Actions disappearing? Can't get anything done.

For the past few (real life) days, whenever I select any action for my sims, they usually stand there for at least 30 minutes doing nothing, and then most of the time the action will just disappear. This is making it extremely difficult to get them ready in the morning, take care of toddlers, and when at the scientist career it's impossible for me to complete the actions for the day. I can't get it done because half the time they're just standing there doing nothing and then the action disappears.
It's getting extremely frustrating and I'm unsure of how to fix this problem. I don't use any mods, and my cache files only had one thing in them which I've cleared. I've also updated everything and repaired the game through origin.
What else can I do to fix this? Thank you in advance!

I am sorry that you are having this issue.
Try resetting your sims 4 folder, starting a new save game file, and testing to see if it occurs there also . To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated.
Start a new game and test to see if the issue is in that new save game.
Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or "options" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.
Then test with your current game again,
