Mid Nowhere is a very pretty Tuder style starter! Chealsycat Very nice design of the exterior and roofing! I have posted about the home on your showcase thread.
The largest Sims4 lot I've built is my "Motor Inn" (50X40) lot in Newcrest. I tend to leave the bigger builds to more experienced builders, and I stick with the 40x30 and (most common) 30x20 lots.
Not saying that I never made a large lot before -
Back in Sims3, I had 2 massive 64x64 lots. One was a theme park (Libertyland), and the other one was an asylum (Happy Meadows). I've not tried to make a 64x64 lot in Sims4... yet...
I've decided to TRY (notice the word "try") and re-create my Happy Meadows Asylum for my Sims4 game. The problem is that I don't know things like the maximum number of floors (above ground) you can build up (my tallest build was my "Broken Arms Apt." with four floors). I just want to know if my original design will work or not.
HAPPY MEADOWS (Sims3)
Front
Rear
The 5th floor was only the bell tower and just for looks, but I'd like to know if I'm going to need to lose the tower -
Bell tower
I figured that Libertyland was undo-able, since we don't have any theme park packs. So I thought I'd try rebuilding an asylum like my Happy Meadows. Maybe put it in Brindleton Bay, where patients can look out at the ocean.
It is great that you are planning to make a Sims 4 version of Happy Meadows! @5782341b77vl The maximum number of floors above ground in Sims 4 is four levels, and you can have two basement levels.
Your Sims 3 design should work in Sims 4 also. I will look forward to seeing your build!
Or, I had a different design building that I had planned prior to the (pictured) design, which only had four floors. It had kinda a bracket key ( [ )design to it, though it never left the paper stage and into my game.
The one that's in the pictures is based on the Waverly Hills Sanitorium in Louisville, Kentucky (had to remove one of the floors to put in the bell tower though).
Sorry I've been MIA everyone, its been a rough Holiday the whole family has been sick! Beautiful creations everyone, I love coming here and seeing the amazing talent you all share with us! Hugs and have a wonderful New Year!
Hello Bree
I am sorry to hear that your family has been sick over this Christmastime It is not very nice for you all. I hope that you all feel a little bit more better as each day passes. I send hugs to you
So I just finished a few rooms in something that I'm considering to make a room series of sorts: the Soft Skies rooms. The living room got basically the most downloads of my entire Gallery (15 probably isn't much for some, but it definitely is to me), so I decided to do more of them.
I haven't really hashtagged them yet, but if you want to download them: My originID Is MelanieScribbles, they should be the first items on the list under the 'newest' sort.
These are the Soft Skies Nursery:
The Soft Skies Toddler Room:
The Soft Skies Kid's Room:
And the Soft Skies Teen Room:
A little word of warning: they lean heavily on the packs used, it's usually key items in the room like a bed or something. That being said, I do hope you enjoy them. Happy Simming everyone.
The Soft Skies series of bedrooms look so very calming and warming! @MelanieScribbles They are very pretty and nice ! Very nice blue colour scheme of the rooms. The rooms would look very nice together in the one home. They complement each other so very well! It is very nice the type of patterned curtains that you have used. The animal themed armchairs are cute for the kids to enjoy sitting on and reading a book. Nice study desk table area in the teen room for teens to do their homework at the desk. The patterned floor rugs add a nice look to the rooms.
The rooms are very nice!
"Live in a DollHouse" is a build inspired by the ingame dollhouses. Built on a 50x40 lot in NewCrest the build is made to look like life-sized dollhouses. There are some toys used as decorations that have been enlarged to give the appearance that your sims are living dolls. You can dress them in the fullbody costumes to really make them look like dolls. Easily delete the houses you don't want or play with them all. The basement has some extra over sized toys from buydebug that you can use or delete.
I will repost here what I wrote on your showcase thread, BlueShreve. Live in a Dollhouse is a very creatively designed build! The homes reflect the dollhouses that are in the game so very well! The look just like them! Very nice layout of the build. The enlarged toys give a great look and feel to the build! It is great that you have created a build where sims can feel like they are dolls living in dollhouses. Very nice furnishing of each dollhouse! It is nice that there is a firepit area for sims to enjoy sitting on the log themed seats toasting food and keeping warm. They will enjoy using the Observatory that is on the top of the science themed furnished dollhouse.
It is a very creatively nice build!
Basegame Suburban is a very nice first build for the year! NickSims Very nice design of the exterior , and the furnishing of the interior is very nice! It is great that it is base game so all simmers can download it. I have posted about your build on your showcase thread .
Okay, I couldn't think of a better name for this cozy Victorian inspired cottage! It has a generous master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and is cat friendly with a large side yard for pet training. #pool #chess #guitar #easel #grill #cat #catcondo #vegetablegarden #fireplace #computer #birdfeeder #moo #playtested
@StSciurus -- you are seriously one of my TS4 building idols. I love the name, made me spit some coffee on my keyboard. I think one of the things I like best about your builds is that they could be real houses. Very clever work. I will be faving and DLing as soon as I get some time to get in game.
@NickSims that build is simply amazing. I love the exterior color tones used as well as the separation from the entrance of the home and driveway path. The backyard is so beautiful as well and I LOVE the entrance when you first enter the home with the living room and the staircase right when you enter.
Each of the three homes are very nice! @LadyLana1 The exterior wall texture and the type and placement of the windows in Samantha’s Little Home give a great look to the build. Very nice layout of the interior. Nice sofa seat sitting nook for sims to enjoy resting there watching tv. The planter boxes are nice touches on the wall areas.
Very nice Dutch style Villa! The exterior design of Museumlane 8 looks very nice! The rock lined flower bed at the front of the home and the plants lining the edges of the lot look very nice! Very nice design of the kitchen! The wall and floor texture give a very nice look and feel to the room.
Very nice exterior design of Lonely Wolf Shack also! The roofing looks great, and very nice flowers and plants areas on the edges of the home. It looks very nice the way you have taken the photos of the interior through the archways.
The builds are very nice for sims to enjoy living in!
I have created Cupids Garden, more of a romance, Valentines theme where Sims can get married, have parties and unwind with a drink battling out with King of the Dance.

Hmm, Happy Meadows might need a "face lift"...

@suepea , you made my day! You are very kind!
The first is a rather small home, seemingly old and dirty from the outside, but quite modern from the inside. It's called Samantha's Little Home
The second is a villa after Dutch design for a small family. It's called Museumlane 8
And I'm totally in love with it's kitchen!
Then last but not least I built a small mountain shack called Lonely Wolf Shack. It fits a lone dog and his man!
