I agree. In an attempt to solve the Sims1-type problem where you'd throw a party but all the sims went off to read, or watch TV or something, they went perhaps a little TOO heavy on the socialising in less socially-oriented contexts
@SimGuruGraham will the house/lot that was used in the live stream play for Toddler Stuff with you and SimGuruDrake be uploaded to the gallery? Or could it be, please. Thank you
I have no wishlist as I own the store....when I accumulate enough sim points I will be back to gift more people
@SimGuruGraham Why do sims autonomously choose social interactions even when autonomy is turned off?
What interactions are you noticing this with? I thought in most cases, if autonomy is off, the sim will only be a "receiver" of social interactions from a sim who has autonomy on, but can't be the initiator.
Sims won't initiate chatting on their own when free will is off. But soon as they are locked into a conversation, all bets are off
Once communication has been initiated (either by being approached by a game controlled sim or player directed) sims will choose their own topics even with free will off. And the game considers everything in the chat menu a conversation topic. I play with free will off period and my sims have been known to fight, toss drinks into each others faces and even woohoo on their own, simply because these things are in the list of communication topics. It can be very annoying at times.
Ohhh, ok. I thought someone was having sims start conversation outside of autonomy. Yeah, I know what you mean about the "once in conversation" thing.

I'm not sure if this was asked already, but @SimGuruGraham how will the hampers work? Will it be like TS3, if sims change their clothes in a room where there is no hamper, the clothes will go on the floor? Or will we finally be able to have only one hamper in the lot and all clothes go there if there is none on that particular room? This would be incredibly useful because, as much as I love laundry, having to have one hamper in every room was a bit of an issue since I like to play in small houses.

Thanks. But that's not the one I was asking about. The one I was asking about is a residential house, it was used right in the beginning for the playdate.

Unlike The Sims 3, having a single hamper on your lot will be enough to take care of any outfit changes you make. The clothes will automatically be placed in the hamper regardless of where your Sim is. That said, the hamper can fill up... if all the hampers on your lot are full, then additional outfit changes will cause clothing piles to appear on the ground.
And will it be like before in that if we don't have laundry items on a lot, no laundry piles will happen and the lot will ignore laundry gameplay features?

The laundry system won't activate unless there's a washing machine or wash tub on the lot. Without those items, your Sims will behave as if laundry didn't exist.

@SimGuruGraham so we have seen the so called "first look into eco packs cas" now. But my question is why is there a shirt that wasn't chosen by voting(the one with long sleeves)? Or are you guys adding more clothes into the pack now? I do like that shirt don't get me wrong BUT I hope that we are actually gonna get every cas item that actually won the voting.
Hi @SimGuruGraham - Will the clothes displayed on the line reflect the clothes in our Sims' actual wardrobes?
They won't. All of the clothing in-game can't simply be flattened and hung over a line like that; it simply isn't modeled to do that. The laundry that appears on the line will be a gender-neutral smattering of clothing and household linens like towels.

I actually replied to you in the other thread about this. That shirt is actually one of the ones that players selected in the vote, just with a different color variant than the concept art showed. Those who are curious can see my full answer by clicking here.
I just got confused because it was a male shirt and the base model was a female. My mistake.
Thank you for your answer @SimGuruGraham
P.S can't wait to see the new hairstyles
@SimGuruGraham I know there is no laundromat lot type, but if we create one as another lot type, such as generic, and buy a hamper at the sim's home, could sims put the laundry in their inventory and take it to the laundromat? Would it work?
I have a question for @SimGuruGraham will we be able to wash curtains, sheets, shoes etc. in the washing machines or will it be clothes only?
This one is quick enough for me to pop in and answer
Dirty laundry is going to be generated when Sims change their outfits, so the laundry that you'll be cleaning will really just be clothes. You may see some visuals like sheets or towels hanging from the clothesline, but you aren't going to be going around collecting them from the bed, bathroom, etc. You'll pick laundry up from the hamper, and take it to be washed.

I can answer that one. No. I didn't get that from a guru, but I am basing it on everything I know of the sims object modelling process.

We're planning for around nine color variants for the washer/dryer currently. I actually passed that thread along to our art director yesterday.
