  For some reason when they cook a cake, they take it straight to the fridge, instead of sitting it on the counter or table like they always do. I have made very cake and none has the option to add candles or wedding topper.

  No. I'm baking a cake then my sim takes it to the fridge. I make her get it out of the fridge, and sit it on a counter, then I click it to add the candles but there is no option that says "add birthday candles" I hope that makes things a little clearer.

  Hello.
  Other simmers have been having issues with the birthday candles. There are a few things to try doing to see if helps.
  Move the cake to the fridge. Then manually move it out of the fridge, put it on a counter/table and see if the issues remain.
  Try putting the cake on different counters/tables/surfaces and in different positions on the surfaces and see if that helps. It can help if the cake is in the middle of the surface, not on the edge.
  Make sure that the cake is on its own on the table, with no build/buy mode items with it.
  Try a different variety of cake and see if that helps,

  Thanks @rosemow putting it in the fridge and taking it out then moving it from the counter to the table a few times helped

  Thank you. I was having this issue. The option will not show up if you put the cake on the bar. I had to put it on a counter.
