On the subject of strange pregnancies, and staying with Norse mythology, Loki's father Fárbauti, got Loki's mother Laufey pregnant by firing a lightning bolt at her.
Now I'm picturing some kind of elemental being added in seasons. Your sims conceive them when struck by lightning.
Eh, weirder things have happened. For example, I once defied gravity and fell up a flight of stairs. (I didn't get pregnant from it though.)
Is it okay to say this means vampires could R*** another sim?
I highly doubt that considering they're not actually doing any woohoo... I think it's like spider bite that instead of making you spiderman, you end up pregnant with spiderman
I just read on Mod the Sims in the comment section for MC Command Center that Deaderpool found indications that Sims might be able to be attacked by vampire bats, resulting in pregnancy. Here's a quote:
"...apparently you can become pregnant with a vampire baby by being attacked by vampire bats...sorta like Alien Abduction except with vampires."

I haven't looked at the actual post but could it be that a pregnant sim who is attacked by a bat has a chance of their offspring turning into a vampire instead of of bat impregnating a sim?

That would make so much more sense but I doubt it..at least not while they're pregnant but maybe before?
Like if you "try for baby" after the attack, you'll have a vampire baby
None of this means I like love this game any less, or that I'm not completely excited for the vampire game pack. Woosah and a glass of wine, guys.
@PrincessVee That it's a game is quite clear, thank you, but it's offensive to me. While I wasn't talking about them, the alien abductions are just as well.
@Candyd I think you may have missed the point of my objection... I'm not talking about anything but what I'm talking about. Just stating my opinion of the OP to the OP. That's allowed, right? Right.
@kwanzaabot My knowledge of vampire lore isn't perfect, but aren't they self aware as bats? I didn't know bat instincts came with the transformation. Thanks for letting me know, I guess?
Hmm. I think it fills a certain need. That you can have an vampire in your household without becoming friends with one and asking to be bitten. This would make it possible to have vampirism "occur" in your household as a surprise or a curse depending where you want to take the story.
As long as it is for both male and female sims and I can use the reset-sim-cheat it is fine with me.

Omgsh if this is true then they really went all out on this one didn't they
I'm a much bigger fan of this kind of sims silly than I am with the talking toilet (even though I probably won't be buying this pack just because I'm not into vamps)
Family player we got toddlers...my life is complete 1/12/17 best. day. ever. My Plum Family Tree
I think it's far more likely that if an already pregnant sim is bitten by a bat, the baby might turn vamp.
Yeah. Either that, or a normal (not pregnant) Sim has a chance to turn into a vampire from a bat swarm attack.
But pregnancy from being bitten by bats? Nah, I don't believe it before I'm getting evidence by the devs.
@PapayaSky Personally I'm not too fond of the pregnancy by alien abduction either. I use MC Command Center to turn it off. Hopefully I'll be able to do the same with this if it turns out to be true. I might go for it once just to see what happens, but I don't think it's something I would want in my game all the time.
Not sure where I read it, but I think I heard something about the devs hinting about adding the ability of garlic maybe to ward off vampires. Might work for the bats as well. Maybe if the Sim has some in their inventory they won't be bothered.
Wait a minute a guru said sims won't get pregnant by vampires without you causing it. Going with the gurus on this.
I was thinking that too, until I remembered they said there was going to be a new lot trait that attracted vampires to your lot. Found this at SimsVIP:
"Vampire Nexus – A dark void envelopes this lot in the upside down. Vampires are more likely to visit the area."
So I guess that could be considered player initiated.

Came for title, stayed for Greek and Norse mythology.
Hmm I didn't know that but it s confirmed two vampire bats can woohoo and try for a baby.
