Renaming Babies

One of my sim familys had a baby while i was playing a diffrent household and they named the kid a random name. I sthere anywhy to rename it without going into cas because it wont work with babies. Thanks

The only way, without downloading mods, is waiting until the baby ages into a child and using the CAS cheat.

i had kind of the same problem, but if you dont wanna use a mod then wait untill the baby is a child and use a cheat (cant remember which one for now)

The cheat is cas.fulleditmode - and you may need Testingcheats enabled for that. (you can turn it off once you're done)

You don't have to turn it off when you're done. At least I don't. In my game once I've used the cheat and returned the family to the game via selecting the check mark, I can't just right click on another Sim and go back into cas.fulleditmode without re-entering the testingcheats true in the cheat window again.

Seems to be working still with game version V1.27 (Feb 2017 post Vampire GP). I didn't do any testing. I just added the mod, did the rename and removed the mod before playing again.

Wait until it becomes a child then open cheats bar and enter testingcheats on then enter Cas.fulleditmode then shift click your child and click modify in CAS and edit the name

You don't need to enter Full Edit Mode. Names can be changed via the regular CAS option by clicking on a mirror or dresser and then clicking on the name bar. It can be done from toddlers on up but not with babies.
