I really loved Making Magic. The spells really changed the world around you and there were plenty of different options. The world included was pretty fun too.
Superstar was also a favorite. You really felt your sim was a star with all the tourists stopping by to take photos of your home and the crazy stalker and whatnot. Also the minigames were super fun and silly.
Also, remember how Drew Carey would sometimes show up at your party? It was so random and hilarious.
I also liked the voodoo lady that could read your palm and cure your zombie sim if I'm not mistaken.
Mrs Crumplebottom!! She was so funny!
The burglar NPC even though I hated him lol
How the maid NPC would freak out of she saw Bonehilda haha
That stupid hamster that killed your sims. My sims always ended up dying no matter how well they washed their hands lol
I miss the cheeky slightly risqué humor of TS1 and some of the absurdity it had. From TS2 - I miss the REAL NPC characters, and the gritty consequences mixed with absurd humor. From TS3...eh, the ability to swim in world water?

Pets.
Edit: Ah, I thought you meant the whole of the series, not just TS1.
But what I miss most about that game in particular was the slightly adult aspects. It felt a little more cheeky and risque in some areas. As the series has developed, it's become more 'family friendly' and some of the satirical elements have been lost too.
i totally forgot about the likes/dislikes and so on. that would be great! it would also add more to the "get to know" option. also, i was just talking about create-a-style yesterday. where you could create your own outfit and save it right? that would be great!
