La patisserie des Champs is very nice! :) Very nice exterior of it! Nice outdoors dining area for sims to enjoy eating their meals in the sunshine at the tables. It looks great how you have used the cornices. It looks very nice how you have done the plants on the upper corner balconies! The open shutter windows through the build look nice. It looks great how you have done the front entrance to the coffee shop on the angled corner of the lot. It looks great how you have combined both a bakery and coffee shop together in the same build with different entrances and buildings. Very nice furnishing of the interior of the shops. Nice pattern that you have used for the walls of the bakery. The breadsticks on the counter and the flowers in the buckets in front of the counter are nice for sims to see when coming to buy their products. Nice type of dining seats that you have used which suit a bakery. Very nice colours and textures that you have used in the coffeshop. It looks very nice how you have set up the dining booths with the sofas. Sims will enjoy buying food and a drink from the barista bar. The cake stand snd the mugs on the tray on the counter are great touches. The framed photos look nice on the walls. The green striped wall pattern looks nice with the brown and textures of the furnishings. It looks nice how you have placed tea sets on tables through the build.
It is a very nice place to visit for food and a drink. :)

    Hi Jessa
What a beautiful build your Bakery is, I love the different shades of blue against the limestone coloured brick. The decor is comfortable and welcoming, I especially like the area with the dining booths. :D Rec'd and Favoured. Hugs Folly

    WIP Nectary & Wedding Venue

Excuse the clutter with these, I was trying out ideas. This lot will be a monastery style nectary bar and cathedral for weddings and receptions when finished. I was trying out using 'Bridge Over Troubled Waters' piece of the Last Venue of Amore as a flying but tress (<--spaced to avoid censorship). I haven't settled on a roof type yet, the first feels a little plain but the second feels too busy. On the graveyard version I put gargoyles in each of the tower roofs. (I'll upload a picture later.) Below is a second version I started without the cloistered area in the way until I'm sure about the cathedral's shape. Any suggestions are welcome!

Also I am building a second church to serve as a funeral party venue. I have not held one in game before, does anyone know what requirements are needed to hold one? (dance floor, food, music, anything special?) I was planning to set it as a graveyard, park or hangout. (I know graveyards require grills to be able to hold events there, but I am not aware of other hidden requirements.)

This is the roof of the funeral version. I like the gargoyles but I haven't settled on the roofline.

Love how you are using the 'Bridge Over Troubled Waters' piece of the Last Venue of Amore as a flying but tress (<--spaced to avoid censorship). What you've got is already looking great! Can't wait to see it finished.

Can't help on the funeral, I haven't built very many community venues.

Thanks for linking to this for me :) It's looking absolutely amazing!

I love all the different buttresses, and the castle pieces seem to line up with them perfectly fine. That said, I think I like the last version the most, with the towers and higher buttresses and the fuller ground floor. It just looks the most in proportion to me. Ooh, and I love all the details with the fencing and bit of cfe.

Can't wait to see how this shapes up xx

Thank you very much ladies, I really appreciate the encouragement.

@GreenCats The castle pieces did line up okay with carefully moving them, and I played around with having an open air reception area among them but it's 3 pieces per 🐸🐸🐸🐸 base/9-12 per side, so it's a lot of parts that can go awry. I accidentally grabbed them while placing objects around them so I was worried how they would work with redecorating the area for different weddings. I feel like the towers are a little large for the roof size, so I may try it capped by the 'Finely Tapered Spire' from Midnight Hollow.

Also, I tried out CFE buttresses and the columns I used in the interior stuck through the roof tiles on them, if I go that route I will need to find something else for the empty niches inside.

This is another lot I'm working on, it's for Monte Vista based on Fontana di Trevi in Italy. I am planning a few lots for Monte Vista used as a vacation spot. I think I want it to be some kind of skill building, I can't decided between sculpting or a cooking school. Maybe an art gallery? I plan to make a cafe on the lot across the street so the outdoor dining has a view of the fountain. (13 & 12 Regalia Court) I hope to finish it this weekend.

Here it is with a lighting mod, so it's closer to the color it will be in any other world.

I'm going to fill in the rocks as much as I can but still allow for routing for the wishing well. It wouldn't be Trevi without being able to throw a coin in.

*edit* Tested the routing a little and I was able to make the well platform smaller, it looks a bit better now.

Your Fontana di Trevi is shaping up Beautifully!

I can't think of a way to get the dome on the front of the building but have you tried using the "Half Arch of Lesser Gods" from Last Venue of Amore to give it a tall recessed look?

Poseidon's Fury Fountain reminds me of parts of the fountain.

The smaller well platform makes a huge difference!

Oh that's a good idea trying the arch piece. I tried normal arch and they just didn't work and the recessed dome is such a part of the building. I'll give it a try, thanks I haven't had any luck with that part of the building so far. Yeah getting the roofline closer took a few tries but it does look better now. It's really helping me to take screenshots to compare, I keep seeing things stick out at me once I've taken a screenshot.

