I don't know if this is a bug or if I've done something, but my acquaintances/friends/general randomers will not stop messaging my sim, anytime, day or night, inviting her to bars/clubs/restaurants etc.

Now it used to be that I got these notifications occassionally (like when I got promoted or something) but recently I seem to be getting at least 4 or 5 per sim day - that can't be right can it?! It's so freaking annoying!

I am sorry that your sims are getting a lot of texts in your game.
If you have MC Command Center mod there are settings that help with this issue.

The MCCC mod helps with the issue. It doesn’t cause the issue,

I had this issue too, but people are messaging me irrelevant things like "Congrats on your new addition to the family!" When my sim had her baby (now a child) ages ago. I also get marriage congratulations when my sim has been married for a very long time, promotion, new boyfriend etc. and it's getting a bit crazy. I don't mind it but surely it's not meant to happen? I also can't install mccc without a lot of bugs and lag happening.

I get those late notifications as well, "excuse me, but my sim is not newly married" I do have a question, you write that MCCC makes your game buggy, how so? Also, do you have other mods or CC in your game? I am just curious as to why you think MCCC is the problem.

Yeah I'm also getting the irrelevant congratulations - glad it's not just me. I'm reluctant to start using mods. If it's a glitch with the game then one of the Gurus probably needs to get on it and dial back the interaction settings or something...

I've gotten those late congrats like days after except the one where my sim actually did get a promotion though other than that It's actually been a little quite for me except for yesterday when my sim kept getting texts from her insane neighbor.

@ExxCee Do you have more friends than before? I could be wrong, but it seems that the more friends my sims have, the more invitations they receive. And that's multiplied by the number of sims in your household.

Nope - no more than usual. I think I have 3 people who came round for the welcome wagon and then Penny Pizzaz (because apparently she knows EVERYONE) but that's it. It's so strange.

Try deleting the cache files and see if that helps

Repairing the game may also help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
