I watched the first season of Stranger Things last year, but I haven't had time to watch the second season yet. I really liked 13 Reasons Why (although I liked the book better), and The Killing.
I also like Orange Is The New Black! I also loved A Series Of Unfortunate Events. I have to say I wasn't as keen on 13 Reasons Why, I only got halfway through but I intend to watch the other half at some point. It was just a bit too teenage-drama for me (which is totally fine but I feel like I would've enjoyed it more if it had been around a few years ago, not so much now).
Hard question! There's no way I can pick a favourite, so I'm just going to list all the shows I've watched and immediately loved. Okay, I'll be missing a few but these are some I've loved over the years:
-The Vampire Diaries -Prison Escape -iZombie -Orphan Black -Pretty Little Liars -13 Reasons Why -Bates Motel -The OA -Glitch -The Returned -Black Mirror -Orange is the New Black -Scream -The Good Place -Travelers -Reign -Between -The Mist -Survivor -Skins -Doctor Who -Riverdale -Gossip Girl
It's a long list, and also in no particular order (I was scrolling down my Netflix and picking out things I thoroughly enjoyed). Might help someone who's stuck and wants to watch something but isn't sure what's good!
Stranger Things is next on my list to watch, I'm kind of ashamed that I haven't watched it already.
Uhh... Only my *favorite*? I watch all the Marvel shows. LOVED The Punisher. But love Agents of Shield even more, although I only use Netflix to catch up if I get behind, otherwise I watch that one as it comes out on ABC. One series that gets under-mentioned but is truly awesome is Glitch.
Black Mirror. Can't get enough of it. Not only is its writing clever and brilliant, it's socially relevant and heeds us of the dangers of technology (technology that are actually being invented as we speak). I had to actually watch another similar show just to satisfy my craving for Black Mirror, and it's this British dark comedy called "Inside No. 9", which shared Black Mirror's anthology and dark comedy style. I think my favorite episode of Black Mirror (and there are so many to choose from) was between White Christmas, White Bear, and Black Museum. No reason why I chose episodes with monotone colors in their title.
I used to watch Netflix Marvel a while ago. I loved the first season of Daredevil and loved Jessica Jones even more. But when I got to the second season of Daredevil, I got kinda bored at that point, especially when they started focusing on Electra and The Hand. I guess even Netflix Marvel, as gritty as it is, had to go with mainstream storylines eventually. It certainly didn't feel as unique as Jessica Jones or the Kingpin storyline.
