Hello @neenahhh :) I have posted to you on another thread but just wanted to say happy simming to you here !
Seasons and Generations are great sims 3eps! It is very nice having the changing weather and seasons in the game. and the accompanying enjoyable and fun seasonal activities! The money cheats are very helpful when starting playing a new game or a new household. The moo cheat is very helpful when building also.
It is fun and enjoyable making simversions of our family, friends and celebrities or famous characters! It is then nice placing them into the sims world for our sims to talk to and visit.
It is great that you bought Sims 4 with the Black Friday sales. The sales had great discounted prices of the game and packs!
    Happy simming! :)

@rosemow Thank you very much, Rose! <3 I've been seeing MOO everywhere but I don't really understand it and never used it. Does it allow you to move objects literally anywhere? :open_mouth:

And yes, I'm very glad I managed to save a lot when buying TS4. Haha, which do you enjoy playing more, TS3 or TS4? :)

    1. What is your favorite EP/SP and why? Showtime atm

    2. What is your favorite thing about the game? The creativity. I love being able to express my creative side while also making new friends and new experiences.

    3. Do you play with cheats? If so, which ones? I only use mods. Master Controller is my favorite.

    4. Do you have any tips/tricks you'd like to share? Making a plan as to how you want to start a game helps keep things tidy. Also, playing with rules and challenges is fun for those of us who have been playing for a long time and want to spice things up a bit. I recommend the "no cheats" rule, you have to play with need decay on and no money cheats, etc. But I still like to use mods with that rule.

    5. Did you buy the Sims 4? If so, what are your favorite and least favorite things? I have not purchased the game, and I don't plan on it anytime soon, but my favorite part from the demo was the fact that you can breastfeed infants and that there are more interactions for teens. My least favorite part was the graphics quality. If you have the settings low it doesn't look anything like the ads or let's play's, it look pretty awful.

Hello @Katbagal :) It is nice to meet you. Welcome to the forums!
Showtime is a great Sims 3 EP! It is enjoyable seeing our sims performing in the different types of venues, and having them work through the different showtime careers.
Master Controller is a very helpful mod !
Playing Challenges is a great part of simming! It encourages us to play the game in new ways, and by following rules, we discover new approaches to doing and achieving things.
    Happy simming! :)

I'm kind of new to the forums, (I've been on here since April but I've never posted), and I thought I would answer some of the questions on here! =D

    1. What is your favorite EP/SP and why?
My favorite EP, (I'll say that of The Sims 4 since it's the only Sims game I've played), is City Living, since I've always wanted a big city and some apartment in the game!

    2. What is your favorite thing about the game?
My favorite thing about the game is being able to create any kind of story line you want. Since I love to write stories this is a big game-changer for me! =D

    3. Do you play with cheats? If so, which ones?
I only play with build cheats, such as bb.moveobjects. Other than that not really.

    4. Do you have any tips/tricks you'd like to share?
Whenever I try to build I use inspirations from houses/buildings around my area, as well as images/blueprints online!

    5. Did you buy The Sims 4? If so, what are your favorite and least favorite things?
I did buy The Sims 4, (it's the only Sims game I have), and my favorite thing about it is the graphics of the game, (in my opinion it's way better than any of the other games). My least favorite things are no toddlers, (I don't mean to be super problematic, I just have never experienced them before, and it would be cool to). I also dislike all of the loading screens while traveling.

Hello @xDJx_YT :) I have posted to you on the other thread, but just wanted to say " Happy simming" again!
City Living is a great Ep! It is nice having our sims living in apartments, and it is enjoyable visiting the different festivals in the game. It is fun looking for and finding snow globes to complete the snowglobe collection!
Moo is a very helpful cheat to use when building! It allows us to express our creativity in many various creative ways.
When you are a full member, you may like to post any sims stories that you write and take photos of, on a thread in the " Sims 4 Stories and Legacies" section of the forums.
    Happy New simming year :)

Hi there! I've been playing The Sims games since I was super small, but I've just recently gotten into The Sims 3. I was skeptical at first, but now I don't remember how I survived without open world and story progression. I am way too lazy for the old one-at-a-time Sims 2 style of simming. :D

    1. What is your favorite EP/SP and why?

Ooh, this is a hard one. I recently just got a bunch of expansions on sale, and I'm in love with all of them. This is subject to change, but I think I'll have to say Supernatural. I love getting to play with fairies and vampires and all that. It keeps the game super interesting!

