Third floor of Von Haunt Estate-Question

Does anyone know why the third floor of the Von Haunt Estate is unfurnished with the exception of the bookcase and little clutter box? I'm trying to figure out what was intended for that space. Thoughts? Conspiracy theories?

My thought on any SIm house with a third floor is waste.Unless you put something awesome up there they will avoid it.

Maybe Bernard or Mimsy likes to go up there to read? I honestly have no idea why it's up there. It is inaccessible for the public too. I bet there's a theory behind it though.
