I think new content has been added quite quickly to be fair. It's had two game packs, what four stuff packs and EP and the game only dropped in November.

I bought it for my niece and with all the content it's laggy and slow. Not sure the console should get all content if that's the way it be. Can't blame system specifications or mods or cc. Think it's safe to say it's just a really poor port.

EA likes to push product as fast as possible without any real testing. They also love to milk DLC for max profit. Which is why us console games will be waiting at least a year before we are caught up to PC. Instead of releasing it all at once or better yet, releasing it all on disk. They'll release it in pieces.

Yeah sadly I don't think we'll get all the content anytime soon. If they were in a hurry to release it, we would have gotten more than a game pack and a few stuff packs by now :/

We've gotten quite a few packs already and it's only been out for 2 months. But there's always more coming out for pc and it sucks that they can't release them on the pc and console at the same time.

Cats and Dogs will probably be coming this Winter or Spring. They've said their working to get it to the consoles and that was in December.

I wouldn't be expecting anything until it's confirmed by the Gurus. Dine out hasn't been too bad on the pc until my niece played it a few days ago, her sim waited 6 hours for her meal and it never showed so in the end she gave up. I remember it being that bad but I think a patch fixed it or tweaked it but it seems as bad as ever now.

I have the same issue, I never bother to take my sims out to eat because everytime I'm stuck there waiting to be served for hours upon hours :/

My only issue was everyone getting up to chat. They should fix that asap.

And this was my first time running a restaurant and I have to say I'm kinda disappointed. Like the only thing I can do is schmooze customers and pick up dirty dishes. Really wish they would have at least let us wait on tables.

Also I can't figure out what tables are meant to go with booths because they aren't registering as dining spots.

sorry you are hasving issues to with sims getting up to chat.

they need to fix all bugs asap.

    The worse are

12 hours to wait for a meal
    standing to chat

chef and servers standing around and chatting but not working.

they should at least allows us to chef/serve

I don't get why they can't patch it in :(

I found a bug on the PS4 version playing tonight. The middle booth at Chez Whatever it's called won't let your sim pick it. It says it's already been picked but no one shows up. This is happening on multiple saves. I did find a work around though. Delete the middle booth and just replace it. That lets your sim order.

I took Vladislaus Straud to Villa Bovine (restaurant) and he got stuck there, without being able to return home. I got a message saying he couldn't do that because of a vampire breaking in! Kind of weird, because I was the vampire.

Then I searched online for a solution and found out this is a common bug for PC users. The solution was to look for the other vampire on the lot that was causing this problem, and I put them to sleep with my vampire powers. Then I could finally go home. :o

I had this issue tonight the vampire thing.

That's one issue I'm not having yet knock on wood. My sims got their meal in a reasonable amount of time.

Another bug I saw was that the chez restaurant wasn't available when asking on a date.

It also takes hours for sims to eat just a single plate of food, even longer it you want drinks and deserts.

I never choose more than a drink and an appetizer. Not enough time to eat a full course meal. Never had to wait ages for food to arrive, but still it takes quite a bit of time to eat something while having a conversation. On the positive side, I don't have to spend as much as I could.

This isn't a bug problem but I thought it would be funny to share. But, I had a vampire hired as a waitress and she kept biting my customers making them pass out/ unable to pay or order food!!
So I fired her and now she keeps coming back as a customer orders food (that she never eats) then sings very obnoxiously.

It does not matter to me. it still takes hours to get your meal and about 3/4 hours to finish eating, more like I said if you order more foods.
You are it seems bug free on this, its not the case for a lot of us. Happy you don't have this issue.

I got to the diner at 9am left at 11pm

Just to eat a meal and a drink :(

Not Had that issue but vampires do constantly bite other customers and attempt to bite my sims.

I don't play running the restaurant because I don't see the point if you can't chef or host or serve.

Yeah I definitely hate the fact that we cannot even serve/host/cook, especially when half the time my servers just stand there doing nothing when theres customers.
I actually ended up selling one of my bigger restaurants because half the time customers would order food, then go strolling around waiting for their food twhen its sitting there on the table. But, they still stand around getting angry that the food is taking long...

To be fair apart from no CC/ mods or the gallery not being included, this seems like the best effort they have ever done on a console. I mean it as everything in apart from those
    three.

It could be a perfect port if they can address those three issues.

And agree we have had a lot of dlc since November.

    Tho I do want more.

Dine out needs a fix to :(

It could really be improved if they fix the bugs. But as the pc suffers from the very same bugs, I think it could be a while.

But that stops everyone from actually sending their sims to eat when like @marcel21 said its riddled with bugs. Seriously by the time your sims get fed they probably would be on the verge of starving to death.

I hope not. I have given up on taking my sims out to eat. I have to of owning a lot.
    its just too buggy.

The only enjoyment i have had from this whole pack is using the content and trying to cook the new recipies.

Untill it fixed i have removed every venue from my game that came with dine out. as its buggy in every one of them.

I mean going for breakfast and leaving at 11pm due to waiting times :(

    Agree.
It's horrible and really spoils the pack with these waiting time bugs as well as the rest :#

So glad i avoided the console version. Not paying twice for the same sub par broken content. The series will just get worse too because the masses will swallow anything and ask for more
My speculations on hints for future content:
    -Cars Update
    -Spiral/Diagonal Stairs Update
    -Hotel Pack
-Romance Pack (possibly combined with Hotel Pack)
    -Bands Pack
    -Royalty Pack
    -Fashion Design Pack
    -Fairies Pack
    -Werewolf Pack
    -France-inspired World

I actually like the console version but hopefully I won't be getting vampire notices on the console version they are breaking in on a community lot like now.

    true

but not everybody likes those packs released. it will be another waiting game for those simmers weaiting for the packs they love.

makes you wonder if the reason they won't bring out packs at the same time as PC is incase it effects the PC sales.
