I am wondering what happened to the Bella storyline?

I mean I know that she is in TS4, but what happened after TS2?

Some players are waiting for an answer for 12 years now...
During the Sims 2, she got trapped in the alternative universe that is the Sims 4. Poor Bella being trapped in a Truman Show dome. Must be miserable for a Goth being trapped in a perfect universe.

Yes as a child. Sims 3 is like the prequel to the Sims 1 with the time line. Sims 4 is in a whole different dimension with no relations to the original Sims story. Like the Goths lost Michael and the dead relatives. The Calientes have the mother, lost their alien DNA, and got Hollywood make overs, and the Landgrubs family tree got all messed up.

No problem. I love following to story lines of the characters over the years. I still think Nervous Subject is Grim Reaper's son. There are just really interesting background stories and personal bios with the Sims 1, 2, and 3 games. They are fun to read.

The most accepted theory is that Bella was abducted and was originally meant to come back to Pleasantview but something went wrong and her memories were wiped clean so the aliens dropped her off in Strangetown, in the hopes that it would avoid suspicion on them because an amnesia based Bella Goth would raise questions in Pleasantview but not in Strangetown where no one knows who she is.

There is a theory that the Bella in Strangetown was just a clone of her. Actually a few bugs would happen trying to put her back into Pleasantview with the Sims 2. Technically the Sims 2 has two Bella Goths. But which one is the real Bella Goth is the real question? I think her story is one of the biggest mysteries of the Sims.

Also there is a deceased Bella Goth with blonde hair and a cavernous face in Lunar Lakes. It's during the time when Bella Goth used to be a child in Sunset Valley. So probably involving time travel, clones and brutal genetic alien experiments.

    Talking about NPC Sims
I wish could see in TS4 brought back:

Social Bunny (TS2) to my insider sims who don't talk that much.
Gabby, The Mime (TS1) to show up when my party is going bad
Santa Claus (TS1) just because is the Santa!
The Therapist (TS2) for my Sims getting older without go further with them aspiration.
Claire the Bear (TS1) because she soo cute and cry seeing her similars like a living room rug. Too bad. :(

Those are the mainly Sims that I miss from the previous series. I know having a lot of others iconic Sims, but I can't remember right now. I'm avoiding to mention the ones like policemen, firefighters, burglars, and stuff because I think the need of them in the game is obvious.

Technically if you have Lunar Lakes you can get your answer by seeing that she was abducted to Lunar Lakes and died there as her ghost is at the cemetary though she does look different....but alien experiments and all who wouldn't

The Sims has currently lost its identity. Bring it back for TS5

Quite frankly I am surprised they have the few they have from previous games seeing it seems the Sims 4 is apparently a whole different kind of game - seeing I keep getting told that - a lOT - more or less. That if I like all the former versions better then I should be playing those. Can't imagine why anyone would want ANY of the Sims from former Sims games in here to start with - Goodness just imagine, that might make some of us simmers actually think the Sims 4 was actually part of the series and not - SOMETHING ELSE. LOL.

Don't you know we are probably supposed to just forget Sims 1, 2 , and 3 ever existed - and just love on Sims 4. Some people get a bit irate otherwise.

But The Sims 4 is more like The Sims 1 than either 2 or 3 were.
If anything, The Sims 2 was a detour from the original concept. It revolved around family life.

Nowhere did the original Sims revolve around family life. Kids were just extras. No pack catererd towards raising a family and all of the packs were things for Adults to do. Kids got very little attention.

You keep saying the Sims 4 is "not in line" with the first three games, when it seems you've forgotten what The Sims 1 was like.

The Sims 4 was from DAY ONE advertised as a "going back to roots" game, which was essentially focusing mostly on Adults, and things for Sims to do.
The Sims 4 is basically the baby of the original Sims and The Sims Bustin Out.

Even down to the artstyle and behaviours.

I always enjoyed playing the Newsoms from TS2 but they can't return. If you don't know them there are three boys and three girls, 2 teens, two kids, and two toddlers (why can't they return you ask?), one gender of each age. I always sent them to college. The houses were always too small for them and they would get stuck in corners trying to walk around each other. We complain about the small lots on TS4, but TS2 had wonderful lots, but you couldn't afford them.

Traveller was their name and traveling was their game.
