@FoundMarbles I really like your outdoor living space and your Sims are so lucky to have such a large work area upstairs! Great idea to use the pond!
@withlovejulien Thank You!! When I first started the build I was really dubious about the off centered windows and the pastel blue seem the only one I could find furniture matches for, (+ Blues, whites and grays are real life favorites). I try to do builds I personally would be pleased to live in. I could never afford the life styles in the real world but its fun to imagine. In the non-virtual world I am an artist turned house painter. Thus my love of great studio space and a good industrial sink MATTERS, a lot! (To me, maybe not so much for the Hanson Sims )

@FoundMarbles I wonder how much people could find out about us by just looking at the trends in our builds! I love that your in-real-life careers influence your Sims builds!

@withlovejulien Wow! This is stunning! I can't imagine how many hours you had in this! This would have taken me months and wouldn't have looked half as nice. I am in awe of the landscaping.
Just in case you haven't seen it yet: The main magic things are pressing control+shift+c and then typing "bb.moveobjects" (without quotes) in the white box that appears in the upper left corner. And also "testingcheats on" and "bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement" to have access to career rewards and "bb.showhiddenobjects" to have access to things like ponds and fishing signs! It's all covered in the discussion. @JasonAnthonySterling has articles at http://simscommunity.info/author/jasonsterling/

Thank you for the cheat codes. I'll try to use them as I continue.

Wow! You can use ponds and fishing signs? I had no idea. Thank you!
@Liz_GoBucks , Welcome to this wonderful world of Sims! You will love it here, people are very helpful, friendly and we are a Troll Free Zone! As for the pond, I did nothing to change it! That pond is The Desert Pond and was created more shapely than the others.
(Something is wrong with you image links, the pictures are not showing and putting the link into the address bar did not bring up the pictures, either. The address for the slide show does work. Great modern build, there! Love the novel idea of the Basket Ball Court on the second story deck! INVENTIVE!!
"Starting Out": I purchased the Sims 4 Jan. 30 last and spent a month in confusion as to how to operate the building mode. AS of the last 2 challenges, I was forced through a steep learning curve. I found people did not want to say how they did things and most of my early questions went unanswered. I promise you this much: If I know the answer to a question I will happily tell all I know because I know being new at the building game can be very frustrating. I will keep no secrets!
Glad your here and I do hope you will enjoy it!

@FoundMarbles and @withlovejulien Thank you both for the shout out on my channel and articles! I'm really trying to get my house for this done but I'm caught up with the ship from my most recent Sims Community article and trying to get it to a point where it can be shared on the Gallery. I've got a lot of my house done for this challenge and let me tell you finding furniture that goes with pastel yellow is no easy feat-lol! Still, it's something different and I really like it and want to try and get it done. My fingers are crossed!
@JasonAnthonySterling Yes the yellow is definitely not an easy task at all. I wish you luck in finishing and myself for that matter as real life is constantly in the way of my play time hehe.
I've chosen to do a black/white theme with pinpoints of pastel color in a towel, a sink, a flower, etc. But considering that I started it this evening, I'm probably not going to finish it on time. I've got this thread bookmarked. Maybe I'll sneak in and try the next one too.
@JasonAnthonySterling & @MeaganJo , Color coordination even in Free builds can be a real challenge! I am constantly pressed to do tasteful decorating in many colors. reds are off from each other, as are blues and greens, lots of "whites" do not look white in the houses. Color matching and coordinating is my biggest challenge after gardening!

Hi there @Rawla and @Liz_GoBucks and welcome to the BuildnShare threads!!
@Liz_GoBucks - the media for your build looks, great, but you may want to add in some additional images of the other rooms in the house, as we do not download the homes and rely solely on the images you provide! I would also suggest that you do a top down view of each floor, so that we can see how you have laid out your wonderful creation
@Rawla - you've certainly given yourself a challenge with the time scale, your theme idea sounds great!! We hope to see what you come up with

ENTRY DETAILS: I chose a traditional suburban style home with a mainly neutral colour exterior. For the interior, I decided on mainly browns and neutrals with some pastel rooms like the bedrooms. The toddler and teen rooms are lavender based and the main bedroom is light blue. The kitchen also has some light blue accents on it.
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: Yes, please

ENTRY DETAILS: This 4 BD 2 1/2 Bath spacious, Country style home features pastel yellow using wall coloring and some furnishings. This home has a 3/4 wrap around porch, fully landscaped with an inviting backyard for your Sims entertainment needs. Enjoy meals in your eat in kitchen or take it on into the more formal dining room. Your Sims will enjoy starting their family in this sunny and comforting home.
