I love the game. It has some really great features that I adore. I'm a realist though, and I can't help but see the flaws and the missing content that I've always felt should have been included as early as base game. Its The Sims and I'll always be a fan. I think that core will always be there. I love the emotions system even though its a bit manic. I love the collections options and the clean ui. I love that it runs like a dream on many computers in a wide range of system specs.

Again, there're things I will always wish were slightly different or that I wish will be added, but over all I am still a sims fan and refuse to give up hope that I'll soon see some of those things I'd love personally.
Loving yourself is the most simple and complicated thing you can do for you.

I like it, but don't love it. I miss the attraction system, celebrity or reputation systems, hustling people at pool/billiards, the bubble machine, vampires, matchmakers, hobbies, casinos, and a ton of other things from previous games.

When I go on the forums, they talk about lack of family play. Which I assume there is. But there's also a lack of play for my style. Which I'm confused about, because I thought this game was supposed to be "single party style." It's supposed to cater to me! They have a ton of different parties and great venues, but there isn't much to do at the parties/venues. It feels a bit shallow.

On the plus side, I'm glad they added dancing. I like when I go out, there are always other sims around. For me, personally, the Sims 3 locations always felt empty.

I do really like it, and I've played so many hours of it. As it is now, I do think its a little shallow and needs some content of a bigger scope. But for what it does have so far, I really enjoy it and it keeps ke going back to it :)

If I didn't like it, I wouldn't play it, not least waste my time and money investing in it - which appears to be a concept lost on some people. I stopped playing Sonic the Hedgehog because it got boring and I used to be completely obsessed with it.

I'd echo the thoughts of others - I like it, but I don't love it. I still play TS3, but not as much as I used to - but then, I wouldn't necessarily say I love TS3 either. Neither were as captivating as TS2 for me.

Those who profess to hate it with the passion of a thousand suns wasting their time replying to this thread is unsurprising. It's as if seeing the same thing posted over and over again isn't uninteresting or repetitive in their eyes.

I have a love/hate relationship with it. However, if I had to create a list of likes and dislikes; my dislikes would probably outweigh my likes... :(

It's even stranger considering that this thread is in The Sims 4 territory.

It's okay, but it's missing some things and I don't care for some of the features (thankfully there's mods, but still)

The same way people can voice their love for TS4, people can voice their dislike of TS4 as long as it's not disrespectful which is a concept not only lost on other people, but lost on you, too.
A lot of people stick around because they like the series as a whole and want to like this iteration as well, holding on to see if it gets better and if not, they can return to their favourite iteration at the end of the day. But no one gets to dismiss or disregard someone's valid and respectful opinions. The majority in this thread were able to keep it respectful. Why can't you?

I actually like it a lot. Yes, it has many limitations as of now, and imo it strays off the "sandbox" vision of previous iterations in many perspectives. On the other hand, every iteration has its pros and cons, of which I find TS4 enjoyable enough to triumph part of its flaws.

    The title... that's the question.
I've seen a lot of negativity. And less people that actually like this game.
So, if you like this game, speak out! :)

For me? I like this game. It's alright.

Love the game...play it every single day. Mostly to build things, not that often to play/play.

I like the game but I am not liking bad decisions taken like culling mechanics, the slowness in giving us EPs while throwing at us SP after SP, The illusion based game play.

This game if turned into a real simulation could have been wonder
Everything I post is an opinion here and I think every post of others is as well.

It's okay. I like it, but it could be better. I still enjoy it.

There hasn't been any new news to react to (and I'm not one for speculation), and the same kinds of threads/posts (especially the negative ones) keep being posted, so I rarely post on the forums.

No sense in getting into the same old flameswars or having to actually justify why I like a video game and being disrespected.

(I personally don't feel I have to justify why I like TS4 to anybody, but it seems on these forums you have to for some posters. I'm not into being harassed for having an opinion about liking something.)

I play the game more than I post.

I could literally play it from dawn to dusk if I had the time, that's how much I like it.

I like the game. I don't the stupid packs and "features" like culling they're adding. That's my problem with the game: the way Maxis is managing it.
The changes came slowly at first. Most didn't realize, or didn't care, and accepted them. They chose a comfortable life.

I love some aspects of it, like some aspects of it and dislike some aspects of it. Pretty much how I have felt with all of the sims games that have ever been.

But this isn't what happens on 90% of these threads. Typically, after a page or two, someone - and they'll know who they are - will turn up, make a snide or sarcastic remark, and then others will join in and start implying or outright stating that those who either like TS4 or are indifferent either way must be a) kidding themselves or b) slaves to EA. I am sick to the back teeth of it.

I am more than happy to be respectful to those with differing opinions - but I will not respect opinions that are stated in a patronizing/flippant/disregarding manner, or stated in a 'matter of fact' way. That is not respectful - it's rude and annoying and contributes absolutely nothing to discussions.

On 90% there are people like this from both sides, that's why I said that no one gets to dismiss a respectful opinion. It's not solely a "people who dislike" or "people who like" TS4 thing, and you shouldn't treat it as such.

I really like that this discussion has been kept civil for 7 pages :) I wish it was always like this.

it's pretty good but in short bursts i don't find myself playing for more than an hour or two and only every other day

i usually play for a few weeks/months then take a break come back and see if there is a new EP or GP get them if want them and play again

i'll probably take a break when battlefield 1 comes out and im still heavily playing overwatch

hopefully by December there will be a new EP and i'll start playing sims again

Sims 4 is my favorite game. I still play 3 sometimes but 4 is the top of the totem pole for me. The only reason I play other games is to play action games with hubby, Altho he makes sure I have plenty of Sims time. Specially on Sundays when Daz Black posts his Sims Sunday video on youtube. Hubby figures that the whole day should be Sims Sunday. :D

I thought they did a great job with CAS and the gender patch is great....game play ....not so much. It's lacking a lot.
