      Hi everyone :3

      Unz here popping in to say hello. I couldn't find a "total newb go here" forum (do point me to it if I missed it) but I'm a newish Simmer and a brand new SimLit adventurer. I'm in the process of playing my first ever Legacy challenge and setting up my blog to start chronicling it :)

      I just wanted to kinda'... dip my toe in. The community is HUGE (I had no idea ._.) and I really hope to get involved in some of the daily prompts and things, that would be very fun and interesting. And I hope my Legacy story turns out to be one people enjoy reading! I'm a bit hesitant to share the weblink yet because there's not much of any substances there yet XD But I did at least want to introduce myself and start poking around the forums.

      You can't tell. You best bet is to choose the one your sims gets along best with her sim. Or dl MC Command Center and they'll do the flirting for you sometimes.

      Gameplay-wise, I don't think that there's something like Sims 3 where you have this notification of "Oooh chemistry!". It's more about what you make of it, I think. I personally play in a style that allows me to watch their facial expressions and actions towards another and either I'm crazy or they really differ! I've had some sims become best friends and lovers right away when others wouldn't even look at each other. As the game is destined to make you be able to realize your dreams and creativity, you can of course force any two sims to become a couple, because that's just how the game works. It's your decision how you want to play it out and how you want to interpret the events that are happening. Sometimes sims get turned down when flirting and then get this thought bubble with the face of the sim crossed out, right? That's usually my cue to not go there any further.

      @psychounz Hey there and welcome to the Writer's Lounge! I totally get that the community can be a little bit scary and confusing, but there are so many awesome people here! If you want to get involved with others, one of the best tips that has been given to be and that I'm shamelessly throwing at you: Read, read, read! The community here on the forum is one of the most tight-knit I've ever experienced. If you read someone's story and comment on them, a lot of them will answer you and a whole lot of those are willing to check out yours as well. Commenting and getting involved as well as taking part in collabs is a sure way to gather some friends! Don't worry about not having a lot of readers right away and cherish those you have. If people see that you're having fun with what you do, they will be attracted to that and come!

      Sorry for hitting you with a wall of text! I'm in no way an expert on this stuff, so take everything I say with a pinch of salt. I can recommend checking out this thread as well as browsing a bit to find stories that you like. :)

      @Asaoyoru Thank you! I just finished perusing the beginning of that thread, actually! XD Yes, there is SOMUCH but a nice cup of coffee on a rainy day is just the thing to scroll through the forums! I am normally quite shy, which is why it's taken me so long to get into the community, let alone SAY HELLO to anyone XD But everyone seems to be so nice so I'm sure I'll carve out my little niche somewhere :3

      i didn't have time to answer this this morning. i alternate between what my sims do in game and making it up. it can be fun to challenge myself to write just from my head, but iaccidently depressed adam and eve. shes alright it just meant i had the emotions right.

      @friendsfan367 How did you accidentally depress me? You mean with your Benders chapter?

      yes. but i once got in a did not did too fight with cathtea when i was first writing emotional stuff.

      i just felt bad you were sad.

      @friendsfan367 don't feel bad. We're good. I write hard, depressing things too sometimes. It's ok to evoke emotions in your readers. An emotional reaction is a good thing because then you know your readers are connected to your story.

      i could actually i controlled ayden when he was with elsa and he went in the bush with christine anyway . and both times he rolled whims to be with christine. and this time he refused to go home.

      I have missed you, too! I'm doing amazing, just came back from my trip to the USA a few days ago - I've been thinking of you and the rest of my American forums friends a lot while I was there. How are you? Seems like I have quite a lot of catching up to do - I assume that's your new heiress in your signature (and she looks like Hope with red hair, right? :tongue: )

      It's kind of spoiler-y, that's true, but it's a good kind of spoiler, at least for me. It warms my heart to know Zayne and Hope lived through your legacy long enough to have a child together :smiley:

      I had the most wonderful time in America! I finally got to eat at all the fast foods I only knew from TV until now like Taco Bell and Dunkin Donuts :smiley: I visited Florida which is ridiculously beautiful and very different from where I am from, so I really loved it. And there was so much to do there! And the people were really nice! And the grocery stores - so big and incredible - I'm really going to miss those! :smiley:

      Hahaha sounds like you had a great time @CharmingMaruska ! Florida is so beautiful (but so hot!!) I love that you got to experience the fast food too :lol:@Julyvee94 visited me a couple weeks ago and I took her to Taco Bell the first day :joy:
