I've got news for those of you who have been looking for an alternative family tree tool to track your sim families in - we've launched a public beta for our family tree app,
The Plum Tree.
We made this web app specifically for TS4, so you can add your sims' traits, aspirations and bios as well. The Plum Tree can be accessed from most standard web browsers. You can learn more about what the tool does and how it works
here.
To start creating family trees just head on over to theplumtreeapp.com and create your account.
Check out the post below for quick links and latest news - we are currently looking to expand the team; more info below. Happy simming!

Special thanks to the alpha testers - We are still in beta, but so much further than we were a couple months ago when you bravely volunteered to test this for us! Thank you!

@Simpkin Hey, not exactly, you just access it from your browser - it should work from a phone (browser depending) but I'd recommend using it on a PC or tablet for more ease (also makes things easier when uploading your sims' images, since you can just take them directly from your screenshots folder)
@lejoninna Thanks! We thought it would come in handy with different family sizes and amounts of generations!

@JoieWilder Thank you!
@ChelleJo That's a great suggestion - we love user feedback and ideas!
It can get tricky with details like this, since if we add too many things it could get confusing. We want to be able to show as much as possible while still keeping the interface simple. But it's definitely a good point to consider for us - we're constantly releasing updates based on our beta testers suggestions
For now, I would probably just mention it in the bio?

@shacoria Thanks for the feedback Remember that this is still a beta so it's work in progress. It's a tricky balance to find a way to include all the features while still keeping it simple.
I would definitely suggest having a look at the Guides section first rather than jumping straight in to make getting started easier!
