I'm not much of a builder, but I decided to make a restaurant so that my Sim could have a place that reflected her personality. Here's Hodge Podge, a Bohemian kind of restaurant that serves all sorts of random food.
The host area.
I was happy to see customers actually sitting in the waiting area (even though some of them still wandered around).
This is fun seeing everyone's amazing creations! I've never been into building houses but restaurants are creative and fun to design. I am in awe at all the artistic talent, architecture and layouts that simmers create in the community. Here is one of my new restaurants that I just completed.
Ye Olde Alehouse for the Windham neighborhood:
Exterior Photo:
The 2nd floor which is like an inner room in the restaurant. All of my sims seem to prefer this floor while I think the 1st floor is prettier and has more ambience.
Sims dining on 2nd floor:

The lonely 1st floor w/fireplaces and fountains:
The cellar area where Sims can play darts, Llama Jenga, dance and drink:
One more cellar photo:
I also have a Gourmet Burger restaurant and a Seafood place... so much FUN!
@Blastboom Hey, sorry it took me a while to get back to you. I haven't checked the thread recently. The pictures are indeed CC; they are called Simlish Anderson Prints (I think) and they were created by Simsza.
I haven't posted it to the gallery because I used the "bones" of the building from someone else's build and I would feel bad re-posting someone else's building as my own But maybe I'll rebuild the whole thing from scratch so I can post it, it would be fun! It's called The Greenhouse because... it looks like a greenhouse.
I also turned Mimsy's Cafe into an old-timey ice cream parlor (the camera wouldn't let me get a screenshot of the whole thing, wah!)

Normally they don't get up when the pianist plays.
Just like in real life, when people are generally annoyed by the noise...
OK, thanks.
Cool, thanks.

And a pretty lighting moment.
Are those posters above the fireplace from a pack or are they CC? I've never seen those before.