    2. What is your favorite thing about the game?

I just really like how immersive it is. Whenever I'm not feeling well or I just need a break from everyday life, The Sims is super nice because it takes up a lot of time and thought I would probably otherwise use to mope about my problems. I always feel more motivated to do productive things after I've been able to chill out and play TS3 for awhile.

    3. Do you play with cheats? If so, which ones?

I have a problem with cheats. I'm trying to quit. I got so used to using boolprop in TS2, it got to a point where the game wasn't fun without it. My addiction has since transferred over to TS3. I mostly just use testingcheatsenabled (because they got rid of boolprop apparently? that iconic, gameplay-defining boolprop? EAxis, I am dissapoint :( ), but more often I use certain aspects of Nraas MasterController more liberally than they are meant to be, such as editing certain sims from my town in CAS and changing their traits as well as their outfits, or erasing celebrity points from celebrities that I deem undeserving of celebrity status. I'm supposed to be doing a cheat-free legacy, but so far I am failing on the "cheat-free" front. I'm trying to improve, promise! :D

    4. Do you have any tips/tricks you'd like to share?

All of Twallan's mods on nraas are super amazing and I totally recommend them for TS3. Mods in general make the game so much fun for me; it's extra content or gameplay abilities that you can add or delete whenever you like. If you don't have money for a new expansion, there's tons of free Sims content on the internet at any given point! EA can be irritating at times, but this community never fails to impress me.

    5. Did you buy the Sims 4? If so, what are your favorite and least favorite things?

I did the free trial and made a sim. I'm kind of a CAS addict, so that part was really fun, but as soon as I moved her into the house, I was instantly disappointed. I always forget how bland the basegames always are when they first come out. There wasn't much for her to do other than talk to her neighbors or go to community lots. If I wanted an experience like that, I could just load TS2 Ultimate and get more or less the same thing with slightly worse graphics but way more content. I really like watching Dan and Phil's let's play series of TS4 on YouTube, but I've realized through that series that TS4 is very minigame-based, which isn't really what I look for in Sims games.

I'm excited to meet all you simmers on here! Thanks for reading! <3

Hello @fairyheads :) It is nice to meet you. Welcome to the forums!
It is great that you were able to recently but eps whilst they were on sale. Eps add many fun and enjoyable activities and features to the game! Your sims will enjoy living in and exploring the new worlds and visiting the new venues that come with the packs!
Simming is a great way of allowing us a break from real life and all that our lives are holding. It can help when we are unwell. It doesn't take away the pain, but helps us to focus our minds on other things. It is fun also!
I hope that your legacy goes well. It is special seeing each new generation of children, and their interactions with siblings, parents and grandparents.
    Happy simming! :)

    2. What is your favorite thing about the game?

Hmmm...probably the different life states..allthough I usually end up playing with genies!

    3. Do you play with cheats? If so, which ones?

    Money cheats mostly.

    4. Do you have any tips/tricks you'd like to share?

    Not really...

    5) Did you buy the sims 4?

No, I am still happy with Sims 3!

It is great that you purchased Sims 3 last year and have nearly all of the eps! You would be enjoying having your sims doing a variety of activities associated with the eps. The DD thread is very helpful! I hope that you are able to purchase the store items that you would like to buy at a good price!
University Life is a great pack! The university world is very scenic. It is nice seeing our sims studying for their degree, as well as them enjoying attending parties there and socialising with fellow students.
    Happy simming! :)

Hello. New to the boards, but definitely not to the Sims. I've played since the Original was a shiny new thing. I have both 3 and 4, but currently only play 4 because I've been too lazy to reinstall all my 3 stuff onto the lappy. Anyway, I guess I'll do the question and answer thing now.

    1. What is your favorite EP/SP and why?

For 3 it's probably a tie between Pets and Seasons. I just really like what they add to the look and feel of game play and my Sims being able to have pets.

For 3 it's Get to Work because I like what it adds to game play and getting to actually go to work with some of my Sims is kinda cool.

    2. What is your favorite thing about the game?

It's relaxing and visually stimulating and has goals that don't involving going around violently killing/maiming/destroying poor little pixel people.

