I think we will get some kind of magic pack and there will be a small world with it. FH is small and too dead for a witching world. Plus, I hope there is a town square with shop stands to purchase needed ingredients for spells and a place for dueling. I hope we will have the option to make old, scary fairytale witches or Harry Potter witches or more magic or herb type witches, so everyone can make the witches they want to be able to play.
I hope we will get a swamp themed world It would go nicely with Willow Creek.
Maybe they could finally use this concept art :
Then again, magic is a veeeery broad theme, with witchcraft, voodoo, sorcery, warlocks, mages, shamans, etc. all potentially having different associations and themes. So I'm not sure if just a voodoo or traditional European witch theme would suffice.
THIS! This makes me excited. If witches/wizards/warlocks come in a gamepack, I would expect to see a small world added. I hope its full of trees and nature. Similar to outdoor retreat with dirt walkways and hills but with a spooky./cloudy twist. I want my witch living in a small secluded cabin.
Ever since I saw this thread I've been thinking about it. Though I don't want witches I would buy such a pack if it came with the right world.
Anything that could substitute as FH part 2, as I love FH but wish it were bigger.
OMG that concept art is GORGEOUS! I'd love a voodoo-themed pack, honestly, even if it was just a voodoo stuff pack separate from a witches game pack so we could get both types. I feel like they might actually do a better job of fleshing things out, actually, if they did a voodoo stuff pack and a witches game pack with a world with a very magical feeling. I could see a sort of Diagon Alley-esque shopping area in a New Orleans type setting, actually. I think those would combine really nicely.
I'd like a magical world over a spooky one. But I'd hope that any magic pack would be large enough to cover both magical and spooky witch themes! (Maybe an evil vs good type set up)

Witches are prominent in American culture and there are v specific dwellings for them i.e. Salem and New Orleans - so I definitely think the devs could/should pull off either a spooky New England-inspired town or some gorgeous bayou. I can't really think of a place in America that I'd connect to fairies but Ireland would be a nice place to pull inspiration from if they were to do an entirely new world for them as well.
Some of the suggestions here make me grin. I'd love the swamp world.. with maybe a few new plants that can only be found there. I don't want them forced to live only there of course but that sort of atmosphere would work well with coven activities .. even if that's pretty stereotypical. Still I'd enjoy it.

I'd love an updated Magic Town from Sims 1 Makin' Magic -- instead of witches as a separate occult type, make it so any Sim can learn magic (or not). Maybe have a few pre-mades who already have the skill, but otherwise it would be easy to avoid for those players who don't want magic in their game, but would still enjoy going to ride the rides and watch the magic demonstrations and duels.

I hope it will come with a spooky world like Midnight Hollow in TS3. That would compliment Forgotten Hollow.
And I'm hoping witches will also bring scary instrumental music something vampires missed..
But what about those of us who want "normal" everyday witches? Think Samantha Stevens from "Bewitched" or Sabrina the Teenage Witch who goes to high school and has a human boyfriend. I'd like to make sure there's room for that sort of witch as well -- more of my witches would be likely to live in Willow Creek or Newcrest or Windenburg than a Forgotten Hollow Mark II.

@stilljustme2.
I'd like Witchcraft to be a skill type or set of skill types also. I don't really want them to become a whole other entity I guess. I'd rather have the gambit between normal sims that can practice magic to those that really get into it be it in good or evil ways. That doesn't mean I don't want a creepy world though .. they don't have to live there just be willing to go their maybe to collect ingredients.
I think I'll like what they come out with though (EA) and I'm trying not to focus too hard on making something a need for it to be enjoyed.. I think I'd set myself up to dislike what they come up with if I do.
I loved shows like Bewitched growing up ... up to enjoying American Horror story Coven.. so I'm good with many forms of witches that have been portrayed in the media.. I'd like most if they did a more realistic type of witch that actually is out there in real life but I somehow doubt well see that... not enough punch to it.

Especially because some might own Witches, but not Vampires.
