Modeling mouth corners?

Wasn't sure where to ask this question so I figured maybe some of you sims modelers might have some tips. My issue is with the perpetual smile all sims seem to have. It causes me issues when creating the correct mouth shape (the one I want to achieve rather) because even when their faces are relaxed and expressionless their mouths turn up at the outer edges.

Try as I might, I cannot seem to manipulate the face to get rid of that and it just ends up looking like the sim is scowling or angry all the time. Any tips on how to get rid of what I have come to think of as "Joker Mouth"? Some people have perpetual smile mouths, but some, like my family's dna, have flat mouth plains that don't turn up at the corner.

So I'm hoping that some of you may know if there's a way to correct this on a resting, non smiling or frowning sim, so they don't still look like they are smiling. I have resting plum face. I admit it. So its impossible to accurately make a sims self for me!
Loving yourself is the most simple and complicated thing you can do for you.