    3. Do you play with cheats? If so, which ones?

Occasionally I use cheats. Simoleons cheats are basically the only ones I've ever really use, though I've had to use Sim reset cheats a few times due to glitches.

    4. Do you have any tips/tricks you'd like to share?

I'm kind of a boring, straight up player so I can't of anything that'd I'd have to share on that topic at the moment.

    5. Did you buy the Sims 4? If so, what are your favorite and least favorite things?

I kind of covered that already, but yes. I miss the open worldness of 3, but I LOVE how quickly and smoothly 4 loads and runs. 3 could be a nightmare of load times and random crashes.

I guess that does it for this post. I'm off now to see what other words I can put on the screen now, try and get that member status and all that. -waves-
Yes, I like and enjoy Sims 4. The world will not end because of this. Get over it.

Hello @SuzieSocks :) It is nice to meet you. Welcome to the forums!
It is nice that you have been playing The Sims since the original Sims 1. You would have enjoyed spending many fun and enjoyable hours simming and creating and playing your sims households over the years!
GTW is a great sims 4 Ep! It is enjoyable actively going to the career lots with our sims, as well as it is fun selling items in retail shops!
Cheats are often very helpful when issues occur. The moo cheat is also very helpful when building,to express our creativity.

Hi Everyone! My name is LadyAqualyne. I have never been on the forums before. I stuck to outside forums where I knew contests were going on lol. I have been playing The Sims since The Sims 2. Out of all of them though I do have to say The Sims 3 was my favorite and I was obsessed with Seasons and World Adventures and Showtime (Mostly for the stardom and I could make my celebrities... celebrities). They were my three favorites.

I do play with cheats, though mostly money, moveobjects, maybe a mood booster if I have something crazy planned like long dates or whatever where I plan to take pictures. Now I tend to go overboard on contests so mood boosting is a must. I remember on Sims 3 I did a contest with a fantasy Sim and poor thing had to stand out in the snow forever with fire in front of her until I got my shot LMAO. It took about 3 hours before I was satisfied. No tips to share other than don't be afraid to play around with more dangerous items in the game for photos. I used a flame shooter and it gave me an amazing flicker of color across her face (I did win the contest lol).

My favorite thing about the Sims was the ability to customize my Sims. I loved making new sims and entering contests, though it seems they've fallen out of favor as of late which is just sad. I truly adored them as I am sure you can tell by now. I do love writing so that contest was story telling through photos and writing, but I made a visual book out of it almost. It was loads of fun. I like having Sims that look like me and my friends and I let them come and make their own partners, though I tend to put myself with my favorite JRock Celeb.

As for The Sims 4 I have recently got it (For Xmas) and I don't have any expansions for that as of yet. Hm... so far I am a little overwhelmed by it all. It seems to me they are making the game more complicated than it needs to be. I hate that we still can't make our own Neighborhoods/Lots. I don't like the need for so many expansions now. Also the loss of cars irritated me LOL. I do however like that I can now make my Male Sims effeminate without having to hunt down dresses made for male sims. I am into Gothic Aristocrat/Lolita clothing so this is like the biggest plus in the game for me.

So is there anything like Showtime attached to the Sims 4 yet? Or is that in talks of an expansion as well?

Hello @LadyAqualyne :) It is nice to meet you. Welcome to the forums!
It is nice that you first started simming by playing Sims 2, then that led you on to playing Sims 3 and now Sims 4. Receiving sims 4 for Christmas was a very special present! It will be a Christmas gift that you will keep using and playing!
This is a link to Carls sims 4 website. It contains many helpful guides to Sims 4 which may help you as you are playing.
    http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/
Cheats can be very helpful! Using the money cheat at the start of the game helps the sims to get started in the world, and moo allows us to express our creativity in many creative ways.
It is enjoyable and fun making simselfs of ourselves, our family members, our friends, and celebrities! The sims 4 cas tools are very helpful in making sims that reflect the real life people. It is enjoyable choosing outfits for them to wear for the various categories of clothing! It is then fun seeing them or playing them in the game!
    Happy simming! :)

    Hello Simmers!

I am Melissa and I am a Sim-o-holic! (Hi Melissa!)

