The office build looks very nice! :) Very nice exterior design of the office building, and the exterior walls texture gives a very nice look to the build. The water fountain and flowers feature in the front area of the build looks very nice and very effective how it has been designed ! Very nice layout of the interior. It looks great how the office areas are set up in the building. The Asian themed furnishing of the lobby is very nice for sims to see as they enter the building. The floor patterning looks great. Very nice conference room! It looks great the way the tables are set up in a U shape, with a podium there for a speaker to address the meeting. Very nice blue and white colour scheme of the rooms and areas through the building. Very nice furnishing of the private office suite areas! It is nice there are armchairs in front of the office desk, for sims to discuss business matters with clients whilst sitting at the office desk. The bar and sitting room area is very nice! Sims will enjoy sitting relaxing on the sofa and armchairs watching tv and having a drink from the bar.
It is a very nice office build ! :)

The Laundrymat looks great! :) Very nice flower beds areas in the front and side areas of the build. The bubbles themed windows suit the type of venue well! It looks very nice how the interior of the laundrymat has been set up. It looks great how the washers and dryers have been placed in the room, with seating nearby for sims to sit, read a book and relax whilst waiting for the clothes to finish being washed and dried. The laundry detergent bottles and powders look great on the shelves! Sims will enjoy playing the table arcade games, and getting drinks and snacks to eat from the vending machine and gum machine whilst waiting there. The blue and white chequered flooring is a nice touch . It is great that there is a Tailor shop next doors. The mannequins look great there. Sims will enjoy having a makeover with the salon item. The clothes racks and laundry /clothing themed wall shelves in both areas of the build look great!
It is a great Laundrymat and Tailors venue :)

Your hippies are great!!! And, great landscaping for that pond as well! I love the way you did those roofs. A lot of great ideas here! I wish I'd thought of rain collection!
  • rosemowrosemow Posts: 163,571 Member
The hippies and the Commune are great! :) You have put so much time and work into designing the commune and the various areas of it! Each area suits the theme so very well! The colourful and patterned clothing that the hippies are wearing looks great! The traits that you have chosen for them reflect well that they are hippies. The colours and patterns also used for the walls of the rooms and for the outside of the cabins looks very nice! Very nice layout of the build. It is a very colourfully nice, well designed and very creative hippies commune! :)
  • romagi1romagi1 Posts: 6,988 Member
Very bright and colorful! Love how you used the drain pipes! Going to have to steal that idea! The composting toilets and the tent awnings for the roof on the cabins are awesome ideas! Well thought out commune!

I LOVE your shower tent!! And your composting toilets! And you even added sculpting and glass blowing, I had never even considered additional skill items *doh*! That elaborate roof on the pavilion is astounding!

Build n Share #205 - Back to Basics No CC No CAP Base game only

    42058892310_b4cd1041e0_c.jpg

This house holds a very dear spot in my heart as the first house bought by me and my husband.

The style is American Four Square and ours was built in 1910. The interior of the foursquare is just that, square. Ours had a bay window in the dining room that broke up the boxiness.

Common elements for four squares that were also present in our house were a large front porch across the front of the house, craftsman like woodwork (luckily ours was never painted), built in cabinetry (we had a china hutch and butler's pantry) and a hipped roof with 3 or 4 dormers.

The lower level had massive pocket doors that closed off the living room from the foyer and dining room. The front, back and upstairs doors had transoms, that way you could close the doors open the transoms and have excellent air flow.

We also thought it was possible that the house was a Sears House because we found numbers on a lot of the wood in the attic and the window sills and sashes had small brass numbered buttons on them. This was never confirmed but it was fun to think about

There were no garages because once the original one fell down the city would not allow you to build a new one.

First floor shows the boxy style of the American Four Square. Foyer, living room, dining room and kitchen with a back door to a small covered porch.

    28931211037_2bc795cdd9_c.jpg

There was a huge old maple tree in the back where there lived the biggest spider I have ever seen, ick. :#

    42058904620_ed7df9ef7f_c.jpg

Upstairs there are three bedrooms and two full baths. Our house only had the one bathroom with a claw foot tub and a rinky 🐸🐸🐸🐸 shower but it was charming. :)
I had to switch the floor plan here to accommodate the second bath.

Your First House build is very special! <3 It was very nice reading what you wrote about your husband and your’s first home, You have have reflected the original home very well! Very nice exterior of the home! The roofing with the four sides of dormers looks very nice! I would not have liked having a big spider in the maple tree! Very nice backyard area for sims to enjoy cooking on the bbq and eating food outdoors in the air at the picnic table. Sims will enjoy swinging on the swing. Very nice corner vegie patch for sims to enjoy growing and harvesting plants. Very nice furnishing of the interior! The wall paneling /patterning in the rooms looks very nice. It is a special touch that you placed the home picture on the wall of the upper landing area. Very nice colour schemes of the bedrooms. The dining room looks a very nice place for sims to enjoy eating their meals with sunlight coming in through the pretty patterned curtain windows. The plants and flowers add a very nice look to the rooms through the home.
It would be a very special build that you created, as it brings back memories of happy times spent in that home <3

BUILD-N-SHARE CHALLENGE #206 We Need Some Space

    The Challenge Brief

    §500k budget

Design a Mars Habitation for a 6-Sim team of astronauts and scientists.

Habitation must be fully self-contained (there is no atmosphere!)

Must include areas or objects for sleeping, hygiene, fitness, cooking, recreation, plants, and research.

Built on a 30x30 or smaller lot. No more than 1 level below ground (including foundation basements) and no more than two levels above ground. (for a maximum of 3 total floors)

This is a prototype build, so ‘landscape’ doesn’t matter, but it should be isolated from other structures.

    Mission: Mars

    Walk around views

    44777519942_a062b85694_c.jpg
    Birds-eye views

The facility is built on three levels

Level one has the garage (transportation center, two decontamination chambers that each lead to the research labs, one lab is for science studies and the other is Research/Robitics. The labs are on either sided of the main hall that has two all-in-ones and both lifts and stairs to the living areas on the second level.

Level 2 is the living area for the astronauts. The main hall leads to the kitchen/dining area, two full baths, the lounge and two dorms, each with baths.

    44107042914_e0fb93500a_c.jpg

Level 3 contains the greenhouse for Botanical studies and a gym complete with music.

Your Mars Habitation build is very creatively great! :) You have designed each level and area of the build so very well! It was great going on a tour of the build with you, and looking at the pictures of each area and reading what you wrote about each area. You have very creatively designed each aspect of the build, and the type of funishings used capture the challenge theme so very well! :)

I really love what you did with the bubble tubes!!! The decon station is a great idea too! I love the overall shape and that entry on either side of the garage door that way! I also love the glass on top and the way you did the roof with all those different glass roof pieces.
