I know we already got Parenthood, but that pack was about PARENTING. I want a generations pack (EP, probably) that would add new ACTIVITES for ALL ages. Also, keep in mind I am not listing new CAS or BB ideas, just gameplay
Toddlers
-Money;
-Learning about coins
-Learning about dollar bills
-Asking for money
-Piggy banks
-Lemonade, cookie, jewelry, or drawing stands with the help of a parent or older sim
-Creating signs for stands that can be put on stand, or around the neighborhood to gain awareness
-Setting prices for stands
-Helping with garage sales (In YA/Adult/Elder section)
-Stands around town, with different signs, prices, and qualities, and begging parents or older sims to buy stuff from stands for them, even if it is not worth it
-Asking to spend money on X (toys, movies (MHS), outfits, etc.)
-More toys (princess dolls, sim dolls, trucks, cars, smaller teddy bears, small and large house playsets, Lincoln Logs, Legos, and being able to step on them, which triggers bad moodlets, etc.)
-Dressup (princess, pirate, dinosaur, movie star, animals, robot, ghost, etc.)
-Asking older siblings to play with them, and chance of being rejected, resulting in bad moodlets
-Colorful baby playground equipment (baby swings, tiny slides, etc.)
-Baby board games that bore older sims
-Family reunions
-Family game night
Children
-Money;
-Wallets
-Piggy banks
-Asking for money
-Lemonade, cookie, jewelry, or drawing stands without the help of another sim
-Creating signs for stands that can be put on stand, or around the neighborhood to gain awareness
-Setting prices for stands
-Helping with garage sales (In YA/Adult/Elder section)
-Stands around town, with different signs, prices, and qualities
-Stands around town, with different signs, prices, and qualities, and begging parents or older sims to buy stuff from stands for them, even if it is not worth it
-Donating money to charity, with happy moodlets from doing it
-Bad money bets
-Giving money to other sims
-Spending money on "kiddie" things (toys, kid-friendly video games, movies (MHS), snacks, outfits, etc.)
-Stealing money from others piggy banks or wallets
-Stealing credit or debit cards from parents or teens+
-Doing chores for money (cleaning window, washing dishes, cleaning litter box (Pets), walking dog (Pets), mow the lawn (Seasons), etc.)
-Crushes and Romance;
I have always wanted some sort of little crush / romance system for children and teens. And I know what you're thinking: "Ewww, children romance? Gross!". I think the same thing. But only for REAL ROMANCE. This is all silly, innocent love. About as big as crushes get for children is just kissing cheeks and giggling afterwards.
-Crush bar instead of romance bar
-One-sides crushes and two-sided crushes
-"Love notes" (recieving and giving. Sims have chance to feel embarrassment after this.)
-Chasing crushes
-New interactions (besides ones listed above and below):
"Talk about crush"
"Talk about school crushes"
"Talk about cute boys / girls"
"Reveal X's crush"
"Reveal crush"
-Kissing cheeks, and giggling afterwards, or getting rejected and embarrassed
-"Weddings"
-Getting nervous or embarrassed around crush
-Sleepovers and pillow fights (most sleepover activities are already listed)
-Treehouses (No boys / girls allowed, eat in tree house, tell secrets in tree house, play in tree house, talk in tree house, etc.)
-Playground equipment (bigger slides, swings, see-saw, etc.) and playground games (cherry bomb, etc.)
-Games without items or equipment needed (tag, cops and robbers, house, etc.)
-Board games (Jenga, Uno, Sorry, Monopoly, etc.)
-Family game night
-Jewelry making (creativity skill)
-Drawing and sketching
-Friendship bracelets
-After school rabbithole activities (Ballet / Dance (Dance skill), karate (motor skill), soccer (motor skill), basketball (motor skill), baseball (motor skill), drawing / art classes (creativity skill))
-Family reunions
-Gift giving
-New toys (fashion dolls, Legos (creativity skill), MONSTER TRUCKS, etc.)
Teens
Money;
-Part time jobs (lifeguard, etc.) with minimum wages ($7.50 - $10 per hour)
-Wallets
-Asking parents to go to mall, alone or with friends (rabbithole without GTW)
-Getting own credit or debit card
-Spending money on "teen" things (makeup, rated T or M video games or movies (MHS), snacks, clothes, music, headphones, jewelry, etc.)
-Asking for money
-Teens are now "too old" for stands and think they are "too cool" for them and sell things online instead
-Bad money bets
-Stealing credit or debit cards from parents or other teens and older
-Stealing money from others piggy banks or wallets
-Doing chores for money (same as children, and some "harder" chores, like washing the car, cooking dinner, etc.)
-Crushes and Romance
Crushes and romances are now more serious with teenagers. Some of my ideas for teenage crushes and romances are:
-No longer have crush bar; romance bar
-One sides and two sides crushes
-Getting nervous or embarrassed around crush
-New interactions (beside the ones listed above and below)
"Reveal crush"
"Talk about cute boys/girls"
"Reveal X crush"
"Talk about school crushes"
"Try to flirt with crush"
-Two sides children crushes give boost to romance for teens and older
-Board games (Jenga, Uno, Sorry, Monopoly, etc.)
-Family game night
-Jewelry making (creation skill)
-Drawing and sketching (drawing skill)
-Friendship bracelets

