Post your cas/build/buy ideas for eco living here!

TheSimerTheSimer Posts: 1,007 Member
Everyone is just talking about the gameplay object(s) and doesn't mention the actual stuff in the stuff pack.

I want everyone to share their ideas about the style the want for the pack that they desire.

Let us give them ideas for the artstyle before they present us the ones we can choose from in the next vote.

This thread is not for objects that include gameplay
This is the building style that i would like to see in the eco living pack

This is totally what I envision for Eco, along with some colorful options which I'll try to post later.

I can't post pics on my phone but I'd love some colorful and also muted black/gray batik designed clothing. Maybe some fringed sarongs for women and unisex V neck, long sleeve fringed shirts in batiks. That material is also used in quilting, so I could see some quilted bedspreads in funky colors and furniture as well.

I'd like it If they Included Traditional Ethnic Items, Like Japanese Sliding Screen Doors, or Futon Mattresses, or even those Dining Tables you have to sit on the floor to eat at (I've always found that lacking in the sims games I've played, at least on the Official stuff released by EA/Maxis in the Sims 3 and 4).

Okay, so let's start with fashion. I'm imagining something hippie/boho/renaissance. For women, I like the idea of more asymmetrical hemlines like hankerchief or trapeze. For men, I'm thinking like the style of Johnnie Depp or Russell Brand. (Except Russell Brand takes the whole "I haven't bathed in a month" a little too far.) Men's clothes should be relaxed, a little worn and slightly tattered. Like that old beat up T-shirt you love too much to throw away.

Next up is hair. I'm imagining flowing styles, kinda the beach/boho waves. But if you do any dreds, please don't make them technicolor. I have way too many townies running around looking like clowns as it is. I want natural, ethnic colors. Let the modders do the wild colors so I can ignore them lol.

Here are some suggestions for the Eco-Living furniture. I have two ideas in mind. This is the first. Pallet and crate furniture. Repurposing is very eco-friendly and can look great with many different styles: (Warning! Lots of pics!)

Hi for cas I know it may be early but I'd love to see a majority of new things for toddlers! I love playing my toddler families but it seems like they are all the same toddler. Since Eco living could have mainly family ties around it you should progress more of the toddlers I would really appreciate more cute objects, hair, clothing and interactions!

The second furniture style I have in mind for Eco-Living would be nature-inspired. Greens, browns, with pops of color. This could range from autumnal tones to more springtime. Some of it could be whimsical, others more zen-like. I like the idea of a chiminea fireplace - I don't think we've ever had one quite like that. Raw live edge wood counters and tables. Maybe some sleek, stone work.

Eco-Living for toddlers and/or kids. Hairstyles and clothing. Still follows that boho chic/hippie vibe but kids can be a little more fun and whimsical in their styles.

I would like a contemporary style for Eco Living since I think it suits best. Other than the new gameplay objects, we could get new fridges, microwaves, and other appliances/electronics, and also some new plants.
  • SageRainWillowSageRainWillow Posts: 2,221 Member
Living walls and vertical gardens. Living walls are used for the exterior walls of a home. The plants use the sun's rays and reflect the heat from the home. This provides energy savings to the homeowner while creating a wonderful look. Living walls in the interior of the house filter and clean the air naturally. High tech homes might even filter used water leaving the house and divert it to the living walls instead. Hydroponic vertical herb gardens are an excellent addition to kitchens. Fresh herbs are at the end of your fingertips whenever you need them.

I think it would be nice to have a lot more patterns for both adult and children clothing. Long shawls and sun hats and more items inspired by nature would also be a nice touch. For building, different rugs a lot of wood/rustic themed furniture. Also those small storage cubes that could follow the length of a stair. I would post a link to show what I mean but I haven't been around on the forums much. :/ Different types of flower pots and the ability to make daisy chains.

    -Bunk beds
-Notepads for sims to write without using the computer (I need this, seriously!)
-Replacements for technology such as more options for cooking over an open fire (firepit)
-Sewing machine for those sims who prefer to make their own clothing and other soft furnishings.
-Ladders instead of stairs, and spiral staircases
-Hen house so Sims can have eggs
-Hair accessories such as headbands and flowers
    -Scarves as accessories
-Layerable outerwear. I've been dreaming of this since before Sims 3 Seasons and I'd love to have a sim put a coat on over their everyday sweatshirt and trousers when they go outside, then take it off when they come indoors. The same with hats and shoes (and scarves, if we get them!) Most people don't wear everyday shoes in their own homes.
Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven.

I want pajamas instead of everyday clothes, we haven't ever had a pack for pjs, plus it makes sense since people usually wear pj's during laundry day! That and more hippie clothes.

I wanted this to win, but not so much for an eco look, but for stuff like solar and Wind energy to help lower bills. A more expencive toilet that conserves water. Making a non toxic insecticide with the herbalism skill, getting a happy moodlet when you eat localy produced food. I want it to be about the things oure sims can do combat climate in their World, and prevent a simapocalyps, not just look like they are trying to, then EA should scrap the eco label all thogether.
