@wolfkomoki1@Okblondee7 @curlhappy, that has to be the most annoying thing I have come across on this forum. Are you trying to blind everyone?
That could give someone a seizure. Not cool.[/quote]
I'm sorry! I removed it.[/quote]
Thank you! That was really beyond annoying; bordering on unhealthy. I still see it, btw...hope there aren't any young children being exposed to this...
man I been using photobucket.com since the old myspace days...so anyone coming from the myspace era probably already knew how to use codes to post picture on this sight....I didn't realize some of ya'll coming after myspace didn't know about this...that was the good thing about myspace it got people interesting in HTML and coding...
This tutorial assumes that you have 50 Points, 30 Posts and have an account older than 24 hours.
Now onto the tutorial.
1. Find an image hosting site. I use http://tinypic.com/
2. Find the image you want.
3. Upload the image.
4. Copy the image url. You can do this two ways.
Method 1:
Method 2 [Note if you use this message you need to use this format: [*IMG]urlgoeshere[*/IMG] remove the *
Perhaps I'm just slow, but I can't seem to find where my screenshots are. Can someone guide me on where to find my photos when attempting to upload them to my blog? (I haven't written a story since Sims 3 in 2013.)

Working on revamping the tutorial. Will post when done.
Edit: Done. The first page has been revamped.
In order to post pictures to this forum, you must be a member. To become a member you need to have 50 points, 30 posts, and an account older than 24 hours. Now that you're a member, you can post photos to this forum.
Posting images to this forum isn't as simple as simply uploading a photo to the forum.
In fact, no such feature exists.
Well then how do I post a picture to this forum then?
Well my friend, that requires an image hosting website.
What image hosting website do you suggest?
I actually use three main websites for hosting images. Tinypic Imgur Flickr
Can you show us how to use the websites you listed?
Certainly.
#1. Tinypic
While you don't have to have an account to upload to tinypic, I highly recommend it. Having an account makes it easier to keep track of your photos, and hey you get a nifty little album to keep them in! How cool is that?
Step 1: Uploading
Now that you have your image ready to go, it's time for you to upload.
To do that, first you need to hit the BROWSE button.
Step 2: Browsing
From here you need to find and select the picture that you want to upload.
Now that you have the picture selected, you need to hit the OPEN button.
Step 3: Uploading part 2
Now that you have selected your image, you're ready to upload. To do this, hit the UPLOAD NOW! button.
Step 4: Posting
Now that you've uploaded your image, you need the BB CODE.
To do that, copy the bb image code.
Congratulations! You've just posted your first image!
And the screenshot I selected.
#2 Imgur
When I first found out about imgur, I was very frustrated. When I was posting the image codes, they wouldn't load the picture. Instead they would post a block of text. Well, there's a reason for that, and I'm going to show you that reason. Once again, you don't have to have an account for imgur, but again, I highly recommend it.
Step 1: Uploading
In order to upload to Imgur, you need to hit the NEW POST button.
Now, at this point I figured that all I had to do was hit the copy button on the side, and put in the image codes.
[img]http://imgur.com/KvZ4gtz
Well let's see what happens when I do that.
As you can see, the image never loads and instead appears as a block of text.
So why does this happen?
The reason that this happens is because there's no file extension at the end of the link.
Example: .png, .jpg
This means that the picture will never load, because the link is broken.
Step 2: Getting a working link part 1
In order to get a working link you need to hover over the image. DON'T click the copy button! That's where I was messing up.
Instead you need to click the TRIANGLE button.
Step 3: Getting a working link part 2
Now that you've clicked the triangle button, you need to hit the GET SHARE LINKS button.
Step 4: Getting a working link part 3
Now that you've clicked the get share links button, you need to copy the BB CODE link.
Finally, you can post your image. Personally I think all these extra buttons you have to click are unnecessary.

Step 1: Uploading
In order to upload, you need to hit the BUTTON THAT LOOKS LIKE A CLOUD.
Step 2: Preparing to upload
So at this point you've got your image ready to go. Well you have two choices.
You can DRAG AND DROP PHOTOS or you can CHOOSE PHOTOS TO UPLOAD
Step 3: Preparing the photo for upload
So at this point your photo is ready to be prepared for uploading. At this point you need to hit the BLUE UPLOAD BUTTON
Step 4: Getting your photo
So at this point your photo is in a photo stream. After this you need to CLICK ON THE PHOTO
Step 5: The share button
Now that you've gotten to your image, you need to CLICK ON THE RIGHT TRIANGLE BUTTON
Step 6: Getting a working link
Now that you've uploaded your photo, you need to COPY THE BB CODE link.
Step 7: Editing the link
Now, before you post it, you're going to need to do a bit of editing to the link, because the link is a mess.

Our first step is ELIMINATING THE URL CODES.
So, those url codes are unnecessary. Let's clean them up.
