For ref: I believe we decided that bizoopagoto is a compound word; bizoo-pa-goto. Bizoo (clone) pa (small) goto (child). Possibly more elaboration to come!

    Just dropping off my updates.

I like the idea of the origins and language that we can use that links our little aliens together. The refugee ship probably fits more with the idea I have for Amber as she is and will be going through changes to her appearance that will cause her to look a little different to the others.
The Language sort of completes the circle and as amber may have found a friend I think it will be a great help my story.

    @CathyTea - Please do!

Poor little Leon speaks a lot more alien when he's little and goes pretty non-verbal as he ages up. So I would love to have/help the language develop as I write out these chapters. Which I'm planning to do over the next few days. But I'd love to throw in a line or two for Leon - Blaze is pretty clueless as to what he's saying, but I'd like it to make sense to those in the know.

I haven't started on Hannah - but her experience is quite different than Leon so I'll probably use the language more with her.

Question about clones. I'm not full up on the whole mythology yet and I'm still working to fit it in with the aliens that have shown up in my stories in the past...not hard at all. HAHAHAHA.

Hidden becuse of length and random spoilers
First off we have the Drifters who in Gen 4 discovered a portal to an alternative universe where the sims were multicolored. (Aliens). Some came through and stayed, but that connected was severed somehow? Or at least the easy pass through that Taylor made is no longer available which explains why there are so few aliens in the Drifter world some 3 generations later. Also the land is pretty highly regulated by the government so it could be that outside the area there are more aliens.

People don't look oddly at Leon for being green and alien. But he doens't really have anyone like him in school or the neighborhood...unless I mess up my shots and pick one with Mina in all her purple glory in the background. Sigh. Hopefully that won't happen. They don't leave home often.

In this world, the clones work quite well. I'm not sure if Leon is a clone or not - since he was in statis when they crashed, he doesn't rememeber the crash. He could go either way (i'm open). He DOES have memories about the panic when they boarded the ship, but they are just sound memories, no visuals and he's not sure where they came from or why. I might not even explain it my story if it doesn't make sense.
He also goes non-verbal as he ages up as simlish sticks in his throat. He's smart and can write just fine, but speaking takes a long time for him. Especially when he's 8 which is the only time I've written him speaking speaking. He may get more comfortable over time. Pretty sure that's a Leon-uniuqe thing and not a clone thing.

Penelope on the other hand is an alien living under a disguise. A product of an abduction. Does this mean she's not a clone? Would she be aware of the clone issues? She has been to Sixam as a child. I had been plannign to have the abudctions explained as an attempt to interface between to two peoples. That the aliens of Sixam are acutally different looking than the humanoid aliens we see in game and they are creating hybrids to help talk between the two....notice how this totally DOESN'T match my drifter parallel universe. Sigh.

Any more information on the whole clone thing would be helpful - I'd love a way to figure out how to fold this all together if I can. Or at least grab pieces of it to smooth out the rough edges.

Clones are just clones of the aliens that are naturally born. They are not believed to have souls, and thus are ruthlessly exploited by many. Abduction babies are clones too, created for scientific experiments.
If Penelope had hidden her clone status she would have been accepted, but many people would have rejected an abduction baby.
Also @ra3rei would you like to join our lingual efforts? We have a PM running.

I would say Penelope is not a clone--I mean Cocoa is her daddy! :) But her other genes could be from clone-genes--up to you!

As far as the clone thing goes,
I'm going to have Septemus as a clone of an adult alien linguist, which explains why he's good with languages! He's also part of the proof that clones have souls--because, golly! Does Sept have a soul! Maybe, when I upload Septemus to the gallery, if you put him in your games and he's running around, he could be a clone! (which really fits with Sim-reality, since they are clones of Sims, so that works well in terms of the actual reality our Sims experience!

OK--about trauma from the crash/grief from losing the Bizaabgotojo...

@SoulGal7 and @ra3rei mentioned trauma, and a few others of you, too, with nightmares and such...

