I have a question. I'm a bit of a new comer to MCC, I have only been using it for a few months. I love it!
Anyhow I noticed today when I was playing the game on my Husbands pc which doesn't have mcc that when I hover over sims, it displays their ages, I.e teens, young adult etc. On my machine with MCC installed I've noticed when I scroll over a sim the age doesn't display, I've been playing with MCC for so long I had forgotten the age should display.
The only mod I use is mcc, I don't use any cc and I've tried repairing the game and I have the latest version of mcc. Have I maybe changed something in the settings? (Most likely!) Is this a feature?

The only thing that comes to mind atm is the cheat headlineeffects on/off. When using off all headline effects like plumbobs, thought balloons, text information, etc. are turned off/hidden. But it's not yet possible to enable/disable this cheat within MCCC. You have to enter it manually in the cheat console. Do you use this cheat?

Thanks for the response!
I haven't used that cheat. It's a strange one. It's not a deal breaker, it's just unusual. Someone who uses it told me they had noticed it occasionally as well.

What happens if you take MCCC out?
If the problem is resolved by doing that, you could hunt down the tumbl. pages to see if there is a setting that might explain the issue: https://deaderpoolmc.tumblr.com/doc/overview
What happens if you put the mentioned cheat on headlineeffects on? Even though you haven't used it to begin with.
I have no idea what is causing this, I'm just thinking of suggestions that might help you.
You can try your luck over at discordapp. Maybe someone over there has an idea about what's going on.

When I take the mod out, the ages display fine. That's how I noticed it as I was a bit surprised at seeing it again. I had forgotten that EA had added the ages and it was a discussion about teens and how they looked identical to young adults that made me notice it had disappeared.
I will try turning headline effects on later. I've never touched the default.ini file.
If turning headline effects on and off doesn't solve it I will visit discord.
Feel free to let us know here if it works!

Just wondering if there is a mod where I can change my sims life span just like in sims 3 so I can choose how many days each life stage lives for. I'm finding that normal is too short and long is way to long! I want a happy Medium!

Or maybe reset your TS4 folder in My documents and install MCCC in this clean folder to see what happens (don't delete the old TS4 folder because of files/folders you might want to keep like saves, screens and so on). If you do that, don't forgot to enable the (script) mods within the game options. http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/user-files-explained/

@Itsug just looked in his game and he has not the same issue. So it seems it's not related to MCCC. That made me think of removing the cache files. Have you already tried that?

Quick response @MidnightAura. I was still editing my message a bit, refreshed the page and already new messages.
Hope it works for you. If you ever figure out what is causing this issue, I would like to know as well.
I started up my game and noticed the ages are back. I know they were definitely not there when I played last. I have deleted my cache files to be on the safe side anyhow and will just keep an eye on it. I love this mod and when I have to play without it I miss it so the idea Of not having it didn't bear thinking of! Thank you again!
@MidnightAura thank you for letting me know. Good it's resolved. The offer to join us over at discorapp is always open. We also have a general chat channel over there, if you ever feel like it. Anyway, you're welcome and happy Simming.

I will wander over at one point as it sounds interesting:-)
Hello!
I've posted in the bugs section thinking it was a problem with my game, but it actually seems to be a problem with this mod. I use a 2012 MacBook pro with retina display and when my sims paint from reference or take photos the paints would be blank and the photos would be black. I disabled the mod and both worked again. Is this a common problem with MC Command? Is there a workaround for it?

Could be an issue with graphics settings, though if the issue resolves when mod is disabled that's kind of weird. Any other MacBook players with that issue?

ACCEPTED SOLUTION
Hi, I solved the problem for me. I uncheck the retina display option in the settings and now I can take photos again. But this problem have never happened before the lastest update, but I hope they will fix this problem with the retina display
For MooseGoose the problem doesn't occur when MCCC is disabled and retina is displayed.
With MCCC installed, it works with the retina display option unchecked.
In the AHQ pages they mention problems tied to the retina display. That there is a bug in that somehow.
The problem seems to be with that and not with the mod.
In case players want to look further, you can try this Google search. It offers more ideas to this problem.

i have aging off. originally it was because my sims were aging to fast. now i'm waiting for the parenting pack.
I think I had deleted my cache files fairly recently, but I will try it again thanks!

MooseGoose has posted his question over at discordapp and based on our talk there, I give an update for mac users who encounter the same problem. In this topic I found a workaround: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/WORKAROUND-MAC-Black-photos/td-p/5660969