I will try out Poseidon's Fury too, it should go better than the thinking man.

I can see now that I need to go with 2 story columns for the statues.

*edit* Yes the arch piece worked, thank you!

    tumblr_oibh0mGktW1t81gyjo3_r1_540.jpg
Here's the fountain with Poseidon's fury and mermaids added, still deciding on one arch or three.

    tumblr_oibh0mGktW1t81gyjo2_r3_1280.jpg

I lost a row of windows with the arch so I'm expanding the building and moving them over a space now. I've moved the windows over but I haven't expanded the roof yet.

    tumblr_oibh0mGktW1t81gyjo4_r1_1280.jpg
It lost some of it's symmetry, I tried to borrow a little space from the arch's wall for windows and I've hit the edge of the lot. I'm going to see if I can find a slightly larger lot for it. It's on a 30x30, there are not many large lots in the walled area of Monte Vista.

The Fontana Di Trevi build is looking so very nice! :) It is reflecting the inspiration building/fountain so very well! It looks just like it! The way that you have designed and created the fountain looks so very nice!

I like the 1 but I think the 3 gives it more of the dome look. What does 2 look like? The actual building looks to have 4 pillars in the dome part with the 2 taller ones beside it.

I have to take pics and stare at them, to see it better sometimes too! LOL

    Thank you very much Rose.

Here it is with two, I think 3 gives it more depth.

    tumblr_oibh0mGktW1t81gyjo5_r1_1280.jpg

I widen the arch base and extended the roof.
    tumblr_oibh0mGktW1t81gyjo6_r1_1280.jpg

I want to move the mural piece on the roof higher but it keeps jumping off because of the edge of the CFE, I will see if I can get it to cooperate. *Edit* I just saw that the main male statue in the fountain is nearly at the same height as the arch base so I'm going to stick him on a rock and take the door out.

I think I was able to keep the scale okay, I usually like to leave space on the sides but I want to keep it in the walled area so I'm going to try to keep it on the lot, I may remove the side columns to clear more space.

I'm excited the fountain is going to work, I added some recolored sand to give the platform for the wishing well a little more texture. I may have to darken it once I have MV's default lighting again and I can check the color.

I agree. 3 does give it more depth and with the way you've moved the pillars, the front one takes the place of the larger ones at the sides. Much better! Are you going to be able to keep it on the smaller lot?

    I'm just loving that fountain!!

I just noticed the pattern you have inside the dome! great choice!

Thank you Romagi and thank you so much for all your help!

Okay unless I spot something else or having trouble with routing while testing I think I'm going to keep this version. I added a foundation to raise the statue but I think it looks better on the balcony with rocks coming up to it. I'm going to start on the interior for now. I can't center the lower one any more than that, so I'm leaning towards the higher placement.

    tumblr_oibh0mGktW1t81gyjo7_r3_1280.jpg

*Edit* at some point the roof raised, fixed the lower part.

I've roughed out the interior as an art skill building with a shop and cafe on the lower floor. I am thinking of uploading an unfurnished version too.

Okay the interior is done and I've taken screenshots for uploading if I get a chance I'll play test it and upload it tomorrow.

    Palazzo delle Arti

Study the Arts in Monte Vista. Facilities for painting, sculpting. photography, glass blowing, jewelry making, logic, fashion and architectural design. Shop and Cafe on lower level. No trip to Monte Vista will be complete without making a wish in the fountain. No CC or CAP. I have the lot lit for storytelling so most areas of interest or sim interaction are lit from the top and front, if you find it a little bright with your lighting settings remove extra debug lighting or dim the lights. Also, I'm sorry I missed this in my play test earlier but you may want to place a sink on one of the counters behind the coffee bar. I saw some sims take their dishes to the restroom to wash them, I forget that it's the bistro oven that makes the dishes disappear afterword.

Store content info (for items that won't show up): I used 1 item from Aurora skies (stained glass display shelf), Several from Monte Vista, and some items from the Last Venue of Amore, Prism Art Studio and 2 items from Golden Ticket Toy Shop. (Toolset for the wall, and toy machine.)

Palazzo Del Arti is a very nice venue for sims to enjoy visiting! :) The exterior design of the venue looks so very nice! It is great that you have made it a venue where sims can come and do the different type of art activities, The furnishing of each of the areas to suit the art done there looks very nice! Very nice painting area, for sims to enjoy painting on the easels. The paint floor mats look great there. The clothes shelves, mannequin and styling salon item looks nice placed to accompany the fashion drafting table, and wall sketching picture is a nice touch when the table is placed in the interior design section. Sims will enjoy sculpting at the venue. Very nice cafe area! Sims will enjoy sitting at the tables having a cup of tea, or enjoy eating food from the barisrs bar, after doing their art work.
It is very nice art venue ! :)

Woot! It's up! I gave it a rec'd when I saw it but my dang net is being sporadic about letting me on today. :/ I love playing in MV so this is a must have for sure! Just have to see that fountain in game! Great use of the sand, I was wondering what you used for the texture. :)
