BUG: There's a wooden floor that is not available in the game catalog.

Recently I realized that there's a type of wooden floor available in the game which can not be accessed through the build mode catalog. I noticed this when I was browsing through the room-style section, in living room.

The room specified in the picture in the first two available colors uses a floor that is simply not available in the build mode catalog. When I click on the floor, I can use the hidden floor in my house, but if I click on the dropper tool on it, I'm taken to the build mode catalog, but no specific floor is shown as selected.

I checked every single floor to be sure, and really, it's a hidden floor. I asked some friends to check on their games if the floor was also hidden, and they confirmed the same thing to me.

Try entering into the cheat bar
testingcheats true
Then, press enter.
Then type into the cheat bar
bb.showhiddenobjects
Press enter
Then in the search bar in build/buy mode, type in the word “ unknown”
See if the floor appears in build mode then.

I have looked in my game, and the flooring is called “ Kwality Wide Plank Flooring” and I am unable to find it in build mode either.

there's a couple of wallpapers and floors that you can't access.
here is a mod that makes them available in bb.

I had a moment to look at this in-game.
Confirmed the only way to see this particular floor is to select it in this particular room.
The name of the floor is "Kwality Wide Plank Flooring"

There are similar floors but neither the colors nor the floor pattern match.
Used the cheat I still could not find it.

I think # 4 & # 8 in the image are roofing textures. Not many people realize those particular ones double as flooring.
They are free as roofing texture but cost as flooring.
Wondering if some of these hidden things were part of base game at some point.

The hidden textures may have been in the catalogue and somehow now have been removed ? Or they may have never been listed there.

yea, i think 5 and 1 are also roof textures. the mod creator says these were only available via the roofing tool, so they added them to the flooring section. (but that might be outdated because i think they are in the misc flooring section?)

they were just unused. there are cas items that are also inaccessible without mods because they were unused.
i don't know why. i am pretty sure one of these floors is in the pancakes' house too. (i think it's the one op posted)

eta: not sure if unused is the right word.. cut maybe?

I checked in game and the same floor is used on the porch areas of the Pancakes house.

Based on our combined research I would say these may have been replaced by other options. The code was most likely left in the game because these items were used in creating base game assets. Example: Pre-made rooms and builds like the Pancake house.
Guessing this would not be consider a bug or glitch.

Most of these textures are available using the show hidden objects cheat, but not all of them. I wish the rest were available.

4, 8, and 1 are roofing, 5 is foundation, 10 is both foundation and a base for more complicated wall textures. 11 looks useful, and I think I've seen people use it on YouTube, but I don't think I've seen it in the catalogue myself. Is it carpet? I'm pretty sure I've never seen 12 before at all, but maybe it's from a pack I don't have? 7 and 9 I've used. I'm not sure about 6 or 2, except I know there are wall textures that match 2.

It's a bit silly that they're locked. Things like this could be unlocked with a few clicks of a button and claimed as new content.

In fact there's quite a few things in bb that could be unlocked, mostly as clutter.

The jacket shown in that list got a recolor in September’s patch. I really wish we could have gotten the plain version too.

the "not so drab slab", "gravel delite", and "my own corrugated castle" roofs (#5, #1, #4/8) are available via the roofing tool or can be found as tiles with hidden objects on.
normally, they are not available as tiles.
here is the mod maker's statement on this:

Some of the floors are identical to certain roof patterns, and can actually be already used in the game by using the roof pattern tool on a room. This is a rather cumbersome way to access them, and they don't appear in the catalog itself. All of the other designs are completely hidden and inaccessible from the catalog for no discernible reason.

This mod unhides them so that they can be used normally. Missing swatch colors have been added, prices and descriptions corrected, and a few were missing proper names, so I've added ones that sounded appropriate (these are denoted on the list below by an asterix).

i could not find any of the other ones in game. i have checked debug and turned hidden objects on. do you know where you found them?
#9 is sand that is available as terrain paint, not as a tile.
#6 is the tile that is used on ceilings.
#11 is a dirt wall that matches the "bottom of the basement" tile found in the catalog. there is a similar wallpaper in the catalog named "martian soil".
#10 is similar to the wallpaper in the catalog named "urbanity", but i could not find this one with the holes in it.

Oh my God, how can they hide so many good things in the game? Look at tile number 2! It fits perfectly with that wallpaper that I never found a floor that matched properly.

I would really love these floors/walls to be part of the game, especially the ones that match the tile! Maybe in the next patch?
