@lisasc360 , I know, the people who tote around macaws on their shoulders are nuts, I don't care how tame they are birds get scared and your ear could be a faint memory in an instant!! Little guys cockatiels, quakers, senegals...they're fine but bigger is begging for it.
@Charlottesmom, Granted that my little birdie does get into one of her moods and has attacked either my ear, my shoulder or my hair but at least she has never drawn blood from those places. And why she attacks my hair, I have no idea...lol I do like looking at the bigger birds but I refuse to go any where near them for the fear of them biting me. I have seen a macaw bite the store owner of a local pet shop that is no longer open. Their beck just scare me enough to not want to get close enough to them. I read things about not even letting the type of bird that I have on the shoulder for the fact that they might bite at the eyes and do them harm but she hasn't yet done anything like that. Sometimes when she does either peck at my hand or make an attempt to bite me, she will say "no no no" afterwards and then attempts to peck at my hand or whatever she's trying to get to...lol
@lisasc360 Sims 4 players who bash Sims 3 feel the need to because subconsciously they understand the game is a step back, but still feel the need to have their opinion of it being good validated by having everyone else feel the same way. People do this with a number of things. It has always been best to ignore them so they learn on their own that they can enjoy the game without everyone enjoying it.

I so agree with this. Sure there are players who much prefer to play TS4 while there are others that play both and love both just the same. Then there are some that play both but they are still disappointed in TS4 for the lack of stuff from the base game and things that haven't yet been added that they think should had already been added by now. I myself haven't even made the attempt to the TS4 demo when it's out as I have no desire to even try it. So I can't really say that I hate or like the game. What I can say when I see pictures of TS4 is that there is some that look really good whereas there are some that I don't like. Take for an example a picture of a sim or item where the player has clicked on them and it has the white outline around the sim or the item, the first thing that comes to mind upon seeing that is the old colorforms sets and I feel like just peeling that sim off of the page and move it somewhere else.
And thank you... Those pictures where taken a few years ago before my harddrive had died on me. So I really should try to go and build my SimsMart again as I had fun watching the Sims when I had played in the smaller store...

When Elis got electrocuted twice in one day fixing the stereo, he rolled the wish to up his handiness skill and that gave me a good chuckle because it reminded me of one time I killed a surrogate mother in one of my early games that was driving me insane. She broke the hottub and I had her fix it without mopping the water first. She got zapped of course but rolled a wish to up her handiness skill ... granted! I let her try again Just as she died she rolled a wish for a new hottub LOL

So now that I'm back playing in SV I have to be careful to avoid Error 12s. It happened before when I was doing the makeovers and then going into buy mode a lot to set up the poses. Normal play is usually fine unless I play for a seriously long time.
I bulldozed the old house that Sun used to live in. I had made it probably a couple of years ago. I replaced it with a house I had found in Moonlight Falls. It's got 4 bedrooms and bathrooms so it actually seems bigger on the inside. Perfect for the big family I'm hoping Saville and Sun have. I added some kid stuff in the backyard so Kara and Spencer can visit anytime.
It's the last day of summer so I thought why not, and let them all have an ice cream. Just after I took this Spencer dropped her ice cream.
It was a Saturday so I let them visit their cousin Henry and his wife Alisha as they live just around the corner. I spent a short time doing their house up as it was really tiny. I put a trampoline in the back which the girls are enjoying.
The girls met Sophia, Henry and Alisha's daughter. She's a bit of a diva but seems nice. They enjoyed playing a game of tag. Hopefully they can grow up all best friends.
Saville and Henry try to impress each other with their ball skills. I was the one impressed in the end. Somehow Saville has around 8 athletic points without me realising.
Inside, all the adults are catching up. Sun is meeting these people for the first time. I think I need to download Retuner or something because the autonomous Berate Ignorance action is driving me crazy. Her and Emiko still don't get along because they keep doing it to each other
When it got late they all left to have dinner at the coffeehouse. Philla wandered off to the family cemetery and mourned her mother
So it looks like my SSDs just decided to corrupt some files randomly. I had to restart everything. My files are here, but sadly I'll need to reinstall everything.

I've read all the posts, and will comment a little later. Last night I spent a lot of time playing Mysterious Island. Mostly I did building and decorating, but I also made progress with a couple of the ghosts. I'll post more detailed updates later, but here are some outtakes.

