I tried looking online and couldn't find anything, I'm probably not searching for the right thing. A feature wall to me is just one wall of a room with a patterned wallpaper and the rest plain but I know that's not what you mean!

FEATURE WALLS
Ok here are some examples that I have done, they can be pretty simple feature walls but I would expect more than just a picture.
I love doing bed head feature walls but they can be in any room
Here is the two feature walls I've done in this practice challenge, first being a bed head using a 2nd type of wall covering and covered the joins with colums and some wall decoration other than pictures. Using shelving and bb.moveobjects to put different decorations on them is great.
The second is done more with decoration on the ground so it doesn't always have to be things actually on the walls.
Here are some other feature walls I have done in some of my other creations, some more bed heads using different wall coverings again that match and also other objects to dress them up like the curtains.
And to show feature walls can be anywhere, the first picture is of a patio wall and the second is in a bathroom.
I hope these help for ideas and to show you don't have to go overboard with them just be creative. The idea of feature walls is to give the build its own personality.
@VioletRed if you are wanting feedback I would say no cc and as this is a learning thread for people to get ideas it would probably be best to not use cc. But in saying that if you would like to do a cc version we would love to see pictures of it so feel free to share we just wont be able to download and supply feedback.

So here is my interior for this challenge with several feature walls, lots of shelving and a creative counter island in the kitchen.
I have gone with a villa style and tried to use soft tones for a relaxing feel mixed with some greenery.
While I would normally but my kitchen and dining on the ground floor I've done things a little different with this house.
On the ground floor you will find: Bedroom
I love doing creative bedheads using two different wall coverings using colums to cover up the join. Here I used shelving to add decoration and a picture.
Bathroom
Again made some shelving to store bathroom essentials and used bb.moveobjects to put the towels on the shelf. Mirrors make the room look larger so I love using them behind baths.
Living Room
A feature wall using decoration on the ground rather than only on the wall, I used half walls to break up the room. Also a smaller feature wall to fill some bare space in the hallway.
Study/Activities room
I love trying to put as many different activities in a build as I can so that sims have plenty to do so here I combined my study with an art area and a bonsai for gardening skill.
Again some shelving with bb.moveobjects to put books on them above the computer desk.
Second Floor Kitchen
The kitchen in this villa is quite large, I decided to put the kitchen and dining on the 2nd floor with the outdoor balcony which also has a small dining table to enjoy meals outside. The kitchen is quite split up with its benches which for me is not something I normally do. The centre counter island has a wall in the middle of it to break up the room but a decorative window, shelving with bb.moveobjects used to add some more kitchen items.
I even got creative with the counters and stuck one half in the wall near the entrance to the dining room which you can see in the 2nd picture. I had to place a tall dishes cabinet on the other side of the wall to cover up the part of the counter sticking through but as both items are not usable items it has worked out. You probably couldn't put an item that is a usable item on the other side as it may prevent it from being used.
Dining Room
The dining room has a medium sized table and a bar. I got creative again with the walls using bb.moveobjects.
I saved the lot to my library and bulldozed then replaced lot to test nothing moved because I did use bb.moveobjects quite a bit and nothing moved. Make sure to do this whenever you are using this cheat.
Each of the rooms in your build look so very great! @Cbear13 There are many creative ideas and designs that you have used for each of the rooms! Very nice design and layout of the kitchen! The keys look great how they are placed on the walls either sides of the windows in the dining room! I won't post about the nice details in each of the rooms, but they look very great, and are very helpful for other simmers to look at the pictures of the rooms and/or download. and get ideas from to use when building.
Thank you @Cbear13 for your feature wall examples. They're really helpful. I like your completed build too with your kitchen island. Mine looks pants in comparison lol
Wow it's amazing @Cbear13 I love the kitchen the most and the wall behind the bed looks beautiful with the mosaic tiles! I'm just about to post mine and it's been hard for me as it's way more modern then I normally do...But, I think it's been fun and turned out ok-ish lol
As I've said before modern isn't really my style (I'm not even sure it is modern but hey ho! lol)
In the Living room I used different color paint on the walls in between the columns in the living room I also added the "wheat-less wheat grass" window boxes instead of shelving. Instead of curtains I've layered up the "laid back towel racks" to look like curtains. On the other side of the room there was a little alcove I added shelving columns and the "riveted console table" I also used the square "clothing hooks" I sized up two of them to add a bit more interest.
In the kitchen I used a half wall, corner and half round counters to make a place for the stove. On the other side of the kitchen is two shelves instead of upper cabinets so the room wasn't to boxed in as it's kind of small. there isn't a separate dining room in the house so I added two bar stools for sims to eat at. I also placed a large pot in the corner counter to give the effect of a bigger plant on the counter, On the other side of the kitchen I enlarged the oversized fork and spoon and added square light above and below and then added the vertical lights and I think this made it more of a feature and framed it in nicely.
I added a small study off the main hall way. it's simple in its decoration but I added a dark blue wall to match the desk and chair. There's movie poster framed art on two walls and plants combined together on either side of the desk. a little clutter and a lamp on the desk has finished it off.
In the main bedroom I did a similar thing behind the bed that I did in the living room behind the tv. But, this time above the window I used the "pick a peck of pennies" hanging plants and shelving with some plants and clutter. Also I used two different kinds of lights.
in the second bedroom I grouped some different wall decor together. I also added columns and the "shelf storage unit with hangers" on the big blank wall opposite then bed. Over the bed I used shelving with clutter and on the walls I used some wall decals and square lights.
There's 2 bedrooms both with attached baths and there is also a downstairs bathroom off the main entrance hall. It was really fun getting so creative with things in this practice challenge
