So, I've started this and I'm up to the 1900s (nearly) after about five months of starting it (don't know how y'all play so quickly) and I was just wondering what to do with my original Sim? Do I move her out if I don't want her or do I have to keep her until she dies?

idk about everyone else, but I'm doing it 2 sim days to a year so that by the time a child is ten (supposing they're born at the start of a decade) its the next decade. So, 20 days to a decade. v(0-0)v

you get it by fishing or gardening. I usually find it pretty easy by fishing in the lake in Oasis Springs! Hope that helps!

Hi scissorglade. "Roll Dice for cowplant" in the instructions just means that once you have a cowplant, you pick the Sim to 'live' or 'die'. You take one die and roll it. If the number rolled is odd the Sim dies (dies in war/fed to Cowplant) if the number rolled is even the Sim lives (comes back from war) and takes on one of the traits listed.

    Did that help?

I just started playing this challenge on my new YouTube channel! I did a bit of a rules update to make it a bit more immersive and to incorporate some of the newer packs. I also created a scoring spreadsheet that you can copy and use for yourself!

Link to revised rules (and spreadsheet): http://bit.ly/2yxyC68

I'm in 1892 right now, and we just had our first birth!

I've been doing this in the Sims 3 and i'm currently in the 1910's. So far i've had two girls and a boy so i've been preparing for WWI. I'm planning to send the boy to Scouting club, boarding school, and finally have him join the army career. I dont have cc so i cant get a cowplant any ideas of how i simulate death? Anyway this is a great challenge!

I'm going to give this a try soon!

I've been working on gathering CC for this, though right now I've just focused primarily on the first couple of generations. It's a struggle for sure, and most of my focus has been on clothing! I think what's making me struggle is just finding things that suit the specific era; and I'm no history major, lol. Like, fashion from 1890-1910 seems fairly similar, which I guess can be a good thing. I find it a little frustrating because I want to be able to differentiate better x_x I wish I could link what I have found for others.
Sims Resource is always my go-to, but I was very disappointed in the lack of options there. So for the most part I've been using historicalsimslife.blogspot. Her CC is gorgeous, though tailored more for the History challenge. She also has a few mesh links to a other relevant pieces!

I really love the aging and time passing system you have! I'm going to try to follow that along with most of those modifications~

Hi guys, I love this challenge. The idea is amazing. Has anyone acutally finished it?
I'm planning to do something similar. But I am going to change the setting, so it it's setting is in Europe/Germany.

I've only just started it, but I'm doing something similar with a European style setting. I've been using Windenburg, because it's perfect for it!

I finally found the time to get some CC for my challenge but along the way I found really good things that some of you guys might appreciate:

Practically almost all the things on History Lover's sims blog. You can find a lot of stuff in the Edwardian section of it and it really helps. It helps later on in the 1900s and for 1800s.