So, like others here, I thought selling minor pets might help.
I don't think Trevor has the magic touch yet with befriending animals! I had him do the Watch action 4 times. Trevor: Aren't you the handsome fellow!
Then I had Trevor try to befriend the crow. It bit him! Trevor: Oww! Why you! I otta ... !!
The crow just laughed and flew away before Trevor could inflict revenge!
Guy got a wild hair to pet a raccoon he'd never interacted with before. He soon regretted that choice!
So two of my boys were suffering from the bit finger moodlet.
There have been no angry bees though. The gentlemen harvested their first honey last night. Notice Bradley the Daredevil in his swimwear.
Trevor had better luck with Grizelda later that night. She didn't bite!
And Bradley had even more success with Lotta.
The other boys had to content themselves with the company of their Bros.
I bought them a small TV so they could socialize while increasing cooking skills.

Guy wanted to pillow fight with Chris. I sense some desperation here.
In the meantime, the castle was really beginning to look like a frat house. The place was a mess! I couldn't keep up with it.
On top of everything, the men have opened up several bottles of nectar, and nectar trays are everywhere.
A few of the guys got wishes to buy a Bonehilda. Granted.
I was tired of seeing dirty dishes and clogged up toilets.
The whole castle needed cleaning.
Bonehilda has another useful role too. Aaron's ghost girl didn't show up, so he chatted with Bonehilda. Poor lad, from ghost to skeleton.

Alright, almost all of my applications and launchers are installed and ready to go. Origin is presently reinstalling Sims 3 and all of its expansions for me. Good news is my files are 100% intact so nothing was lost. Only issue now is having to reinstall the games. Thankfully, Sims 3 doesn't take too terribly long.
Oh my friends...today has just been too crazy busy for me to keep up with the thread. But I've read every single major update and given out Likes and Awesomes. Truly, you all are amazing and so creative!

Stoopid mid-life crisis! Jensen wanted to become more muscular - heck the man maxed his athletic skill long ago! He doesn't need any extra work to look good
Then he rolled a wish to either cut or colour his hair! No way was I going to change his hairstyle since he aged up with the right hair and that would be just asking for his next age up to give me pigtails! I didn't keep this darker hair because I think it made him look older.

@TadOlson , But I made the rules and the rules say microwave when you start, fridge can wait, though if you want to try and squish a fridge in too in that is fine....though very difficult (because you need the microwave). If you can afford the $4,000 laptop, and want it you can get it. You have to put family funds down to only $500.00 (or less) before you start anyways so buy as much as you can, though you only have the money that you get with a new CAS Sim....no motherlodes or kachings!
I made a few more renovations to the castle. I added another room to the back of the lot, connecting it to the guard tower.
Right now, it's just an extra bedroom. The guys were excited. They should be, I spent a bunch of their funds to build it!
Bradley has the honors of bed ownership because he got along the best with his ghost lady. I'm glad he's dreaming of fishing because he's going to need that skill. They all are!
I also knocked out a couple of walls and made the dais smaller to open up more space in the throne room. I let the men have a small wall TV.
I also bought a second fridge and put it in the throne room by the fireplace. Sending the guys all downstairs to get leftovers was too much of a chore! Now some can eat at the upstairs table.
In the basement, I reconfigured the extra study/bedroom and bath in order to widen the hall leading to the back door. I also removed the secret door now that they'd found it and replaced it with a regular door to the yard. I bought a laptop for the desk.

The new lot is designated a hangout and is near the cemetery. I had room to add an extra outbuilding and other items, including a Harvest Cart.
I took out the registers because I don't want townies showing up. I put down Savvy Seller rugs (no register), added a dart board, a computer, and public speakers. I mainly wanted the alchemy station and gem cutting machine--and the spawners and plants.
The upstairs in this build has an awesome garden area. I didn't do a lot of changes here. Put up a TV and set down more Savvy Seller rugs.
I did take out the pro bar. I replaced it with the bakery oven and a fridge for a snack area.

The outhouse only had a toilet. I decided that the gardens required a shower somewhere, so I installed an outdoor version. I don't know why Steven is wearing his jeans instead of a swimsuit. Maybe that's his swimwear. I didn't check!
I had room for the chickens and more bees. I also placed the harvest consignment cart out here so the men could still sell some things or buy items. (You can barely see it in this shot.) I also put in a sink by the outhouse. One of the guys, maybe two, has the Neat trait.
I added the glass blowing forge and the toy machine inside the extra building. The gentlemen can sell the things they make through their inventory. Daryl earned a nice sum on the blocks table he made.
I did let them keep this dancing gnome glass figure though. I liked it!
The restore decided it'd be fun to create a windows.old file that is over 20 GB large in my smaller SSD, so now I have to move it to my bigger one before installing The Sims 3.
I also had to make a copy of my documents so it didn't overwrite it just ugh. This is a pain, but hopefully I'll be able to get thing back in working order by the end of today.
@Mikezumi , Jensen must be driving you batty! OMG...is that a wrinkle...do I look fat, I need to buff up or my husband will leave me!! I can hear it now!