-Board games (Jenga, Uno, Sorry, Monopoly, etc.)
-Family reunions
-Pranks (egging buildings, toilet paper-ing buildings, whoopee cushion, etc.)
-Boarding school
-Dyeing hair
-Tattoo parlors, rabbit hole location, where you can get tattoos and tattoo removals. Sims will always come back with uncomfortable pain moodlets, too.
-Piercings (belly button, lip, etc.)
-Spin the Bottle
-Truth or Dare
-Sleepovers and pillow fights (most sleepover activities are already listed)
-Gift giving
YA/Adults
-WooHoo locations;

-Rabbithole careers (Education, Dance Instructor, Artist (drawing, not painting), Karate Mentor, Engineer (creation & charisma skill))
-Family reunions
-Dyeing hair
-Tattoo parlors, rabbit hole location, where you can get tattoos and tattoo removals. Sims will always come back with uncomfortable pain moodlets, too.

-New interactions for younger sims:

"Try to be 'Hip'" (try to act cool, with high chance of sims listening to get bad moodlets from embarrassment and annoyance)
-Retirement Homes
-Grandma's Soup
-Grandma's Cookies
-Garage sales
-Knitting
Thanks for reading! These are just some of my ideas for fleshing out life stages, hope you enjoyed!
Feel free to share your ideas too!

