  Hello!
  You need something like 30 or 50 points in order to become a member. And to get those all you have to do is just keep posting things on here.

  You also get points from people clicking Insightful/Like/Awesome.
  
  You might want to check out the Off Topic section of the forum. There's an Introduce Yourself post and lots of games that will help generate you points. Welcome to the forum!

  Not as much as you think. Accumulating the points that you need in order to become a member here might come very quickly. It all depends on how much time that you spend posting on here. And as 3KNPen as stated above, you also get points by others clicking on insights/like/awesome. Caution on that: don't go asking others to do that on your discussions and comments that you post on here. That is frowned upon here. You will get points on the anniversary of the day that you signed up here.

  @luminaria, it's because they had the profile picture before EA changed the requirements for the forums back in 2014 due to some users posting nasty and unwanted pictures.
