Sorry guys, didn't mean to disappear. Had to call an ambulance for my roommate. Spent the afternoon in the ER with her, just got home. Might not be back for a day or two. Thank you all so much for all your help. I will keep trying to work on this as time allows.

Unfortunately this is way below requirements to run the game. It also has very old hardware.

I have a gaming laptop and my game has been laggy and slow since Toddlers were patched in. They've released a few patches since then but haven't done anything on optimisation! I don't want this game to turn into TS3 with all the glitches and slowness!

    @HowdySimmer

If you have a gaming laptop - The Sims 3 shouldn't tend to be slow as I have an average laptop running the sims 3 smoothly. The sims 4 has issues which I know even I tried it myself and I think my laptop was below the minimum requirement which was the issue.

If you don't mind me asking what your computer specification is as I believe thats the problem if you can't run the sims 3 smoothly as well.

I am having similar problem. Whenever children on teenagers go to school game will freeze and they always go like an hour late because of this. I cannot click on any sims then and the time keeps going even though no sim is moving. Also after school children do not return after 3pm like they should.

    https://gyazo.com/51111ccfabc4561c3e1d4b325c777c1f

On the picture it is past 4pm and all my teens and children are still in school. My adult who should finish work at 3pm is still at work even thought it is 4pm. It has been happening since the new update and buying the fitness stuff pack. Please help!

    Hello @violetta3
Other simmers are also having the same issue when the sims are going to school . This thread on the AHQ EA site refers to the issue
    http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4-Bug-Reports/OPEN-Game-freezes-when-kids-teens-go-to-school/m-p/5870882#M34546
Some simmers have found that having their sims outside near where they leave for school just before the time has helped with the issue.

With the issue of them returning late from school, try repairing the game and see if it may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.

I finally got my Sims 3 playable after not getting it to work for a year and a half! I've also done a YT video on ways to make it run faster :)

    Hello
It is great that you are able to play Sims 3 again :) It is very thoughtful of you to make a helpful video, to help other simmers to be able to play the Sims 3 in the best possible way.

Also, try switching between 32 bit mode and 64 bit mode and see if one of the modes helps the issues more than the other
Go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture.
Click on “Game Properties”. Click on Advanced Launch options.
Change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 32-bit”
Or change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 64-bit”

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Hi everyone, I have also had an issue with my game lagging. When I am in live mode my sims always move in a lagged motion (their legs freeze and then unfreeze). However, I can move the camera without any lag in live mode and also don't experience any lag in build and buy mode. I do not use any mods. This lag has occurred since adding Vampire/Fitness Stuff to my game two days ago. I have repaired my game as well as restarted my computer. I play my game with reflections off.

    Thanks!

    Hello.
Could you please post your whole DxDiag info here. It will take multiple posts.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
    Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
Then copy and paste the information from where you saved it, to here in this thread.
Or you could copy and paste the information to pastebin https://pastebin.com
and post the link to the file here
