Glitch After Toddlers - Men in Legacy only having female voices?

Hi all!

With the toddlers finally in the game, it has inspired me to start doing my legacies again. The toddlers are adorable! My only complaint is - and I've googled it and found an EA ticket but it seems like not that many people are having this issue last time I checked? - my male sims always grow up with female voices. From toddlers to adults, they have feminine voices.

I found it interesting to either make my eldest gay or transgendered, and finally decided to go under the "knife" and have a sex change for my eldest son. It'd be an interesting part of the legacy - but then with my second son, the same exact thing is happening and he is a teen male.

Anyone know of any ideas to get it fixed? Should I use origin to "fix my game" or whatever it is that you can do on there? All my CC was automatically disabled when the update rolled out, so none of it is on and i've been afraid to turn it back on as it might 🐸🐸🐸🐸 my game up even more.

Any ideas would be great! Thanks for reading!

I think it's a bug because it happens to townies as well. might have to wait for a patch..

I'm having this bug too. It doesn't help the game overall but you can go into casfulledit and change the voices of at least your legacy sims if you want to.

Yeah, I noticed it when my teenager sim started to flirt with this guy I wanted her to be with.

For a second, I thought she was going to end up with a girlfriend but nope! The little notification said boyfriend, so his voice is just off.

I had this problem with the townie that my Sim married -- his voice was higher pitched than hers. You don't have to use the fulleditmode cheat, though. Just click on the mirror and pick "Change Sim" instead of "plan outfits." You'll be able to adjust the voice then.

Yeah I'm having this issue as well, and i don't want to just go into every family and change their voice thats too much of a 🐸🐸🐸🐸 hassle, why can't we get a fix on this....

There may be a fix in the upcoming patch .

I waited for the February patch a couple of days ago, but it didn't "cure" my teenage boy. So I had to type in cheat codes: testingcheats on, and cas.fulleditmode. I was able to change his voice by first making him female and next making him male again.

The issue wasn't fixed in the latest patch. You need to still do the workaround of typing in cas.fulleditmode and editing the sim in CAS.

I was just agreeing with you , that there wasn't a fix in the patch for the issue and simmers still need to use the workaround

Sims in your active household can be fixed by using the dresser or wardrobe to 'Change Sim'. This will pull the entire active household into CAS and allow voices to be adjusted.

It wasn't enough in my game. No matter how much I adjusted, the teenage boy still had a female voice. I really had to use the cheat codes and make him female and back to male, before he had a male voice. Just saying.

I don't know if I will have this problem. I haven't let my toddlers age up, yet. But I do know the game generates (while in CAS) females with male voices. You have to change that while in CAS. I know it's not the problem here, but I was sort of puzzled why it's doing that if filters are left in place. Click random Sim to start building a Sim and you will find some have a male voice, since they changed the voices to include all voices like they did some hairstyles and clothes outside the filters.

I have the same thing, my lad just grew into a teen. he has a female voice, But that's not all, I took him into cas to plan outfit and found the game chose this for his swimwear

so I think the game is having trouble sorting out that He is a boy and not a girl. all his other clothes were from the male clothes.
so how can I change his voice please.

You can select " change sim" on a mirror or dresser and take him into cas to change his voice.