My Sim Meadow is Dove's pen pal in the Pen Pal Project. And Meadow is studying to become a trauma specialist (her background is in folklore and her current focus is art therapy, but her long-term plans are to get a PhD in trauma studies, incorporating Somatic Experiencing [which is a real approach developed by Peter Levine]). I'm sure that Dove will be mentioning the project to Meadow in upcoming letters--and Meadow and Dove have already talked a lot about trauma and healing.

Dove mentioned in the forums about checking with experts to find the right way to help the kids heal... And YES! Kids (and adults, too) can completely, 100% heal from trauma and PTSD. It's a myth that PTSD is permanent and can't be healed.

So... My thinking was that Meadow might suggest to Dove that she check with one of her mentors who specializes in therapy for children. If you like this idea, I can create this Sim and upload her to the gallery, and you can move her into your game to interact with your Sims.

Sebastion recently wrote about the play approach to healing from trauma, which is what he used with Septemus. And if you want, I can share a poignant and inspiring example that Peter Levine writes about, so you can see how the basic approach works. It's pretty simple, pretty nuanced, and incredibly powerful! :)

In terms of grief... in my story, it's something that Septemus never really "gets over." It becomes a part of him, just like Sebastion's loss of his parents when he was a young child has become part of him. But it doesn't mean he's broken--it just makes him softer. :)<3

When the challenge first came out I knew trauma was something I wanted to explore. I mean, the whole situation for these kids would be traumatic, especially if they have memories before the crash of their previous family and caretakers. My characters are following with an in-agency trauma specialist for the remainder of Emmanuel's story.

Like your idea for @CathyTea's story, the grief never really goes away. Emmanuel will eventually start reaching out to the other children himself that were on-board the ship using the biz forum/letters that he writes.

I'm planning on having him attend a school solely for alien children, started by one of the parents from his baby Non-Verbal group, taught in their home. If anyone else is interested in this angle, you're welcome to use it! Just let me know, perhaps we can download each other's sims so they have interactions at school, or something.

At last! I have my first chapter up!

    First Chapter:

Penelope Curious Pigglewiggle here. A few months ago I moved to San Myshuno. It was time to start a life on my own. It’s quite different here than Oasis Springs. The lights! It’s like the city never really sleeps. But I’ve been finding my own place here and meeting the neighbors

Yeah uh what CathyTea means is my sim Brio, he gets abducted a lot he has five kids by abductions (one and then two sets of twins in a row), the most recent twins got bugged somehow so they have a different pollination tech then the first three and I have no idea how that could have happened. He has another little one that I added in because I was worried about the game bugging again if Brio got abducted again.

I have pictures if people want to see them!

@Charliimai - just did a catch-up on all the chapters you posted and I just love the added twist that you wrote in your last chapter. Great story!
@CathyTea - loved your latest chapter, too, it was much happier than the other ones. They really seem to be connecting as a family!

    Hi, everyone! :)

I'm making a collab blog for us! We can use some screenshots and art...

Here's what we'll want at some point:

    a) Site Icon: 512 px square (this is used as a browser and app icon for our site--it'll show up in the tab on the browser next to the site title)
    b) A logo: This shows up somewhere on the home page, depending on the theme we select
    c) Lots of screenshots! I can pull them from your blog, so I just need suggestions from you of which to use...

We can also use ideas for sections!

We'll have a section for the language--it's really getting developed! We've got a numeral system (base 12!)! We've got loads of vocabulary! It's awesome!

We can have a page for Participating Simmers, with each of our names and links to our blogs! :)

We can have a link to the bizoo forum....

What do we want to do about our bizoopagotogo? Some of them are flying under the radar, so we may not want to link to them...

Maybe we can have "Guest bloggers," and some of our care-givers and some of the kids as they get older can write guest pieces! :)

Once I've got it started, I can set all of you up as editors, so you'll be able to post blog entries there and make updates. We'll touch bases on this later! :)

OK! I've got the blog started! https://bizoopagotogo.wordpress.com/

I'm open to suggestions for changes and revisions!

Note that I haven't added all the new participants to the new participant page--I'll do that!

We'll also swap out images as you share ones you'd like used.

Let me know if you want to be made an editor of the site!

    Cheers! :)

Wow, you've been busy! It looks great. I'm not the most reliable person so I doubt I'd be a good option as an editor. I'll look through my pics and see if I have any you can use. :)
