I am having a lot of these issues, I have not become a member after reaching the requirements, I links to people's username do not work nor to emoticons :s

I think they are changing stuff all this week, unless a guru wants to correct me about that as Vanilla says they are adding a new 'switch' on May 21st so maintenance is scheduled so maybe they have messed up everything in advance of that new addition whatever that is.

Replacing a switch is like replacing your power strip your TV is plugged on, except it's for network and not electricity.

They did fix his points but ever since they did this update, anyone that has the New Member status and has the requirements for membership hasn't been promoted yet. I believe the last time anyone was promoted was that Sunday before the Monday update. Someone did say that they heard from SimGuruDrake that the issues was being looked into.
As I noted before, I have all requirements to be a member, like many others, yet still have not received member status. But things that used to work for me now do not. For example I cannot use the link to a simmer like @minkydpain doesn't work, I cannot use. :smiley: , smiley's and quotes do not work for me either.

O.K.< (as in thank you for confirming this) then maybe someone should check to see if members who are deemed new members should go ahead and enable BBCode for them? I don't know why they still don't have their full memberships. It seems like that makes sense to me, lol, but as I said I don't know how it works.

It is when you quote new members
I'm not sure if it's only then or not, I usually don't even pay attention to who is a new member or not. But I see it often in the last month or so.

That's because the forum has not been upgrading new members to members for the past month. Anyone who was below 50 points at the beginning of May has not been upgraded to regular member since then after getting 50 points.

It is when you quote new members :(
I'm not sure if it's only then or not, I usually don't even pay attention to who is a new member or not. But I see it often in the last month or so.