On top of everything, the men have opened up several bottles of nectar, and nectar trays are everywhere.
A few of the guys got wishes to buy a Bonehilda. Granted.
I was tired of seeing dirty dishes and clogged up toilets.
The whole castle needed cleaning.
Bonehilda has another useful role too. Aaron's ghost girl didn't show up, so he chatted with Bonehilda. Poor lad, from ghost to skeleton.

If you want your sim to fight a shark have fish and steak in their inventory and get them to watch the shark. Eventually one will attack.

@ZhakiraP -I've got a 100 baby challenge that's moving along very slowly myself because the town is still getting new settlers arriving though not every year.
@Karritz -It sounds like Windows crashed on you and that caused your computer to freeze.I've had that happen before and have had to reset the computer.
@Simsophonique -I've got drama in my legacies from them having to sturggle through tough challenges like droughts,bad storms hard winters and unusual weather patterns.

@PalmArrow -That sounds like what started in an old Sunset Valley save of mine after Claire Ursine died and the social worker took her baby away.That's how the corruption started in that save and it got worse because I had adult careers assigned to toddlers and children after that save started getting corrupted.It sounds like the social worker's been very busy taking children away in that save.Great update!
@Charlottesmom -Great update!I use fridges and would give them the cheapest laptops though I'd skip the microwave until the house got bigger.

Stoopid mid-life crisis! Jensen wanted to become more muscular - heck the man maxed his athletic skill long ago! He doesn't need any extra work to look good
Then he rolled a wish to either cut or colour his hair! No way was I going to change his hairstyle since he aged up with the right hair and that would be just asking for his next age up to give me pigtails! I didn't keep this darker hair because I think it made him look older.

Castle Renovations and an Alchemy Guild
I made a few more renovations to the castle. I added another room to the back of the lot, connecting it to the guard tower.
Right now, it's just an extra bedroom. The guys were excited. They should be, I spent a bunch of their funds to build it!
Bradley has the honors of bed ownership because he got along the best with his ghost lady. I'm glad he's dreaming of fishing because he's going to need that skill. They all are!
I also knocked out a couple of walls and made the dais smaller to open up more space in the throne room. I let the men have a small wall TV.
I also bought a second fridge and put it in the throne room by the fireplace. Sending the guys all downstairs to get leftovers was too much of a chore! Now some can eat at the upstairs table.
In the basement, I reconfigured the extra study/bedroom and bath in order to widen the hall leading to the back door. I also removed the secret door now that they'd found it and replaced it with a regular door to the yard. I bought a laptop for the desk.

I downloaded the Arcane Institute and Mages Guild Elixir Store from MTS, but I made some changes to it for my purposes in Mysterious Island.
The new lot is designated a hangout and is near the cemetery. I had room to add an extra outbuilding and other items, including a Harvest Cart.
I took out the registers because I don't want townies showing up. I put down Savvy Seller rugs (no register), added a dart board, a computer, and public speakers. I mainly wanted the alchemy station and gem cutting machine--and the spawners and plants.
The upstairs in this build has an awesome garden area. I didn't do a lot of changes here. Put up a TV and set down more Savvy Seller rugs.
I did take out the pro bar. I replaced it with the bakery oven and a fridge for a snack area.

The outhouse only had a toilet. I decided that the gardens required a shower somewhere, so I installed an outdoor version. I don't know why Steven is wearing his jeans instead of a swimsuit. Maybe that's his swimwear. I didn't check!
I had room for the chickens and more bees. I also placed the harvest consignment cart out here so the men could still sell some things or buy items. (You can barely see it in this shot.) I also put in a sink by the outhouse. One of the guys, maybe two, has the Neat trait.
I added the glass blowing forge and the toy machine inside the extra building. The gentlemen can sell the things they make through their inventory. Daryl earned a nice sum on the blocks table he made.
I did let them keep this dancing gnome glass figure though. I liked it!
The restore decided it'd be fun to create a windows.old file that is over 20 GB large in my smaller SSD, so now I have to move it to my bigger one before installing The Sims 3.
I also had to make a copy of my documents so it didn't overwrite it just ugh. This is a pain, but hopefully I'll be able to get thing back in working order by the end of today.
