SP09 - Casino Stuff?

I was thinking about all of the Stuff Pack icons for TS4 and how they relate to the content in the pack, and I couldn't figure out what sort of content a tuxedo would fit with (that isn't party related...) until I thought of croupiers in casinos! They have a very distinct look, a bow tie with a vest and button-up shirt and that fits with the stuff pack icon.

As well, when I think of casinos, I think luxury, fancy/formal dress code, and from the very short clip we've seen from the teaser I think it's as good a guess as any! I'd absolutely love a casino stuff pack and it'd be so much better than another luxury party pack.

What are your thoughts?

I think casinos area better fit for GPs or EPs than SPs. They would likely only do the theme once, and you would want a variety of games/slots etc, Gambling skill (or game specific skills), Lucky/Unlucky/Cheat type traits, Casino venue assignments and various NPC roles like Croupier, Card Sharp (Shark) etc.

I don't think it's that unsuitable for it to be in a SP. There could be 3 new gameplay objects (backyard stuff had 4), a roulette table, poker table, and slot machine, a new gambling skill or half skill, a new croupier npc that spawns for the roulette and poker tables (or even the return of the SimBot blackjack table without the need of an npc), a handful of objects and formal clothing/hairstyles, and a new casino venue type.
To be fair, that's not a lot for a stuff pack, considering the Lucky Simoleon Casino only came with 10 objects and was like $15, and we get a lot more bang for our buck with stuff packs in TS4.

Idk maybe I'm being too optimistic.

Looks more like some kind of 70's dinner party stuff to me - the logo's confusing me but that bit of the teaser looks exactly like so many British 70's sitcoms.

To me it looks like Roaring 20s/ Art Deco stuff. Taking into account it'll most likely be released shortly before New Year's Eve, it may also have some kind of New Year-type party?

For me it looks like 1940s :) .

Given the fact that the woman has a lipstick in her thought bubble, I want a wonderful vintage toilet table from that era like this:

I hope not. I am so sick of the night life content.

I'm thinking it's more 50's. maybe 30's. Which is great because I love Retro.

I want casinos but not in an SP, that'd be boring to get like 2 games then just loads of fancy clothes and decor.
It looked more like art deco, like Roaring Heights stuff did

thats nice but i would much rather see an sp that focus on everyday housework like cleaning the house vaccum doing laundry take the car for a tune up at the garage grocery shoping ect and not have my sims pass there time in casinos

I like the way you think. We need more every day time past times and chores for our sims.

What they showed in the trailer kind of reminded me of that mid century set from ts3 store, except did you see the female sim's hair who was sitting down? It had that old 20's kind of style to it. So idk, I guess we'll find out later this quarter when it's released.

Maybe it is the vampire stuff pack. Dracula wore a tuxedo. The tux shape is in the shape of a "V" and vampires tend to dress in earlier fashions depending when they turned....

    Just a thought

They would have to add vampires in as a free update though, as there wouldn't be a life state in a stuff pack.

Maybe we get Butlers back !

It makes me think of the program Mad Men. That tight skirt with the kick pleat is definitely from the 50's. Maybe we'll get an advertising career?

I would love it a casino package came as a Game Pack, this way we could get a casino lot type with its own lot traits such as feeling lucky , formal wear for the ritzy casino .

I guess they didn't want to include the dresses for City Living...

Nah..casino stuff as a stuff pack would be very lack luster, a GP would make more sense. Give me an updated 70s, 80s, and 90s stuff pack, they can keep the 50's stuff pack, not edgy enough for my taste.

This forum is literally the definition of disappointment sorry. But it hurts me how we have really low expectations casinos would make the game worse like I already get bugs and now we have city life but the cherry on top gives the game pure and total plum.
