How to grow a Sims YouTube channel?

«1
Hi, I make videos on YouTube and was wondering how I could grow my channel and any feedback/ideas you have. I upload 2-3 times a week, I upload in HD and have a good quality microphone, but my channel isn't going anywhere. I currently doing a lets play with my current household and it would be great if you could check it out at: youtube.com/ThomasTV1(I also make other videos relating to technology, Minecraft and random chat videos.)

I know the first episode isn't great but I have many other episodes already filmed which are much better quality, waiting to be uploaded.

Thanks!

Well already this will help. Your putting yourself out there on the forums and the forum people may want to check it out.

The best way to do it is to interact with the lp community via comments, subscriptions and twitter. And also just comment on your favorite regular youtuber's videos, it'll get your channel out there and someone will be bound to click on your channel. And when you start subscribing to other simmers they usually subscribe back and want to make collabs!

put yourself out literally everywhere. See my signature for example?

There's The Sims Community on Facebook that lets you post videos, so I advertise there once a week.
On The Sims reddit every Wednesday is video Wednesday, so you can post your videos up there then.

I don't know if that has been working at all honestly, but it feels better than doing nothing.

Well this is your first step.
    • You could always create a signature pic for your channel. That will draw in a lot more attention than the tiny font signatures. The ONLY time I notice those are when someone says "check my signature."
    • You could always create a signature pic for your channel.
    • Create a facebook page and twitter.
    • Leave comments on other LP's that you watch, including outside of the Sims.
    • You could also post here.

    Hope that helps. (c:

    Hello :)
It would be good to post in the " Sims 4 Video Haven" section of the forums. The link to that section is
    http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/categories/the-sims-4-video-haven

You need to have 50 points and 30 posts before you can become a member and can then post pictures, have a signature, post links and change your profile picture. This thread explains about it.
    http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/770609/member-or-new-member-everything-you-need-to-know

Once you are a full member, you will be able to post links to your videos and YouTube channel.

Humm... that's weird, I'm sure that's the right link. Make sure that there is the number "1" after "TV".

Looks like you have some great content! My only recommendation would be to update your video thumbnails. While they are nice and colorful, but having them a bit more polished would be beneficial. I would recommend including screenshots from the game in your video thumbnails. Images of the Sims that are in the Lets Play :)

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Twitter has been amazing for me, everyone is so kind and friendly. If you post screenshots from your LPs and updates regarding your channel. You have to give to receive ;-) so make sure you comment/like/subscribe on other peoples channels.
Sul Sul! I'm a life long fan of The Sims! Come and join me on Youtube/Twitter. My videos are mainly LPs and Challenges, with a few other random things thrown in there too!

I've noticed that the more I post in the community the more attention it brings to my channel. I also try to do a lot of networking, even dropping a "Hey, how's it going?" or a "I like your vids" and on twitter DMing people with your channel link and getting them to give you theirs is also a good one. Posting on different forums also help a lot too!
Also, I find with the more content you have on your channels the more it helps, a different variety as well!
Also, I subbed to you :)

Promote! Post links on all social media, Facebook, Twitter, Sims Forums. Also, you need to interact with people, even on youtube.

I'd also suggest posting a screencap along with your link on tumblr. Just make sure you tag your post with a lot of relevant tags so more people are able to see them!
Check out my channel, EllieSims , for your daily dose of CAS videos! ❤

How do you guys post pictures in your signature....and use text for links....and use pics for links? I know html and have tried the code in the sig box but it never works. Some thing like this: Example does not work for me when I put it in the signature box.

I just added the image link and then i added my youtube link on URL... I know it's hard to understand, but it's actually quite easy. You'll get it.
