when you complete each part of the questline. Following this is a great way of earning more tokens. Below is each part of the questline in order:
  1. Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show
  2. Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show (Promo Booth)
  3. Complete Fashionably Fun event with a friend
  4. Purchase some ASOS Clothing for your Sims
  5. Complete the ASOS Fashion Designer Challenge Event
  6. Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show
  7. Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show
  8. Buy a piece of ASOS Clothing from the ASOS Prize Store
  9. Complete the next event in the ASOS Fashion Show
  10. Complete the ASOS Marketing Campaign Pitch st the Agency
  11. Earn the Photography Career from the ASOS Prize Store.

Special Events
There are 4 special events you can do in the game to get ASOS tokens. These include:
  • ASOS Promo Booth/Fashion Show Rehearsal This takes place in the Market Square and rewards you with 40 tokens and simoleons. It is a “one-time event” that keeps changing its name depending on the quest. (Every 6 hours)
  • Fashion Design Chalkenge - Takes place at the Fashion Studio and rewards you 10 tokens and simoleons. (Every 8 hours)
  • Marketing Campaign Pitch - Takes place at the Agency and rewards you 10 tokens and simoleons. (Every 8 hours)
  • Fashionably Fun Friends Event - Takes place at home between two sims and rewards you with 10 tokens and Relationship points

The Prize Track and ASOS Clothing
How it works: The prize track will fill as you buy ASOS outfits with your tokens that you have collected. Each outfit costs a different amount of tokens, ranging from 100 tokens to 450. Pick and choose what you like but if you want to get all the rewards (see below), you will need 2200 tokens to unlock the Photography Career and you will need 3000 to unlock the special photography career story (there are 2 stories associated with the Photography Career.) Remember...you will need 3000 tokens to unlock all the outfits and complete the prize track!

Rewards
There are 4 rewards you can earn from buying ASOS Clothing. These are:
  1. 10 Fashion Gems
  2. 1400 Tokens: Cutting Edge Fashion Heirloom (unlocks new Fashion story)
  3. 2200 Tokens: High-End Digital Camera Heirloom (unlocks Photography Career)
  4. 3000 Tokens: Model Photography Heirloom (unlocks another story for the Photography Career)

New Fashion Story
After getting 1400 ASOS Tokens, the ASOS Fashion Forecast Story will unlock at the Fashion Studio. Completing this story will reward you with new clothing and furniture items as you progress through the career story, just like the other stories.

The Photographer Career
-The Photographer Career unlocks once you have spent 2200 tokens on ASOS Clothing. Starting the photography career is easy after you have unlocked the High-End Digital Camera Heirloom. You will need to place the Photo Studio from your inventory inside the Fashion Studio at the Market Place. Just go into the edit mode and you will find it under the Career Section to place. Once you have placed the Photo Studio, you will be able to start the career story, Focused and Fearless.
-Once you spend 3000 tokens on ASOS Clothing, you will unlock a second career story for the Photography Career called ASOS Fashion Focused.

Thank you for reading this thread! It took me a long time to make! If you have any other suggestions to add or any tips and tricks for earning ASOS tokens faster, let me know!

For now, what are your thoughts on the event? :)

I accidentally posted this first on the announcement topic, I don’t know how to delete it there.

Where can I find the ASOS Fashion Forcast Story? I got the charm but can’t find where or how to start the story. The items are in the Fashion shop but I can’t find a way to unlock them. I have level 10 fashion career but can’t find the ASOS Fashion Forcast Story.

    Hi all,
I’m having a hard time with the “Fashionably Fun friends” event that takes place at home. I don’t see any options to start an event!

Little_Gardener18, Socialize with your friends. Invite them over to your house. Click on your friend and see if the Fashionably Fun Friends Event appear on them. If not, invite other friends over. :)

    Hello @Little_Gardener18
When you click on the friend of your sim, there are a few types of social events that you choose from to do. The Fashionably Fun Friends event is the bottom one.

    Hello
I am not sure, but the story may not be an option in the fashion career venue if you currently already have a sim in the normal fashion career. I am not sure, but it may only appear if the venue is not already the workplace to another sim.

    Hello @mermaidvic
    Welcome to the forums! :)
I think that it is a part of an Izzy clothing item. I don’t think that it is a part of this event.

I don't always get the ASOS event coins from work, is it normal?

Yes, I just completed a 2 long shifts and one long hobby practice session. I was rewarded 5 ASOS tokens for the first long shift, 6 tokens for the practice session but nothing for the 2nd long shift. I’m not entirely sure if it’s random but I will keep trying quick shifts and see if I get rewards!

I am getting them about once every 4 work sessions. I have four active sims. I’ve done 8 work/hobby sessions each today. Usually a seemingly random one will get the event coins.

Hmpf! All the work I did last night didn’t score a single point! I left a Sim to work on her own and she didn’t unpack the tables in Market Square. My fashion designer Sim did Catwalk I, no points. Friends event at home scored nothing...Typical EA.

UPDATE: I have accumulated ASOS points. They don’t register in the event ticker, but do appear in your tickets in the tab to the right of the screen.

Have you unpacked them yet? I found out you are supposed to do risky actions and get career objects from it (the same as what happens in the culinary career) then you use those career objects to unpack.

I think the even ticker points are accumulated when you buy all the items of clothing.

I bought the ASOS Western Jacket and the ASOS checkered pants. The pants showed up within the Pants section, but the jacket didn’t show up in the Tops section? Is there a bug with the jacket?

Some clothes appear only in the masculine CAS and others in the feminine.
    Look there

And never mind. I just saw it on a female in the ASOS picture at the top. LOL, it is definitely female clothing.

Are all of the clothing items gender restricted? Because I was hoping to get that green bomber jacket for my girl sim, don't really care about the other stuff.

Unfortunately yes. Most of the items are for girls but the bomber jacket is for boys.
