Your WIP that you were working on looks very creatively great! @Ainsleyf I am sorry that the ideas that you had didn’t work out as you planned them to be.
Awww..thanks @Haids5987 - that's so nice of you to say. Personally, I think it lacks the organic looking flow I was going for. I could, in theory, move it out of Granite Falls and finish it. Been super busy with calendar year end at work. Maybe I'll find some time to try to finish it!
Thanks so much @rosemow@Haids5987@Ainsleyf And thanks @fabtiffsim - I love the banner! Don't think I've ever done anything wheel-inventing good before
I cant wait to see you're finished spa Ainsley, I think it looks fantastic already. It is frustrating when things don't look how you imagine in your head though. It would be easier to make rocky things look more natural if we had stones with moss or ivy on them or something like that - hint, hint Maxis

Outside:
The outside of their village features a pond used for bathing, fishing, and passing free time. There is a plot made for farming and they are surrounded by the forest which will come in handy for hunting and gathering. In the center of their village they have created a nice fire to keep warm as well as cook their large animals they capture and a smaller fireplace for cooking smaller animals. They have also hand carved seating from trees around their area.
Inside:
Inside their homes they have hand carved all the seating and beds. They have begun making pottery as a pass time and display bowls in their home by using them to hold fruits and berries they have gathered. The dried herbs and spices they have each collected will help them make their food more flavorful and will help them with simple medicine. They have each created towels and pillows made out of animal fur and learned how to display their favorite flowers on the walls of their homes.
Forestmen Village is a very creatively designed village ! @JosieAnglin The layout of the build and the design of each of the areas of the village looks very great! The hut are very nice! The conical roofing looks great, and it is nice that the interior furniture is made of wood. The dried herbs and spices on the walls will be great to use in cooking and for medicine . Very nice campfire area for sims to enjoy sitting on the log seats around the fire keeping warm and cooking food. It is a great idea to have two fires, to cook the different types of animals. The community gardening patch is great! Sims will enjoy growing and harvesting plants in the gardening boxes there. Sims will enjoy swimming in the pool. The flowers are pretty on the edges of the water.
It is very nice Village build!
Here we go, my first entry to this awesome challenge

The design and layout of Historic Village looks great! @kilra0 Very nice designing of each area of the Village ! The sheep in the stables are very cute! It is great that there is a pond lake in the middle of the village for the sims to enjoy fishing in. They will enjoy sitting around the campfire toasting food and keeping warm. Very nice nook areas for the sims to have fun playing horseshoes, and attend the outdoors Theatre. The exterior design of the huts looks very great! It looks great the way the branches wall divider item is used for the walls! It is a nice that there is an outdoors bath tub, and the flowers look very pretty around it. The outdoors laundry area with the clothesline and washtub looks great! Sims will enjoy growing and harvesting plants near their hut.It is very nice that there is an underground sauna area. Back story: In the dawn of time a group of early humans lived in Oasis Springs. They originally lived in the caves but the smell was very cavey so they began to live in little huts made of sticks and grass. They fished in the pond and began domesticating the wild Llamas. Then one of the villagers thought they could make a stronger house for their family out of stones and mud. All the villagers laughed - why would they live in a house made of stone. It would probably smell really cavey. So they carried on living in their lovely airy stick huts. Then one night a huge Smilodon stalked the village. He huffed, and he puffed and he .... knocked down the huts really easily and ate all the villagers. Except the ones in the stone & mud hut.

Your Caveman Village looks very great! @folala You are so very creative in your background story details! It was fun to read it! It looks very nice how you have created the huts! The sticks and the grassy roofing looks great! It is nice that there is a firepit in the huts to cook meals on and to keep warm. The little and bigger llamas look nice together. Very mud and stone hut! The dome roofing looks great! It is great that there are community areas where the sims can gather together around the fire or enjoy fishing in the pond. The cave looks great! It is a great touch that there are cave paintings on the walls.
The design of the village is very creatively done! It is great that it reflects the different housing that is in your background story.
Aww thanks @rosemow you're so kind! I did have fun trying to come up with the story although the background story is usually the bit I find the hardest.
Back story:
The natives in a small island in North America used the gifts of the Earth to create their village, living only off of their crops and the fish they catch in the pond. Their civilization was created off the ground and above Her lush terrain; these people feel safer in houses in the trees than on the vulnerable ground.
Eventually the worship of Mother Earth expanded into the worship of the Goddess, and the people of the island revere Her as their Creator and the Giver of all things—and the Destroyer when She is feeling wrathful. To honor Her, the natives build a sculpture of Her and erected it beside Mother Tree, an ancient old oak rumored to have mystical properties…
Since this is such a primitive challenge this week, I decided that "less is more" on this build. Thus, not only is it my cheapest build to date, but also my least-decorated build.
Your prehistoric village looks great! @Haids5987 It is great that the homes are built off the ground. The stairs look great how they are placed, leading to the entrance to the homes. It is a nice touch that the pennants reflect who lives in the homes or that it is a communal hall meeting place. It is nice that a gardener lives in the village and grows plants in the garden boxes to share with fellow villagers. The Mother Tree and Goddess statue creatively have been placed there to reflect the beliefs of the village. The villagers will enjoy fishing in the pond. The carpenter will enjoy doing his crafting on the workbench table in his home. The wooden meeting table and chairs are great in the meeting hall! The candles are nice as the form of lighting. The villagers will like sitting at the table discussing village matters, or enjoy reading books there. The firepit will keep the room warm,
It is a very nice designed prehistoric village!
