Your boathouses themed WIP build looks very nice! @kilra0 It is a great creative idea for a build! Very nice layout of the build to have the row of houses over the water.
Your plan to make apartments on the first floor sounds great! It could also be used as a community lot. I will look forward to seeing what you decide to do
@rosemow & @BlueShreve thank you for the feedback @5782341b77vl how cool is your station / restaurant! Is it possible to do the train tracks a bit darker?
well your park is yet a bit empty, but I like the archgate. I would suggest to add some bushes and trees, but landscaping depends on which type you want to create. Maybe a playground or a picnic park, water games, science park, fitness parcours... there are countless possibilities. Once I did a harbour related park called Dockside with only 1 tree. I do not have any ideas for a theme park right now, except a movie park... @Bonxie awesome looking lab! @BlueShreve I had to laugh out loud when I saw your build! Great work! @ParadoxSims it really looks like a school building
Been working on an African Safari Lodge for the QC Competitions to build your dream vacation destination. I've always wanted to go on an African safari but hate camping, so I wanted to stay in a nice comfy lodge while doing it. I'm wondering if it's too lush and tropical to look like Africa. Any feedback would be great!
@lsnishi hm... it doesn't really remind me of an African Safari, personally I think it's a bit too white. When I think of white houses in Africa I think of the north. What about earthy tones or bouncing colours like yellow red or even a blue tone? The green is fine and I like the style of the houses and terraces
Your African Safari Lodge WIP is looking very great! @lsnishi Very nice design of the exterior of the Lodge and the outdoors areas! The curtained gazebo type patio area looks so very nice! The water around the edges of the gazebo patio and the flowers on the edges of the water looks very pretty! Very nice water fountain pond! The wraparound porch looks very nice.
I think that it suits well being an African Lodge. It looks like a special Lodge where sims can enjoy staying when going on a African Safari, and it doesn’t look too tropical or lush for the African landscape. It is an oasis for Sims to enjoy staying at when going on a safari.
Thank you @rosemow and @kilra0 for the comments! I'll try a light yellow or beige exterior to see if that helps the vibe @kilra0. Appreciate the feedback!
This is my current WIP it's a house for a family I have living in Brindleton bay right now it's in a save I have just for building. I love the progress i've made with it but I feel like the back is too flat and thinking of maybe pulling the wall out to meet the back porch but I'm not totally sold on the idea cause I think the yard space would suffer if I did...Any suggestions?
Your WIP for your family in Brindleton Bay is looking very nice! @cmbaker16 Very nice design of the roofing on the home! The roof covered front and back porches look very nice. The dormers look great in the build. The hedging looks very nice bordering the home. I hope that your work on the home continues to go well
Hello there. i'm making a new house. this time in oasen Springs for a change. i havent build here a lot.
Please let me know what you think. Tip or ideas are Always welcome .
The exterior design of your new WIP home is very nice! @Soraya4sims It suits Oasis Springs very well! The design of the rooting is very nice and the pegs look great on it. It looks nice the way that the front of the build has the stone fencing. Very nice layout of the interior.
It is looking great!
It's been probably forever since I actually worked on another build project. Since I do have a bit of free time here and there, so I thought it would be fun to work on something to pass the time. I got inspired by a Japanese House I saw on TV so I made my own version of it. Did my best to make it look authentic Japanese but there isn't a lot of Asian style build items to work with. It's still in its early stages and I hope to finish it sometime this month or beginning of next month. It really depends on my midterms >.<
Your Japanese style WIP is looking great! @Heaveness Very nice layout of the build! The water fountain feature looks very nice.
I hope that your continued work on the build goes well.
thank you @rosemow I hope to finish it soon too~! I am about 3/4 done and this will be my last WIP picture I am showing. The next time I will be showing on the appropriate forum for the finished build I just need to finish up the front area, fine tuning any areas, and play testing it~!
Each of your WIPS are looking very nice ! @gmcrozier It is a great variety of different types and styles of homes. I hope that your continued work on them goes very well!
It has literally been forever @cmbaker16 I don't know if you're still working on the Brindleton Bay build, if you've finished, or just moved on. I really like it, especially the front of the house, and the way you've left a big backyard. I see what your talking about for the back of the house and I agree that pulling the wall out to meet the porch would cause the yard to suffer. So why don't you expand upwards or with the second floor somehow. You could give one of the dormers a gable roof (it would look nice above the porch) or you could build a mini tower, or you could make the porch 2 stories (I love the roof you have on the porch, so if you do this, Id recommend you try to keep it) I would like to hear how things have turned out for you
@Soraya4sims Southwestern / desert style homes are not my forte, but what you've got going looks pretty cool so far. How has it turned out?
@Heaveness I've seen pictures of your finished build. Awesome
@gmcrozier You have so many wonderful looking WIP's
I am currently working on an American Gothic Revival home that I love and I would like to share it, but after I finished, I decided to playtest with a vampire and realized it could use a coffin. I had really wanted to keep the price as low as possible. So I stripped down the decor and added a dank dark shed with a bare vampire cellar. I like the idea of the new cellar, but I'm not sure if it was worth stripping down the decor. The cellar looks pretty bleak (I could always just add tons of wall cracks and stuff to help out)
I have 3 options:
1: Use the original - if its not broke don't fix it.
2. Use the second version - its a bit more expensive, but has an extra place to sleep, so it can hold a bigger family.
3. Use the second, but go over budget and add enough decor items to make it look liveable.
What do you guys think? Constructive Criticism Wanted!!