I want it ALL!
Family Tree
Playing Mod & CC Free
I always thought that sims should have their own little "allowances". I just thought it would be a cute idea. If your toddler got money somehow though, they could use it on toys, costumes, etc. with the permission of their parent.
your never to old to have a crush on someone
Buy Mode:
Walking Sticks- With the different variations of walks like Sims 3. I loved the walking sticks. Maybe even a zimmer-frame.
Photo Album- So they can look through the album and think about their family. It should have it's own inventory that you can place photos in from the camera.
Rocking Chairs- I love rocking chairs, and I like the image of an old lady in her chair reading to her grandkids.
Knitting Set- As a skill item. I would LOVE for there to be special CAS knitted clothes that you UNLOCK through levelling your knitting skill. Like Granny knitting her grandkids sweaters.
Bingo Set- For a night in with their elder friends. It could be a Social Event thing.
Vintage Themed Furniture- Gas stoves, floral couches, Grandpa's Special Chair etc... just thing that make the home seem cosy and grandparent-like.
Photo Frames- Not like the Sims 3 ones, where you could place multiple photos in one frame. I mean a choice of different frames, some for the wall, and some to stand on counters and stuff. Different sizes too.
Gameplay:
'Scold for life choices'- Could cause the embarrassed emotion, because who wants Grandpa telling you those piercings will ruin your career?
'Show family photos'- I loved this in Sims 3, when the Elders would whip out their wallet and show off a collection of pictures to random strangers.
Bingo Night- A Social Event that all the elders could attend. Simmer could even create a Bingo Hall for the Elders to host the party at.
Family Reunion- A Social Event that really speaks for itself.
'Remember the old times'- It's just a really cute interaction that I would love to see.
'Praise for growing up'- That moment Grandma tells her grandchild what a big boy they're becoming. Causes Confident emotion.
'Offer to babysit'- Speaks for itself.
'Sneak candy to child'- Grandpa passes a lollypop to grandson behind Mum's back.
'Offer parenting advice'- I know something like this came with Parenthood, but I'd like one worded differently for advice from parent to child.
New Music- Have a vintage channel with some old fashioned music for the older people. Have some teens react badly to it, they don't understand the old stuff.
'Complain about kids'- For grumpy elders who HATE kids.
'Chase away visitors'- I just really like this option.
CAS:
Thinning Hair Options- I don't feel like we have enough options for men going bald.
More Wrinkles
Those elder slippers that ALL elderly women seem to own.
'Old Soul' trait- Not necessarily for Elders, this trait allows people to enjoy the 'older things' in life. Allows Teens, YA and Adults to enjoy the older music and movies. Makes them annoyed to hear 'newfangled' stuff.
'Matriarch/Patriarch' trait- Earnable in YA years when you receive an extra trait, this gives you a bonus when talking to younger family members. Also offers new conversation options with kids and teens
The Sims 4- Generations.
A new world called Plumsdale.
Daycare- I'd also really like the Daycare profession back. BUT, I would want it in the GtW style, with a pre-built Daycare building, like the Hospital and Police Station. I'd like to see other adult sims running around after toddlers and kids.
More kids toys and playground stuff- swings, slides, roundabouts, see-saws.
Bunk Beds
Teachers Career
Youth Centre- For teens and kids to spend time at.
Graveyards- I like building family plots to show how many generations I've been through.
Big Houses- Plumsdale should be full of big, multiple bedroom homes. Starter homes should have room for expansion.
Hidden Lot- I'd like a hidden lot that only kids can enter, sort of like a secret treehouse for them.
More Teen Jobs- And if your teen had a Teen Job, then they should have a promotion on a job that is linked to their teen job. Example: Teen gets job as a Delivery Guy/Girl for pizza= Starts Catering career on Lvl 2.
School Clubs- I really liked this feature.
Maternity Clothes- Because I hate my female sims wearing 🐸🐸🐸🐸 shorts and a crop top when pregnant. You should be able to customise a maternity outfit once they are pregnant.
New Traits:
Rebellious
School-Club Enthusiast
Shy
Domestic
Old Soul
Matriarch/Patriarch
New Lifetime Goal:
Storybook Family- Your Sim wants to succeed at everything! Must have at least lvl 6 at Teen Job, have a boyfriend/girlfriend as a teen, get married, have 4 kids, max job, die of old age.
Plumsdale buildings should be in four different neighborhoods:
One- Old fashioned Tudor style homes, minimum 3 bedrooms, great for big families.
Two- Contemporary Houses, up to four bedrooms, usually couples with one or two kids.
Three- Starter homes for Couples with a baby. Room for expansion.
Four- Five and Six + bedroom Colonial mansions. Great for extended households that include kids, parents and grandparents.
Thanks so much!!
also funeral event.
yeah parenthood was a step in a right direction and did improve upon a few things sims 3 generations messed up on but yeah a real generations expansion pack would be nice.
Parenting does add a lot of depth and I love it, but it doesn't really add many activities and things to do as a family. I loved Sims 3 Generations because it added so much to do with families. I find that, even if we have a lot of big things to play with like restaurants and businesses, it's the small details inside of those big features that make them enjoyable. Similarily, we need more small details and activities for families and sims to interact with each other in general, in order for them to feel more whole. There's something about Sims 3 sims that make me form a relationship with them, and something about Sims 4 sims that don't. If the sims have more depth to them, we will feel more attached, and things in this pack will definitely help.
Little things that I liked about Sims 3 Generations:
- Games like tag that don't require an object to play it
- Prank calls
- Prom!! And prom photos
By the way, I'd really appreciate if we can once again put photos on a table instead of only on the wall.
- After-school activites like ballet, sports etc. (Even though it's rabbit hole, it makes the sims more detailed. Depth doesn't neccessarily have to be large features and shiny things, but rather suggestions - the idea that makes a sim more human)
- Consequenses. Detention for not doing homework or a failed prank etc. Sims get away with everything, but the risk of consequense is what gives one the thrill of doing something risky, thus eliminating the risk effectively eliminates the point.
- Sims actually forming unique relationships with each other. Sims in 4 basically act exactly the same with each sim they know, regardless of relationship, which destroys the feeling of intimacy between higher-relationship sims. I loved how Sims 3 sims automatically were mean towards sims they didn't like and had foul facial expressions around them etc, and how they actually seriously mourned for days if a loved one died. It is always heart-breaking when they start to cry with a thought-bubble of the deceased sim's face. That's what makes sims more alive.
- Funerals. When sims die, no-one cares unless they saw them dying and even then it doesn't really affect them. Serious work is needed here.
- In general, things that make each life stage unique. Please add many unique things to each age so it feels different and fun to play a sim through each stage of its life. I always get bored easily when trying to play with Sims 4 in generation style because all the sims feel the same throughout their lives. Toddlers are awesomely unique though, so if that level of depth can be applied to each stage (including elders! They are important, too) it would make sims feel more worth playing.
