When people are using the auto-generated BBCode from image hosts like Photobucket, Flickr, et. al., if they want the image to actually display on the forums now, because of this security change, simply copying the auto-generated script provided is NOT going to work. That script looks like this:
WON'T WORK:
[url=URL TO IMAGE SITE][img]IMAGE_URL_TO_PHOTO.jpg[/img][/url]
They need to copy just the IMG part of the code to make the picture appear, because that removes the link.
WILL WORK:
[img]IMAGE_URL_TO_PHOTO.jpg[/img]
For those that have picture-heavy threads, they just need to edit their posts to remove these parts of the coding from the pictures to get them to display again; uploading them to another host isn't going to matter (the only thing that matters is if the images are linked to the image host within the code).
REMOVE THESE PARTS:
[url=URL TO IMAGE SITE][/url]
If someone wants to actually link to a picture offsite, I'd recommend using a text-link to do it from now on. For example:
Here is a picture of my cool [url=URL_TO_IMAGE.jpg]Sim[/url]!
Which would send the person to a separate browser window with an image of the picture, and they would get the "You are now leaving the forums" warning.

Put instead, in the new tab, I'm greeted with this:
The above comes up whenever an external link is clicked. They've changed something and it's super duper frustrating. Plus from the first image, you can see that my pictures are messed up. I really hope this is addressed by @SimGuruDrake or any other guru that can help.
Yes I also noticed that when I'm on my phone all the forum categories are gone. It just shows sub-categories without any spacing.

True but I'm not allowed to do more than one post every ten mintues. When I have hundreds of posts, it really makes me MAD that they did this to us. They do not care. Would rather inconvenience people to "warn" about leaving their site. Ridiculous.
I've seen this too. Previously clicking on external links would take you to the website without question but clicking on any external link (including The Sims 3's website, Origin, EA's website, and even EA's other game pages) will display a page asking you to click the link. It's also worth noting that The Sims 3 Forums did not have this page; it'll load the page.
I don't know if this was due to NSFW, spam, or malware links that prompted EA to change the Forums but the latter two could make sense since most users on the Forums are Windows users which often have more viruses than macOS although these links are forbidden by the Rules and Electronic Arts' Terms of Service.
@SimGuruDrake could we go back to the non-"you're leaving the sims forums" sites? It's annoy for SimLit Writers and people like @mastressalita who has a "Library" of SimLit stories.

Thanks! I wish most people would read this because now we don't see a lot of images they post and sometimes, even links to popular site links no longer work.
