@fabtiffsim love the new challenge and hope to see many, many entries; unfortunately it's such a big task now and I want to finish my Venice build first...
thanks @kilra0 & @Ainsleyf
Love the shape of those huts @fabtiffsim They're such a cool design. I could imagine them being in an expensive glamping site. I really like the split level layout & landscaping. and the tanning frame is perfect!
amazing Olympus @phantasmkiss It must have taken ages, there's so much attention to detail. The Elysian fields are gorgeous. It really is a beautiful lot, well done!
Anyway I'm off back to my underground city. I have the exterior & inside layout done but absolutely no décor and now its making me tired! maybe it'll be a deserted city...

No problemo. We look forward to seeing whatever you want to share!

Well shucks! Thanks pal!
The city build is gonna be a big one... I hate splitting up my builds and starting one day and finishing another... I hate to leave it haha but the big ones, you just hafta!
Insane WIP shot. I'm really hoping to not run out of ideas before I get this one done!!! I found Agartha and, of course, hated it, but liked some ideas, so I'm building from scratch.
Folala - a deserted city actually sounds awesome!!!
Question: Would it be gauche to put a giant air-conditioning unit above this?? (It's supposed to be lava in case that's not obvious enough)
@Ainsleyf Looks so good, what is that kinda diamond shape thing you have used to create that awesome natural shape in the flowing blood? (EDIT: Lol whoops Lava!) I like how you have overlapped the Windows on the right too

I thought it was lava IMMEDIATELY. So its obvs enough!
But yah. hahah it would be gauche to put a giant air-conditioning unit above it
If anyone likes to look at cool builds like I do, Bns is doing a fairy tale cottage challenge, and I think there's some beautiful stuff there! It's almost relevant to what we're doing here! Build-n-share
@Ainsleyf That is definitely some bloody lava, but what is it made of? Is it CC, or is it from a pack I don't have? The floor could be floor, but I have no idea about the drippy parts, which are the best.
Thanks, @phantasmkiss - it's a wall covering and floor tile called "The glow that flows" from the spa day pack. I'm trying to make it more orange to get rid of the 'bloody' look, but the game keeps adding a floor and messing me up. It's not so easy building underground! AND @fabtiffsim - okay, no AC unit, but that means it'll get really hot down there!
I am having far too much fun looking for cool cc. I may never finish this build because I've spent too much time looking for cool cc. I will post photos and help people find the stuff it they want to download it themselves. There is so much groovy stuff out there. Maxis should really make more plates of food as decorative items.

Back story: (Tell us what is up! More equals more here!) Scrambling through some caves, a group of adventurous teens discovered an underground city mostly destroyed by the blast of a volcano, and hidden for centuries under layers of ash. Although still very much connected to the active volcano, it has since been renovated and used as a Bikram yoga retreat, as a rehab center for people with bad circulation, and as hell, sometimes all at once. It will soon be featured in the new Richard SIMmons video, "REALLY Sweating with the Oldies."
EDIT: My orignal idea was for a culture in the center of the Earth, maybe a fiery race of beings, like the salamanders from the ancient alchemical tomes. I just figured my buildings were too human looking to pull that off!

Your underground city looks so very creatively great! @Ainsleyf You have designed it so very well! The orange lava looks so very effective! The sixam plants suits the type of build so well and look great in the build! The cc items that you have used look great in the build! The large coloured jewels rocks on the dining area walls gives a great look to the area!
It is a very creatively designed underground city build!
wow, @Ainsleyf That's amazing! so creative & great backstory. I love all the cool CC as well.
Hopefully with the impending game pack there will be more to fit in with the prehistory theme, fingers crossed. It looks promising.

Back story: I was a bit boring and based mine on real underground cities like in Cappadocia, Turkey. So its a city inside a mountain with a little bit of it on the outside kind of cut into the mountain. Unfortunately I made it way too big and ran out of steam towards the end so its not finished but I've already put so much work into it so I'm being cheeky and showing it off anyway!

Your city build is so very creatively designed and built! @folala It is a very detailed build! It looks great! The design and layout of both the outdoors and interior areas looks so very great! You would have put so much time and work into doing this build! The sheep, pigs and rabbits look great in the build! The many rooms in the build look great, and the furnishing of them looks very nice to suit the theme.
It is a very nice underground city!
Wow, @Folala - that looks so cool! Those beehive stones are awesome and I just got such a huge kick out of your bucket o' piranhas! Really like the layering of the rocks too, and the sheep. How cool are those sheep??
Thanks for the kind words and I am crossing my fingers with ya!
