Recently, I set about changing all the buildings in the Windenburg harbour area. It started because I just didn't like the gym there (it required a sim to go down a floor, cross the lot, and go up again just to get to the workout machines which were right next to where one enters the building.) Then I figured that there was no point in having a pool separate from the gym, and wouldn't the Paragons club much prefer to hang out at a spa instead? I already had a spa built in the neoclassical Graeco-Roman style, and I had this idea for a neoclassical Graeco-Roman gym, and ... well, here we are.

Yes, I shuffled the locations around a bit, which meant I had to go to a few of the club leaders to have them change their club hangout locations. I also modified Spa Romana a bit so it has more "relax and socialise" space.

I've yet to properly playtest all these locations or upload them, but I don't anticipate a lot of trouble. I do note, though, that saving builds from these lots seems a little ... odd? Assuming our sim always arrives at a lot on the front side, I'm pretty sure that the default image for the cafe lot is actually the back view of the build, while the default image for what is now the spa is taken from the left side. I might have to save them on a Newcrest lot before I upload them.

Found some really superb lots that inspired me to redo the entirety of Willow Creek. I'm filling it primarily with Japanese architecture, both traditional and modern. Eventually I'm going to do up a list of all the lots used and their respective creators when I "finalize" the neighborhood's look and layout. Definitely not finished yet but I like it so far!

    I love these! <3<3<3

I think I'm going to do some themed neighborhoods for my challenge. If it's okay, I had linked this thread to my page, which uses this as inspiration.

These are brilliant. I can't post the pictures of the trailer lot I did in Oasis Springs. It make me sad/

Wonderful thread! So happy I found this as I recently started creating my own world (took a while to bulldoze everything :( ). Got some really needed inspiration from all of your beautiful themed neighbourhoods <3
Would love to see more if anyone is willing to share!

I know this thread has been dead for a while, but I just had to share my Oasis Springs Casino Suburbs remake. I only have one lot left to fill in the back corner. There are two homes that were built in the sixties in this neighborhood. After the local Casino took off in the late nighties, small condos were placed on other vacant lots. The largest condo complex has three units and a clubhouse, while the other condo lot is merely a split level. I plan on building one more older home at the front of the large empty lot. I'll most likely put three newer condo units toward the back as well. Let me know what you guys think!

Your Oasis Springs Casino Suburbs makeover looks great! @brentdegray :) It is very nice that there are condos on some of the lots. The tall trees add a great look to the builds, and to the overall look of the neighbourhood.

@ehaught58, thanks! It's a slow process, but it's almost done. I decided to add two houses instead of one at the front of the lot. The condo complex will still go in the back. The houses are relatively smaller starter homes, but they're great for singles or couples.

I'm currently working on remodeling the Bargain Bend neighborhood of Willow Creek to resemble some lower-income areas of Southern California. Here's my first starter home.

Your Steampunk Village looks so very great! @The_Dismal_Scientist :) The design of the roofing and the exterior of the buildings is so very creative! The clocks are great steampunk touches on the buildings.

Your starter home for the makeover of Bargain Bend neighboutrhood in Willow Creek reflects your neighborhood theme well @Blastboom :) The crack on the wall and the wire fences adds to the look of the home.

I'm back at it again, but this time I've been working on Salvadorada. I actually used one of your builds as a base for my resort @ehaught58. I hope that was ok. The Roadus Resort Hotel & Spa is situated in the middle of town. This compound contains a bar, restaurant, spa, and hotel, all surrounded by traditional Selvadoradian residences. The entirety of the resort is walled off for your Sims protection, and to discourage guerrilla fighters from attacking. A large covered supply area is located on the resort compound just in case a siege occurs at the hands of the rebels. All of the smaller homes are also decorated in traditional Selvadoradian fashion. One of these homes contains a bubble blower for those times you really want to immerse yourself in the culture. The Hillview Hideaway rental has also been updated. For a mere $373 Simoleons a night you can enjoy romantic views of Selvadorada while nestled in the high hills of the jungle canopy.

BTW my old ID on here was brentdegray, I'm not sure why it didn't change quoted comments over. I've posted to this tread a couple of times before.
