    INTRODUCING: WHARTON HEIGHTS

    download•here

A multi-level townhouse, perfect for city living. Although the outside space is small, there is a private patio with barbecue and a little playground for the little one. What it lacks in outdoor space, it makes up for on the interior. The walk-down basement apartment is 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom decorated in vibrant colors for the college-student nanny. The main living space is comprised of 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen and formal dining room. There's a formal living space with fireplace and a chess table. The bedrooms are on the next level, both with ensuites, and one decorated as a nursery, which can be grown into as the baby ages. On the upper level is a laid back family room, an office space, and a half bathroom.

    ENJOY!

Wharton Heighrs is a very nice townhouse build! :) Very nice exterior design of the build! The texture of the exterior looks nice, and the type of and placement of the windows in the build looks very nice. Very nice layout and furnishing of each level of the build! It is a very detailed build! The basement apartment is very nice! The floral wall pattern in the living room there gives a very nice look to the tv watching area. The white brick wall texture in the apartment kitchen looks nice. Very nice colour schemes of the rooms through the townhouse. The yellow flowers picture on the wall in the chess nook is sunny for sims to see whilst having fun playing chess. The yellow and red flowers wall pattern in the nursery look cheery and nice.
It is a very nice home! :)

@aricarai , Wow, I absolutely love the looks of this townhouse. I've always wanted to attempt to put in a walk-down apartment, but then steer away from it, lol. Yours looks great! You made such great use of space on all the floors. Rec'd and dl'ed. :)

OMG!!!!! @Manssom - How the heck are you? I kid you not, I was actually just on your thread in the 4 section checking YOU out! And just as I suspected, you're still creating epic lots! I miss the friendships and closeness of TS3 the most - seems so disjointed now, but thank you so much for stopping by and please don't be a stranger! <3

I'm doing just fine :) I hope you are too! Really? That's awesome, thanks for checking me out.
I too miss the friendships and closeness we had during the glorious days of TS3. The creative corner
for TS4 can be a bit immature from time to time but it is a nice place for the most part.

There are many simmers I miss though. Some of you are here and some has completely left it seems :/

But I don't plan to be a stranger so no worries :) Looking forward to see what you create next

I even have this thread bookmarked

Yes, I love checking out your blog and seeing what's new! Loved that new CFE series - that's fab! I'm getting back into creating again, I seem to take breaks here and there, but I'm really enjoying it this time around. Hopefully my creative juices will keep flowing! xx

It's been awhile since I've built for a competition, but I must say that I was intrigued by ajaxpost's Den of Vice & Iniquity Building Competition. I must say that while I was lured in by the competition (it reminded me of the old days of Gift Gathering), it was definitely a difficult challenge for me as this build was out of my comfort zone (My OCD was seriously going mental while trying to make this place look run down). I think I scrapped about 10 builds before settling on the final version, which I was finally happy with. I highly suggest that everyone go and enter this competition - it was a blast!

    May I present: Seedy Joe's

Before downtown was built, Joe's was the hotspot that everyone ventured to. Anyone that was anyone was seen at Joe's on any given night. Friends would become merry over a pint and watch the sport on TV and patrons would quietly sit near the dance floor watching the pianist tickle the ivories, while the blues singer crooned into the night. Joe's was the best place in town for a night out. As downtown developed and more people moved closer to it, a series of events turned Joe's into Seedy Joe's - ownership changed, the crowd got rougher and then there was the boxcar incident which no one speaks about anymore. Now, only the dregs of society would dare to set foot in Seedy Joe's. The dive bar caters to the devious, mischievous, hardknocks, and the ones down on their luck. Known for its bar brawls, loud and boozy chatter, and grungy decor, only brave people would venture into Seedy Joe's if not a regular. Featuring a smoke-filled illicit gambling room (only to be entered from the rear), pool table room, outdoor horseshoe courts, 3 bars, stage, and television area.

Seedy Joe's is a great bar venue that suits the theme of the build very well! :) The texture of the exterior and interior walls gives a great feel and look to the build! The type and placement of the overrun outdoors plants/bushes looks great! Very nice Casino area! Sims will have fun playing the casino games there. The smokiness is a great touch! They will have fun playing pool and darts at the venue also. Very nice corner booth seating and dining areas for sims to enjoy having a drink at the tables. The bar counters areas in the build are very nice. The textures of the furnishings are great to reflect the theme of the venue! Very nice music stage area! Sims will enjoy doing gigs there, or enjoy listening to the musical instruments being played. The boarded windows in the build look great!
I hope that you go well in the contest :)

That's awesome! Love how you got the gambling room to look smoke-files, and loved seeing that boarded up century manor Windows. They look great! I'm on mobile ATM but plan on DL'ing and recommending when I get back to my PC. :star:

@HappySimmer3 - Howdy *waves* nice to see you here! Thank you for the comments; let me know how it looks in your game! I'm glad that the gambling room came across well - it took awhile to get it right :) There's a lot of items that I've never used before as this build was definitely something I wouldn't have built without the competition.

Well, well, well.....I see nothing 'Seedy' about it. That's my kinda place!!! hehe This Louisiana gal would party all night at Seedy Joe's. (when I was much younger, of course) Now, she would enjoy hangin' with friends at the bar, lose some money gambling, dance a little, then enjoy the band for a while. All this before 10pm, cause this ol' lady needs her sleep. :)

Very authentic Ms Rai....it's perfect. Great atmosphere with a splash of charm....and....maybe a little seedy. :p

@Cassee - hi darlin, so glad to see you stopping by! I'm so happy you like Seedy Joe's and could see yourself partying there. I'm right with you about 10pm - I'm too old to stay out past then now! <3

Ari, you hit Seedy Joe's right on the nail. Love the authentic décor and ambiance. The 'smoke' was the perfect touch and you even have an old boxcar. What a great find... never knew this object existed in game before. A great way to use the gambling stuff. Such a well executed build - inside and out. Rec'd