I have been playing Sims since I can remember, have been a downloader on TSR for 8-9 years and have only just decided I want to make my own custom content. So while I am playing around with that (whenever I can get a Windows PC) I am making traits and writing fabulous stories in the meantime.

I wanted to show off my pretty Simmies in a previous post on the "post your Simmies here" thread, but then realised after I posted it I couldn't actually link a photo - nor delete my post. Facepalm!

So, I honestly think Sims 4 is like, the BEST ever. I am amazed with how good the graphics are, the level of customisation (who cares if you can't customise the colour of your couch? Don't hate on me, okay? Haha!) and gameplay (even if you have to buy everything..). I have never enjoyed a g game as much as Sims 4 - the only thing I really need in this game? No, not toddlers. A university! Or with the new "holiday destinations" - could we get a Bora-Bora style resort location??

My main Sim is currently a brunette called Marianne Cleaver, she has been ditched by her boyfriend when they were supposed to run away together and she's trying to figure out who she is while she's alone for the first time in her life. For those of you on TSR reading the stories, you would have probably read the beginning.

I have continued the story on my blog (where I also post traits, soon-to-come CC and I have a giveaway running to get some more exposure - it's mellycreatessims.wordpress.com for those interested!)

Anyhoo - you can check her out on my blog to see what she looks like (since I can't post pics here lol...) and I hope to become a bit more of a regular here so we can all exchange stories and our Sims' silliness!! :)

Feel free to introduce yourself and let me know if you have a blog so I can read your stories (I love reading just as much as I love writing!) and make some like-minded Simmer friends :)

Well, I dont know where to start but i'll start off with the questions: Ok, so hello everyone I'm not new to the Sims but I am with the Sims 4, I've been playing the Sims 3 since.... junior year in high school, I think--I heard about it when i was really young but my mom didn't want to buy it because she thought it wasn't kid friendly until it was Christmas and a family friend bought it for me. I recently bought the Sims 4 on Black Friday, tbh i wasn't going to buy it at all because I wasn't going to spend 40 bucks on a game but Origin had that 60% deal thingy and I bought it right away  My favorite EP has to be Sims 3: Generations and Seasons because the park festivals and in Generations you can do more with children and teens, which I like a lot. My favorite thing about the sims in general would be the fact that you are the one who creates it, Its your world. You as the Overseer have say in everything, you control the whole town and thats what I like, Plus the cc and mods are another reason. For the Sims 3 I play with the Master Controller, stay out during curfew, and the leftover foods mod, the sims 4 its the MC commander and a mod that prevents the babies from crying so much (I dont like sim babies) I dont have any tricks, I would say, if you ever get bored of the Sims and want to spice it up do some challenges or do something you've never did, like for example, if you've always played as a cookie-cutter family, try playing as a homewrecker or a suave thief and steal from everyone in town, or be hobo  The one thing about the Sims 4 that I dont like is the loading screen and the "placing lot" screen. since im kinda sorta new to it, im still getting the hang of it, I do love the CAS tho, its quicker and easier than the sims 3, I am addicted to cc so when i first got 4 I knew i had to do cc shopping, so Yeah, thats pretty much about it~ <3

Hello @melissa_be588 :) It is nice to meet you. Welcome to the forums!
It is very nice that you have started to create your own custom content! That is exciting! Happy cc creating!
Sims story writing is a very special part of simming! It is enjoyable reading the stories of the lives of sims that are in fellow simmers games.
I hope that you will enjoy meeting and chatting with fellow simmers on the forum threads, and enjoy posting about the sims in your games.
    Happy simming! :)

Hello @inuy :) Welcome to the forums! It is nice to meet you.
It is nice that you started simming by playing sims 3 when in junior high. The Sims 3 was a special Christmas present that you received, that has led you on to many enjoyable simming hours!
It was great that you were able to purchase Sims 4 when Origin has their sale, and it was reduced by 60 % ! That is great!
Sims 3 Seasons is a great Ep! It is very nice seeing our sims doing the different seasonal activities, and the changing landscape with each season is very pretty! It is fun having our sims visiting the festival lots.
There are many talented cc/mod creators in the simming community! It is very kind of them to share their cc items with fellow simmers so that we all can enjoy having them in our games.
    Happy simming! :)
