Awww this house is so cute I love the country feel (country girl at heart)
Ok so I love the color style you have gone with, the cream on brick with the green roofing looks wonderful. Now to clean up the roofing just a little as the right side of the house looks odd with the roofing just stopping part way along. Also at the front the lattice roofing isn't quite clean looking where they join.
Select the piece of roof and see the small arrows on the sides if you slide them in or out it lengthens or shortens the roofing overhang.
Also you will notice I continued on your theme with the flower boxes under the windows it looked strange that some had them and some didn't.
Great job with the lattice roofing really suits your build and simple but nice roof decoration
At the back of the house had a bit of bareness and having so much planters I thought having a hose somewhere and some gardening tools which you can also find in the debug menu
Also putting a gate and continuing on your path, remember these are just tips you can decorate more in another way.
Lastly don't forget your night view the lights are great decoration for the exterior also and even though you had a few it needed more in other areas. Also lining some of your pathing with some lights looks great to
Lovely patios nice and relaxing you could put some of the greenery you used on your lattice roofing on top of the small roofing you did in the backyard to match them together.
I really love this house and your style your going with cant wait to see if finished
If you select the roof you will see to little arrows off to the side if you move them in it shortens the roof edges that overhang on the gabled rooves. Another tip is if you hold shift down and just move the arrow on the side you want to shorten it will just shorten that side and not the other.

OHHH I didn't know that.
Same here looks like I better go and do another fix on the roof and I did not know about the arrow buttons to design floor tiles only to make the quarter tiles.
I wish someone would compile a compendium of building tricks in one place (maybe someone already has!). I knew about the shift key plus the little arrow for the roofing, but until @crysk told me about the Control-9 for moving objects up (Control-0 for moving down) I had no idea how people got clutter items on surfaces that normally wouldn't accept them. It has made a huge difference in the way I decorate now! (Thanks @crysk !)

Hello @StSciurus .
These are some links to hot keys and shortcuts.
Thank you very much @Cbear13 for your feedback on the exterior portion of my challenge submission!
I especially appreciate your advice for cleaning up the roofing, and the tip about the exterior lighting placement. It's kind of you to take the time to give me such detailed feedback.
Hi @Cbear13@crysk here is my challenge/part 2. Finally I used a little MOO (the statue looks awesome at night). First I choose to work with dark blue and dark grey. Then, I do not why, I changed the roof to a brighter version, and this is the final product (I think I did not remove a garden door that my sim use when visiting, lol).

Your part two looks so very nice! @emere Very nice roofing on the build! The blue and grey colour scheme of the exterior looks very nice. The exterior textures used look nice and complement each other well . Very nice lattice covered patio! The greenery adds a nice look to the lattice . The flowers look very nice lining the edges of the patio. The area with the ballerina in the midst of the flowers and the rocks lining the edges of the area looks very pretty! It looks very nice the way that you have placed the windows and the wall flower decor in a diagonal direction on the exterior wall! It gives a great look to the home! The bird is a nice touch on the roof wall. Very nice rooftop patio. The hedging looks nice as the side wall. The planter box windows and the floral lattice over the windows looks very nice. The greenery looks nice on the walls.
The home is looking very nice!
Thank you so much, @StSciurus for asking about the keys for building and @rosemow for finding the answer, it will be really handy to refer to it when I'm building.
@emere Wow, I truly love your house. It is so pretty. I aim to be as good as you one day
Sorry for the delay for those waiting on feedback Ive had a hectic few days (including a public holiday where all Simons mates decided to come over get drunk and watch football) lol.
I am doing some more feedback today
Chips I am not sure if you still wanted feedback overall because you commented you had fixed the issues I did have a quick look and I cant really critique anything as you have done a wonderful job.
The only thing I would mention is because you have decorated the side of the house so well I think you should of continued some of the same decoration on the back of the house as it looks bare compared to the side.
